Acme Revival is an American reverse engineering firm based in Denver, Colorado. They are best known for repair and remanufacturing of speciality commercial electronics. Acme formed in 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic repairing critical medical devices that were experiencing a shortage. In 2023 they announced they had successfully repaired 10,000 speciality medical devices to date. Acme has come under scrutiny for publishing details of repairs including their own schematics and repair techniques manufacturers claimed may compromise proprietary information.
I purchased two medical devices from Acme Revival for a total of over $13,000. Both items were defective and when they were returned to the company, they never refunded my money and kept the equipment!!! I was sent an email saying they were having difficulty refunding me my money due to problems with their payment processor "Stripe". They said to try to get a refund from my credit card...the only problem is that I was told to do this after the time frame when the credit card could issue me a refund. So here I am...no equipment and $13,000 less money in my pocket.
very bad experience with theis company they just cancel your order with even a notification until you call them and find out the order is cancelled for no reason! saty away SCAAAAM
Avoid this company unless they start being honest. We had a terrible experience after returning a benchtop centrifuge that broke down (while under their warranty). They gave us the run around for several months, then said that they returned our money to the original credit card (with no electronic reference information, just their word). Luckily our bank is pursuing this. Responses are empty of any information and sound like they are generated by Chatgpt. I dont think this company is located in the US. Their listed address comes up as blur on Google maps. I suspect that they are located in China. This would explain why they need several months to determine if they can repair an instrument. I think they should be honest about their situation, so that consumers can decide if they are worth the hassle. Drop the empty responses, you only make people very angry. If they were honest and gave realistic timelines for repair, they might survive as there is a need for reliable used equipment. And if they didn't refund our money but are scamming, I hope their business gets burned to the ground.
WORST experience ever, don't even try to purchase from them. I made an order for ~ $1100, and my credit card was charged the whole cost. After almost 3 weeks, I received an email from them saying that the order was canceled and the refund couldn't be processed successfully by their merchant. I was asked to dispute the transaction with my credit card issuer to have the refund. So, I didn't get the item, and I have spent more than one month for the issue to be resolved by my bank to get the stolen money back. STAY AWAY
I purchased a used Pelton Crane autoclave that was listed as a functional device. After paying for the device, it took them several weeks to deliver it, after multiple calls were made. Upon receiving the item, it DID NOT work. I had two different independent repair people confirm it. Acme did pay for the return, but told me they had to have their "team" evaluate the product defect. I still have not received a refund. They are "blaming" their credit processor and told me to file a complaint with my credit company. What crap!!!!~! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
Since Trustpilot would not allow for my honest review of Acme Revival, let me summarize my feelings about this company. They are the absolute worst. I would recommend that no one ever does business with them. They took my money and never delivered the product that was ordered. This happened more than once. Customer service was a joke and only served to inflame the situation. Steer clear of Acme Revival.
They randomly cancelled my order with some vague response that "it did not meet FDA standards". I don't work for the FDA and at no point said this to them. I was not consulted prior to the cancellation (which, by the way, was two full weeks after the date they initially claimed they would deliver). Very dissatisfied. Would highly discourage using this company.
DO NOT USE ACME!! I sent my sensor to this company for repair, they said I would receive a price estimate and would need to approve it before they began. They sent the estimate and began work before I gave my approval. They then sent the sensor back, but it was a completely different one than I sent. They assured me it was mine but I showed photo proof so they would believe me. They then sent back my sensor and what began as an internal issue had changed, as the whole outside was broken off into pieces. They claimed that this is how they received the sensor initially, but it was shipped in bubble wrap. Now the company is refusing to fix the problem they made. Their website says satisfaction guaranteed, but after my experience I know that is a COMPLETE LIE!!!!
Purchased a dental compressor with a one year warranty on d 12/27/2021. One head was making a really bad noise when i received and it gave out after using for 5 months. Sent the motor back for repair in August with no repair being done although they said the part was ordered in early September. Chat with them today was informed case was closed. I have no motor for air compressor that I spent thousands for. I would never purchase from this company again.
