Sep 01,2023Besides the good reviews they've received so far, I unfortunately experienced the complete opposite and can only recommend to stay away from Van Junkies and the battery manufacturer listed on their website. I had issue, after issue, after issue. It started off with parts missing from my £6k order, all fuses and fuse holder were the wrong sizes, the Touch GX stopped working after 1 week and last but not least I've received two dodgy batteries, each battery worth £1150. The director of Van Junkies and the battery manufacturing company still only admit to one battery being faulty, however my system did not work with any of them. I thought maybe I did something wrong, so I checked the system over and over again, charged both batteries individually, did lots of trouble shooting with both directors, that are part of the technical support team, connected the system to each individual battery but nothing worked, my system did not fire up. After weeks of being questioned with a condescending tone by the director of Van Junkies, I've decided to get the batteries tested by a third party. It was confirmed that at least one of the batteries was faulty. To be certain, I've asked BBL to borrow one of their lithium batteries with a BMS and as as soon as I connected it, everything worked perfectly fine, DC and AC. Instead of getting an apology from either of the companies, it was continuously suggested that I installed the system incorrectly, that I didn't read any of the manuals and therefore I damaged the batteries. I then contacted a caravan engineer to check and test my system, he also confirmed that the set up and installation was correct and all apps have been programmed as suggested within the victron manuals. I involved Trading Standards and advised Van Junkies that I would consider pursuing them via the small claims court if I do not receive the refund as suggested by the director himself. I've now finally received the money, still lost over £300 though as I've only received a 70% refund for the second battery (too long to explain) and I had to buy two new batteries (obviously not from Van Junkies nor the battery company advertised on their website) to finally start my travels. I've been travelling now for almost a month and my system is working perfectly. It seems, if everything works fine, Van Junkies are great but if you are a woman and challenge them about a product that is not working and that is worth over £2k, prepare yourself of being treated with no respect whatsoever. A descent company would have just apologised and sorted it out, especially if the products have been purchased less than 6 months ago.

Aug 31,2023Excellent service support and advice from first contact to commissioning. I am so pleased that I chose to buy my van charging products from Van Junkies . Whilst the product is described as simple, referenced in many on line van build websites, and in many of the books. It’s nice to know the seller can support you. I chose the higher end with Victron products. The quality of service from the VJ team in the first stage of me selecting the right product to buy for my van, saved me a huge amount of time and money. Then once installed (which is very simple),I then looked to the Van Junkie tech team to guide me through the connection and commissioning process. Their patience experience knowledge and professionalism was exceptional. I would not have got the very important added value from any other seller. I made the right decision and would recommend you do the same.

Absolutely brilliant honest advice and backup support, we couldn't have done our solar and associated control, charger, inverter, wires, cables connectors etc without them. We will definitely be talking to them again about upgrades and our next project. 10/10!

So I made a mistake on my order - I went on live chat at 9pm, was answered right away and my refund was in my account before I left the chat... Never have I ever had a refund this quick... outstanding service. Will continue to support this small business throughout my Van Build

Jun 13,2023Don’t bother with this company. I ordered a solar panel to be delivered to my work whilst I was away working as I had a power issue with my current setup. The site said they had stock, ordered a panel at nearly £300. Gets a text message the following day saying oh it’s out of stock here’s your money back-which you can have in 3-5 days. Instead of a phone call to say there had been an error on the system and would I like to choose another panel seen as they still my money. Now they have left me at work with no power and now no money to get another panel sorted. Absolute waste of space of a company

Nov 13,2022Ordered a 360w pro solar power kit from Van Junkies. I needed to message late at night with a query and received detailed information straight back. This company goes out of its way to help with fantastic customer service. Items were delivered very fast and in good condition, also received additional after sales support at normally closed shop hours. Great company, will be using again.

Oct 05,2022AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST. Wouldnt give any stars if I could. THIS COMPANY ARE SCAMMING PEOPLE. They make discounts for kits and then charge almost 50 % more than they discounted an item at when you change that item for a different 1 than in the kit. This company tried scamming me twice in the same quote, including trying to charge more for items than they were listed for on there website. Trading standards need to investigate this company. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR, SHOP ELSEWHERE
