Oct 09,2024My wife and I have relied on travel companies in the past for some of our travel and generally we've had very good service. But Up Norway really stands out as the most well-polished, professional company we have dealt with. Whether it was the initial trip planning by their detail-oriented and knowledgeable team, arranging great accommodations and transportation, working out final details, executing the trip, assisting with any issues that might have arisen (very few and weather-related), or assisting with any post-trip details, Up Norway was always there and we were very comfortable in knowing someone was always available for assistance if required. In addition, the App they provided for our phones with all of the trip logistics was over the top, providing easy navigation, superb details for each location, and one-stop administrative details (such as all required tickets) for the trip. This attention to detail and professionalism allowed us to focus on enjoying a wonderful 20-day trip in the beautiful country of Norway. We plan to return and would not hesitate to use Up Norway again. Very highly recommended!

May 27,2024A trip to Norway has been a long-held dream, so I started planning. After much research, I realised that we wouldn't make the most of our holiday without some professional help, and contacted Up Norway. From the first discussion, it was apparent that this was a company we felt comfortable doing business with. The trip planning process was very thorough, with the consultants working hard to understand our want and needs, and (most important) our budget. There were several long delays at our end (sickness etc), but when we were ready to restart the process, so were Up Norway. Once the plans were locked in, we received a detailed itinerary showing where we would be on every day, where we would stay, and how we would get there. This information was replicated in the app, together with hotel vouchers, travel tickets, background information and suggested activities. The app also allowed us to communicate directly in the event anything went wrong (nothing did). Our consultant Torstein used the chat function to check up on us several times to ensure everything was going OK (it was). Compared with other trips we planned ourselves, this experience was very positive. Every detail was considered in advance, all the hotels were expecting us, and all the transport (bus, train, ferry and airline) integrated seamlessly. There is no doubt a premium paid to have somebody arrange your whole trip for you, but it was worth every cent. We highly recommend Up Norway.

Feb 10,2024I chose UpNorway after browsing through several Scandinavian travel agencies late one night in May 2023 because I knew I wanted to see the northern lights in January for my birthday. A previously bad experience with an Icelandic travel agency made me cautious trying again, but from the beginning UpNorway was nothing but communicative, responsive, and enthusiastic about creating a tailor made itinerary for my birthday trip. Everything was handled seamlessly and the app with our detailed itinerary (that was available both on and offline) was invaluable. The weather was unfortunately uncooperative during our trip and the UpNorway team was there every step of the way helping us navigate the cancellation of excursions and rescheduling of domestic flights (all due to bad weather). I have never had such an amazing experience with a travel agency and I recommend them wholeheartedly. So much so that I’m going to utilize them again for a second trip to Norway later this year to try to see the northern lights again. Pauline, Mari, Karin, Torstein and the rest of the team were absolutely phenomenal and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

They were flexible throughout the process, found is an among place to stay, and amazing adventures to go on. The team were always on hand to answer questions or solve any issues. The whole holiday really felt like it was getting to know the best of Norway in a way that was away from the crowds and the usual places to visit. Oct 12,2023The staff at Up Norway listened to our interests and crafted a wonderful 3-week tour for us. The "My Trip" app made travel simple, with all our tickets and reservation information in one place. During the trip the staff were very responsive to our questions and did a terrific job re-booking our flights back to Oslo after the original flight was canceled due to fog. We are seasoned travelers and have to say that this company is one of the best we've traveled with. They are first class - we can't recommend them enough!

In my opinion this was the ideal way to see the beautiful country of Norway enjoying the landscape and some adventure activities. The trip itinerary was catered to our needs and the app was very useful with all its information and links. All we had to do was follow it and turn up. Mari was available through chat if we had any queries. All in all travelling with Up Norway was the best decision we made. I highly recommend them for a dream journey to Norway.

I trusted them to take care of the activities and the places we stayed and it was just amazing. We have new passions now and want to live there…permanently if we may.

Oct 13,2022I first contacted Up Norway through 62 nord and since the first time I was in interatctiom with them to plan my trip to Norway at least 4 months ahead of my actual visit and they created a customized itinerary for me. They listened to my idea of what I was looking for and then created an itinerary far beyond what I could have imagined or planned on my own. We explored the fjords, hiked, boated, and visited museums. Everything was planned to the last letter and it was like clockwork with no surprises popping up. The app ( trip plans) where they shared my itinerary was amazingly helpful as never did I feel to contact anybody personally to eat any issues resolved for me. At Hustadvika there was a slight issue with dinner one night and with just one message the Goyal manager cooked a special meq for us and also served us a bottle of sparkling wine as compensation for the delay. This was only possible because of UP NORWAY. I am so glad I used Up Norway for this trip. I have already referred them to all my friends.

