Oct 04,2020We enjoyed the trip very much! The train was clean, the views were stunning and the journey was pleasant. Our daughter , 6 years old, enjoyed the trip as well and she recognised some features from Thomas the tank engine stories that she loves very much. We highly recommend the trip to everyone!

Oct 04,2020Excellent visit. A good website made it easy to book in advance. We were greeted in person on arrival and the staff we encountered were helpful. The train journey was particularly enjoyable - possibly even more so under the 'social distancing' regime as we virtually had the carriage to ourselves. It would have been nice to have been able to spend longer at Abergynolwyn but we could understand why this was not possible. All in all, a great day out.

Oct 04,2020We had a lovely few hours at the railway, even though it was a rainy day. Staff were friendly and efficient and precautions for the COVID-19 pandemic were well thought out and worked well. We had a snack halfway through the journey and service and quality were good here too.

Oct 03,2020Excellent organisation throughout, our 2nd visit during the pandemic. The railway operates through a stunning area of natural beauty, trains (locomotives and carriages) are not just clean but immaculately presented, Our party comprised of a disabled lady and a baby in a pushchair. The staff / volunteers were excellent throughout, ensuring the safety of a vulnerable person. Social distancing measures were exemplary, including Shop, Cafe and Toilet arrangements, for both able bodied and disabled visitors The Talyllyn Railway could teach far larger organisations how running your business can be done and should be done in these unprecedented times.

Oct 02,2020A fantastic day and and well organised from the moment we arrived until we left. Felt very covid safe, clean, good social distancing and knew way systems. Lovely pasty when the train stopped and quick service online with the 30 minutes we had at the station. Great staff who were all really helpful and i would highly recommend.

Oct 02,2020Even with all the restrictions in place still did not spoil our enjoyment. Well organized with friendly staff We grew up going on train rides when visiting our Grandparents and it is great that volunteers enable this attraction to still be going 40+ years laters Thank you one and all.

Oct 01,2020Excellent Covid secure compartments, station and staff and amazing scenery. We hopped off (and got back on later) at Dolgoch and walked to see the waterfalls, which was well worth the effort and was lovely. All in all, an excellent morning.

Sep 09,2020A railway is a railway (30 years in track design). In these difficult times I wish to try and convey the care and the personal touches with which my family and I were treated. The service was brilliant, pre-order the cream tea, and a lovely lady emails you personally for your drinks order! Its very clean place to visit. The carriages are separated internally, that's your compartment!!! and off you go! Will come back when you can walk at the top of the line, but for now great day out.

Oct 04,2020Took my family of five on another trip on the Talyllyn Railway, booked the tickets on line and we were given a compartment. As usual the staff were lovely, polite, friendly and extremely helpful. I would highly recommend the experience
