Nov 03,2023The company was very professional and pleasant in their communications with me. I was kept up to date on the circumstances surrounding my order and request for services. Customers are given a timeframe as to when their requested service will be completed. In the event that you need assistance with whether you could use other mobile service providers and if your phone is compatible with other carriers, The Unlocking Company will work through the intricacies to get your phone up and running in the best way possible. Their customer service is awesome which is very much missing from many businesses. I would use their services again if needed in the future.

Oct 28,2023great people one thing to note though they don't like to respond at least not to me. but yea my google pixel 6 was locked to spectrum and i sent it in to the the unlocking company and they were able to unlock it fast i just didn't know if they unlocked it because they never responded lol. but yea they are still a great buisness and they are trustworthy they are not a scam

Oct 27,2023I got fooled. I place my order 10/22/2023 to unlick my iphone and they said to wait 72 hours (3days). Its way over 3 days now (10/27/2023) its 5 days now. I emailed, called and txt for answers but no reply. I put my risk in this company thinking its legit.😡

Oct 27,2023[This is an updated review about how the site was having "Technical Difficulties and me getting a refund and response eventually] They said that my order would take 1-72 hours. It has been more than a week and I haven't heard back from them. I first tried to email them, and they never responded. I then tried calling their "24/7" phone number which had no sound on their end and then texting them on their support number, with no response. Don't ever buy from this company, I paid 29$ and my phone is still locked. UPDATE 2: I got a response from them recently apologizing for the delay telling me they were still working on the unlock. However, i already network unlocked my phone though a different company, so I asked for a refund. However, it seemed that they wanted me TAKE MY REVIEW DOWN first (specifically they wrote; "If you could take the review down I would be MORE than happy to obviously 100% refund you ASAP! Plus, anything you need in the future we could give you a great discount on, which you more than deserve"). After i told them that is not how that should work and how that's bribery, they sent a follow-up email saying that they sent the refund already, so i wasn't sure what was about. after a week, the refund eventually arrived to my bank account yesterday night (as of writing this review) but then they asked me AGAIN if I could take the review down (Quote;"Alex, could you please please take down the negative review. We never meant to leave you hanging, or cause you stress."). I told them that i can't take my review down as if my initial experience (getting 0 response when I text call and email them) never happened, and that I felt it could be against trustpilot's terms of service. Finally, the site seems to be back up (see update 1) and I got a full refund and I'm glad they kept their word and hopefully people don't have the same experience as me in the future. UPDATE 1: After trying to go back to their site, it seems like it's because of "technical difficulties". specifically, it reads: "Sorry, we're doing some work on the site Thank you for being patient. We are currently experiencing technical difficulties and not taking new orders at the moment. If you have an existing order, please email: sales @theunlockingcompany.com" I'm pretty skeptical that it's actally down because of technical difficulties as; 1.there's complete radio silence from them when I tried contacting them multiple times 2. The site was down yesterday on October 28 and today on October 29 it's still down somehow, and could've been down for longer before the 28th but I wasn't checking that everyday. 3. There's a high chance they are using this as a sick excuse/coverup to take peoples money and run away with it. You literally cannot use this service right now (not like you should) and not probably for a while because of "technical difficulties", and many customer's order might not ever get fulfilled. Last thing, if the site ever goes back up, I hope that nobody (including whoever is reading this) thinks twice to order a sim unlock from theunlockingcompany.com.

Oct 26,2023Why do they only respond to people who give them a good review? This is a whole scam they bank on people not reading the terms and agreement! They send you all those updates like they are doing everything in their power knowing they can't unlock your phone. They clearly explain that they will blacklist your "IMEI" and if you try to do a chargeback "they will send your bank the term and agreement" and they will win and even get half of the refund back they sent to you. What a complete joke. They have done their research and word everything in their favor. What's funny is either they have an "AMAZING CORNY 4-5 STAR REVIEW" OR A 1 STAR REVIEW🤦🏾♂️. PLEASE KNOW YOU WILL ONLY GET HALF OF YOUR MONEY BACK! LASTLY, THE CORNY EMAIL FROM THE OWNER on how upset he is and how he ran back to the office when he found out I was not only refunded but put on the wrong list. Which was a lie I was refunded $13.26. He sends that to help them when the chargeback claim. In their response is a lie I have all their emails and my replies back to them!

