Mike McCone did an amazing job taking our application and guiding us to the documents needed. Our loan closed last Friday at a very fair rate, and we are pleased. As long time USAA customers, it was difficult to step outside of service with them, but we heard about American Finance through Mark Levin.

I have dealt with several mortgage companies over the years, be it investments or purchases for us personally, This is the first time I have had a good experience with a mortgage company, American Financing was easy to deal with, they told me what documents I would need and did not keep asking for additional docs. What I liked most was that our refi was with one person start to finish who actually answered her phone or returned calls promptly, That is a big plus in doing business.

Each time I requested a Loan Estimate it was incorrect. It was showing an escrow when I asked to not escrow property tax and insurance. I received two Closing Disclosures that were incorrect. I stated that I did not want to add closing costs to the amount of the loan - that I would pay them out of pocket. A third one was sent to me two days before closing and it was incorrect as well. I emailed and called about it and got no response. When I closed the closing costs were added to the loan amount. At this point I went ahead and signed everything because I was tired of dealing with it. The closing was on Saturday. On Monday I requested via email a copy of the appraisal because I had signed a document stating that one had been emailed to me when it had not. It is now Friday and I have gotten no response. Very poor customer service!

I really enjoyed working with Keith Kibe. He was great with his communication, patient with all of my questions as a first-time home buyer, and was just really personable. Any time I contacted him, he responded sooner than expected. I also appreciated how much he was in contact with my realtor through the whole process. Misleading and abysmal communication I was told that I would be able to skip two mortgage payments and was only able to skip one. The communication around my closing was abysmal. I didn't ever receive any confirmation from them and was trying to reach them one hour before my closing to confirm that it was even going to happen!

From the initial contact with American Financing, through the end of this process, I would say that this was the easiest, most efficient, and least stressful loan I have ever obtained. We were always kept in the loop, and the expectations were always clearly laid out. I would highly recommend American Financing to anyone looking for a home loan, or to refinance an existing loan. Good job.

My husband and I were thinking about refinancing. I kept hearing about American Financing on the radio and thought we should at least give them a try along with several other companies we were considering. I am so glad we did. We worked with Nathan Rogers, he was honestly one of the nicest, most knowledgeable and patient people we had spoken with. He was able to walk us through the refinancing process and get us the loan we were searching for. Of all the other lenders we spoke to, we could not find a better rate than with American Financing. Our refinance is finished and we could not be happier. I would highly recommend American Financing and Nathan Rogers!

Joseph Podwika was great from the first conversation I had with him until the loan closed. I had a couple of questions along the way and he answered them quickly and accurately. The loan turned out just like he said it would and it was done in a short period of time. The loan closed recently and I have already recommended him to a friend.
