They got 3 stars because the price was good. They lost 2 stars because delivery took to long. Sure Amazon has us spoiled, but taking a week to get something in the mail seems excessive.

The electronic flare arrived on time. Just had to add batteries and it worked as advertised. Going to use inshore and nearshore will still have flares when we travel far offshore. But nice to know we will be in compliance with coast guard regs.

I have placed 2 orders through Tackle Direct. They have a good selection and good prices. One order went well, but the other seemed to take an extremely long time to leave the distribution center. I don’t know if this was due to human error, but it is the reason for the 4/5 stars. I will order from them again.

What I love most about the Van Staal VR series is the ability to instantly switch spool sizes to accomodate different line sizes. It's like getting two reels for the price of one.

What customer service? Ordered two rods onsale,to bad they didnt check stock first.Had to call customer service this morning,well my rods finally came in from thier supplier,customer service,they will ship them when they get to it.I live 3000 miles away!