Oct 22,2023UPDATED: The company continued to openly communicate and issued me a credit minus the fees. I am convinced this is a transparent and trust-worthy operation, and I would enlist its services again when required. I am giving the company the benefit of the doubt for now as their communication has been incredibly detailed, consistent and pretty endearing for its vow of honesty and transparency....at least until I began inquiring about the promised refund. They were VERY clear that their may be some issues unlocking some phones, but if that was the case, and my phone could not be unlocked, they would refund part of my money (minus unspecific/TBD fees) and keep trying on my behalf. Nice. I was receiving constant informative updates and then came the email saying they could not unlock it. OK. I get it. What I didn't get was 1) My refund. 2) Any further emails about my refund. 3) Any response to the several emails I sent inquiring about my refund. OK. Maybe it takes time for the refund, but why the sudden radio silence? Guess I'll find out.

To make matters worse , when refunding money they take huge chunk out the purchase price. I think they are a scam . They was the ones who automatically gave refund and not me who requested it. That makes me suspicious of them and there services. Beware.

I was told they couldn’t do it and would refund my money and they didn’t Gave another chance this year 9/24/23.. was told they still do not have the program to unlock my phone and I would be getting a refund.. it’s been 15 business days and nothing.. just don’t bother..You gonna get scammed.I’ve been burned twice so there’s that.🤷🏾♀️

Oct 18,2023I used this "company" because of a YouTube video I watched with the host recommending it. The time came that I needed a phone unlocked and I didn't hesitate to use them. I made 100% sure to read the red and bold print that they put on the email receipt I received immediately after purchasing. It states that they will not be bullied with bad reviews or people asking for a refund after purchasing and if you do so they will blacklist your phone so you can't use it at all. BUT it says that they only do that if you message them before your 72 hours is up and if your just being a rude jerk and harassing them basically. They also say that if you contact them they will respond almost immediately or very shortly after. Well today makes day 6 that I placed an order with them. I waited the 72 hours before I sent ANY type of message about my order. My first form of contact was via email to them NO RESPONSE so I then tried the number they provided to text them NO RESPONSE I also tried calling the phone # they provided on their website NO ANSWER it just ALWAYS says sorry we're out of the office or helping someone else. EVERY message that I have sent I am being 100% nice and understanding and only asking for an update. I'VE RECEIVED NOTHING ABSOLUTELY NO RESPONSE AT ALL. Now I can see why people ask for a full refund. They take your money upfront then completely ghost you in every way possible. Who wouldn't feel like they got SCAMMED. In my personal opinion this is basically THEM BEING THE BULLIES by taking our money and then refusing to communicate or do what they promised in their "pitch" to get get you to spend your money with them. It's completely unprofessional and just down right RUDE!!!! I'm one of the easiest most understanding people to exist but when you just outright IGNORE ME IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE after accepting my money to perform a service that you promised why wouldn't I expect my money back when you don't do your part AT ALL? Just one text or one emailed returned saying we apologize for the delay but please know we are working on your order and we will update you as soon as we know something would have made ALL THE DIFFERENCE but I didn't get that. I got nothing!! I wanted to love this company SOOO badly and was looking forward to doing lots of business with them and giving them an amazing review but all I can say is that in my personal experience with the unlocking company they are a scam. They are completely unprofessional and don't get your hopes up. If your someone that likes communication or getting what you paid for then choose another company to spend your money and time with. I have not yet put in for my money back with my bank in complete FEAR that they will try to blacklist me (how is that not being bullied) when they took my money and gave me NOTHING but an invoice in return.

Oct 16,2023it's been over a week since i paid for the unlocking of my phone. my phone is still locked and i received no news from the company. to make matters worse, i received two threatening emails that threaten to permanently lock my phone. let that sink in for a minute: i paid money to a company to unlock my phone and in return they threatened to permanently lock my phone. isn't that against the law?

Oct 10,2023The Fxxxing scammer company. This is B.S. Let me tell everyone how the unlocking company is a scam. It’s 2023 and I paid for the company to unlock a phone that came out in 2017 ( Samsung galaxy S8) and they can’t unlock it. Phone paid out and not blacklisted. They also claimed they refund me I never received that back. This is some B.S. If you don’t wanna lose your money I suggest you pick another unlocking company LOL.