Purchased a piece of equipment less than a year ago and had a one-year warranty included. It failed prior to warranty expiration. Submitted a claim. Claim denied after a day later after a representative validated the claim. Email exchange below "Hi there, Thanks for reaching out. I have successfully verified your order details based on the information you have provided. The device within this order comes with a 1-Year Guarantee from the date of purchase. You can file a warranty claim through this link. Please include evidence (photos, video, etc) in your submission to show the defect. It would help our technicians properly diagnose the issue and give a proper resolution. Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns regarding this process. I would be glad to assist you." Stay away from this company "Hello, This email is in response to a recently submitted warranty claim on acmerevival.com Upon further review, we’re unable to approve your claim at this time. This is typically a result of a violation of our terms of service, or an exclusion from our warranty coverage that applies to your claim. We do regret we weren’t able to assist further at this time." -- Anne Acme Revival Help Desk NA Acme Revival Denver
Horrible customer service Would never use again Can’t even call to talk to them The shipment was late and on top the broker and HST was not included So unprofessional
I was sent a $700 cardiac monitor for free. It wasn't ordered. When I tried to send it back, I was told my call wasn't valuable to them, but I could chat online. After 20 minutes of accomplishing nothing on chat I quit. A month later I realized that one of my cardiac monitors previously ordered had the wrong BP cuff so i decided to call again hoping to give back this free $700 machine if they would send me the BP cuff that actually matched the monitor that I did buy. Same thing. Wouldn't take my call so tried the online chat. You know, the one where they ask a question, take 12 minutes to respond, then ask another question that you had already answeered and then take another 12 minutes to respond? So i closed that down and sent a email. My reply was "sorry, the warranty doesn't cover the BP cuff." Huh?I wasn't asking about a warranty, i wanted the actual bp cuff that was meant to go with the machine I did order and if they would be so nice as to give me what they owed me, then I would make the effort to give them back their monitor that I didn't pay for. Oh well, anyone want a Welch Allyn Propac monitor with printer? I don't need it and evidently Acme doesn't either.……Oh, and did I mention it takes weeks to months to receive your purchase
Site show they had 8 items in stock. I did due diligent by asking the rep to confirm stock before ordering. One day after the purchase, they said they were not able to fulfill the order due to stock. I checked the website and it now show that had 9 instead of 8. All in all I lost out on a flash deal elsewhere.
Yesterday I made a purchase for laser, after making the purchase they voided the sale stating they they had no inventory. Yesterday they had 5 for sale. Today they still have 5 for sale at a huge increase in price. This is the second time I have had very bad experience with them. The first was back in November where I communicated with them and received a quote for the laser. A week later I still went to make the purchase even when they could not answer simple questions about the product such as the date of manufacture. They doubled the price! They gave a poor excuse of dynamic pricing and to try again later it might go back down. Against my better judgment I looked again and found it listed for less. So I bought it just to have them void the sale and lying that they do not have the inventory. Today they still have 5 units for sale at a huge markup. They are an unethical and dishonest company who use deceit in dealing with customers. Anyone looking to purchase any equipment from Acme Revival should NOT do business with them. ***update*** Their rubber stamped reply does not address the facts listed here. They had 5 units for sale on Sunday at a certain price, and still 5 for sale the next day at huge markup immediately after not honoring my purchase. I have screen shots and supporting documents of the pricing from 1/16/22 and from the next day. I have a purchase conformation number and I have an order number from after they processed my order. 5 hours later I receive an email stating that they no inventory. Acme Revival is in business to make money I have no issue with that. However the way they conduct business is unethical. Buyers beware.
DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY. This is by far the worst company I have ever purchased anything from in my professional career. I spent over $4000 on a fundus camera to better serve my patients. Initially, there was issue with the software, which they corrected, so I thought we were off to a good start, however, once I got the software working, it became clear that the images weren’t clear. Reaching someone over the phone is impossible, so you have to get support tickets. These take days to have someone get back to you. After months of back and forth, I had yet been able to use the machine for actual patient care. Technicians weren’t able to resolve why the images were cut off, so they offered to send a n ew DSLR. I received a new attachment, only to have the images to appear the EXACT SAME way. The technicians told me they don’t know why it’s happening or how to fix it. Finally, they told me to just return the entire camera under warranty and bring it unpackaged to a carrier facility. I brought it in to which the company packaged it and shipped it out (as I was instructed to do by ACME). I was informed by ACME that there was supposed damage during shipping that caused an internal piece to be damaged. I received no images to indicate that the box was somehow damaged during shipping or anything to indicate the actual shipping was the issue. Rather, I was showed images of a dismantled machine claiming the damage was done by the carrier facility and that the device would be returned to me. Damage that was likely there BEFORE I received the camera and why it never worked properly. No help as to how to fix it or that anything could be done. The entire process has been over a year with no resolve. The staff here is not helpful and looking further, it appears this company does this frequently. They are fraudulent and gave the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They are scamming people out of money for products that are not adequately refurbished and making people pay for additional warranties that they will not grant and just blame the carrier facility. 0 out of 10 stars.
Unit arrived broken,Terrible service, unit arrived broken twice now, as I had sent back for 'warranty', they sent unit back again to me still broken, won't return phone calls. I have received emails, but still have broken unit, no way to send back yet. Will update review as I get info. 12/24/21 update, now they claim I did 'unauthorized repairs' on the unit that arrived broken. Apparently I did the repairs on the same day it arrived at the office, as I have the receipt of delivery and filed a complaint with them the same day. I guess they think I am a magician....next step small claims court.
I traded in one of my old slit lamps and recently purchased a better model using the credit from that sale. The entire process took less than a month and I can finally perform exams again.
I was looking at a blood pressure machine but wasn't ready to buy. The next day, the same machine was almost half the price! I immediately purchased it because I'm not sure I'll get a better deal anywhere else.
I wasn't able to download the user manual for my microscope due to its age. Luckily I was able to contact the original manufacturer to get it set up.

Oct 13,2023Charged my credit card for an AED without shipping it, in violation of Visa's rules. Sent me a series of emails claiming my product was being prepared for shipment. Nearly three weeks later, days after it was supposed to arrive, I complained - so they cancelled my order. I see numerous similar complaints. Stay away from this company - cannot be trusted.
