Automated transcription for your video and audio files.
$0.10 per minute, under 10 minutes, and varying quality based on audio quality.
I wasn't expecting 100% accuracy but the accuracy in my case was hardly usable. I had to do a lot of rewriting so I guess I will go back to my old method of using speech to text on my pc. I was really hoping this would work!
The audio I added was good quality but did not translate in a usable manner. I did ask for a refund and their response was timely.
Some of the transcriptions have been truly amazing and really helpful with my work. A few of them, even with good audio and running them twice come back with nothing and I have to do all 3 hours by hand. Overall I really like the program and am happy I found it. The time stamps can be a little weird and not copy correctly in the download, but still good!
Transcriptions are fairly accurate. The editing interface is excellent.
I found that the first one was great followed what the voices had said but I have now done an additional 4 and they have been more work for me as they have not been very accurate at all. The last one I could not even use at all it was very far from the voices. I may not use the service if it is not at least 60% accurate. It takes too much to redo it.
TEMI is very easy to use and to output. Some of the machine transcription is less accurate (a lot so) than an actual transcriptionist hearing and interpreting... but at 10% of the cost... a good value for these projects where WORD-PERFECT accuracy is not essential and tweaks are easy to make.
We have used Temi for multiple purposes now, including transcribing books in to audio books and videos in to blogs. The transcriptions are quite accurate! We will continue to use Temi for lots of functions.
i would actually put the rating at 2.5 stars right now. The idea is great and the delivery is excellent. multiple speakers is a real challenege here
I have been transcribing interviews for years for my radio show. It always took a long time and I hated it! Now with Temi, they transcribe the whole interview and it only takes me minutes to go through and edit it.
So far I am extremely happy with the ease of recording an audio and then going back to finesse the language through Temi. I confess...I still cannot figure out how to master the mobile app, where my call should go right there. However--I have not given it my due diligence or responded to the offer for help yet. Overall, compared to other similar products, I cannot imagine a better commitment to making the process of transcription easier.
This was an appealing concept since I was having trouble figuring how to do my own voice transcription. However, the transcript was virtually useless. Not even close to what the recording was. I had to listen and re-transcribe the entire thing. Waste of time. Loved the thought of a cheaper alternative to Rev but this is not it. Not yet anyway.
This is an amazing service. The future of transcription. So easy and fast to use.
I've looked for a program to transcribe mp3 lecture/messages for a long time. And Temi.com is by far the best I've found. It's not perfect of course, but I don't expect that. It is, however, pretty accurate and extraordinarily fast. It's a great resource and I'm glad I found Temi.
Extremely inaccurate
Temi is a wonderful transcription service and it delivers at the speed we all are working in today's sped up post production world.
This has been very helpful to me as I write the memoir of a colleague through phone interviews.
So far the transcripts are too erroneous to be useful. "Speaker" delineation seems to follow a pause rather than voice.
I write for a living and I record all my interviews. Temi has saved me weeks of transcription time -- and at prices I can afford. Temi is very good at transcribing different accents. I get 80%-90% accuracy. The read-along text cued to the recording make cleanup a breeze. I'd like to see some sort of payment tracking in my dashboard, so I can keep better record of my production costs. In a single word, indispensable.
love this service.