The ultimate in professional planning and executing a personalised trip though Norway, custom fit to your activities, places of interest and locations, for whatever timescale you require. The team is superb, from start to finish. We planned our trip five times, delayed by the pandemic, yet the Up Norway team communicated with us every step of the way until we were able to finally experience some of what Norway has to offer. One of the most important aspects of a holiday like this, is the ability to have a stress free time. The team know how to achieve this. The itinerary was perfect for our wishes. The transportation was effortless and the offline use of the app allowed us to stay on course without any fuss, relaxing as we went, with the time we required at each venue. The information given in advance was accurate. The trip involved excellent food in superb hotels with impeccable planning. This allowed us to see Norway and what it has to offer - not worrying about the next meal, the quality of hotel or where the next transport was. If you wish to have your time in Norway maximised but not rushed; if you would like to experience the country without the hassle, then the team at Up Norway is the place to go. Oct 03,2022Up Norway is a first-class organization with great ability to create a customized vacation/holiday to Norway. They listened to my family's interest and developed the itinerary far beyond what I could have done on my own. We explored the fjords, sea kayaked above the artic circle, hiked, boated, and visited museums. Stayed on Manshausen Island. Probably the most unique, beautiful, 5 star, and relaxing places on earth. Never would have known of this resort/island if not for Up Norway. Also, this trip was scheduled and paid for March of 2020 to depart April 2020. COVID hit. Up Norway proactively kept me informed of travel during the 2 years. When travel opened up, they rebooked the trip and modified to make even better than the first plan. I have traveled to Europe and Australia 20+ times. Most I have scheduled on my own. I am so glad I used Up Norway for this trip. When returning to Norway, I'll use Up Norway again.

Sep 26,2022We spent a month in Norway from late August to the end of September in 2022. We had a rough idea of the regions we wanted to explore (South, Western Fjords, Lofoten, various national parks) with a bias towards smaller villages off the beaten track with access to hiking trails given our love for Mother Nature. UpNorway did an exceptional job developing a customized itinerary that leveraged their deep knowledge of Norway while meeting our needs and budget. They made great suggestions on hiking trails, saunas and places to check out. Their choices of small hotels was exquisite - Stanagrad (Hardanger), Beste Bakke (Hafslo), Knutholmen (Kalvag), Skabu mountain lodge (Skabu) and Havlikka lodge (Leknes, Lofoten). Our hosts were attentive, the food was exceptional and we truly had a once in a lifetime experience. If you want to make the most out of your trip to Norway we would highly recommend working with the team at UpNorway.

The kids and myself saw amazing places, tried new activities and sports, slept in great spots, without them, we wouldn't have lived those experiences ! We were lucky enough to work with Torunn and her outstanding team at Up Norway to plan the 2-week Norwegian portion of our trip. They truly know Norway and love sharing its unique beauty, geography, culture, history, and people with travelers. Even though we were vacationing during high season we wanted to try to avoid densely populated tourist centers. Torunn and the Up Norway team were able to identify places and experiences that were off-the-beaten path, which we might never have found on our own. We were very impressed with the effort they took to understand our interests and travel needs, make excellent recommendations, then curate a customized itinerary accordingly. Up Norway also works with an array of local partners and operators, all of whom provide excellent service and good value. Not only did Up Norway book wonderful hotels and restaurants but also car rentals, domestic flights, museums, private guides, and outdoor experiences like hiking, cycling, kayaking, and fjord cruises. We were also very impressed with the degree of organization and follow through at Up Norway. There was not one glitch in any of the arrangements and they provide clear, useful information and booking confirmations in their user-friendly mobile app. Thanks to Up Norway this proved to be one of our most enjoyable and stress-free vacations. Jan 04,2025My partner and I have done a few travels to different parts of the world. We have had a mix of relying on travel curators and planning it ourselves. The reason we prefer planning it ourselves is that we do not want to be clubbed into a group with instructions on what to do and what not to do, we much rather explore a place on our own and find out about it even if that means missing out on "Instagram worthy things". SO we had that in the back of our mind when we first contacted UpNorway. But from the point of first contact, they have been professional and helpful without being in your face. Planning an itinerary, tweaking it to our preferences, accepting our randomness, making sure all details were there in the app (did I mention how useful that app was at every point of time with links to directions etc.) and then finally during the trip being there for help through chat even for last minute questions. It was a pleasure to work with such professional team. Danny and Karin - this trip was a dream and made true because of the two of you and the team.
