I sent an email asking a few questions about a fluval aquarium and received a quick and informative response. I then ordered the aquarium. It was delivered within 10 days. The driver telephoned me half an hour beforehand as promised. The delivery guys were very pleasant and careful with my new aquarium and helped me check it before leaving. The aquarium came with a flat pack cupboard which was very easy to put together and is very good quality. I would highly recommend using this company, most certainly for aquariums. I'm a very happy customer 😀
Ordered a month ago. Phoned after a week or so to chase order up, only to be told it was out of stock. Since then have tried phoning and emailing, no response to any. Just tried to contact them via contact form on website, only to get error message saying i am not authorised to do so! Having now read other reviews, which I wish i had done before ordering, I see this is not an isolated occurrence. Not at all hopeful of getting either the ordered goods or my money back :-( UPDATED 25/08/2016. Goods finally arrived, just a few days after writing this review, coincidental or not?
I ordered a Laguna pro net on 30th July 2016 & received a cheaper net supposedly picked by accident. When I called Arkpets they told me that after I had sent a photo of the net & barcode they would send me the correct item as it was in stock just the wrong one sent out but that I could keep the incorrect item as a gesture of goodwill anyway. After hearing nothing back from them I chased on 8th August and was told the item I had paid for was out of stock. I called on 18th August as there was no mention the item was out of stock on their website and was told by James that they did not know when the item was going to be back in so I asked if he could maybe contact the suppliers to ask & he said that they wouldn't give him an answer even if he did!!! I think they need a more customer focused supplier. I asked if the incorrect item could be collected as that was the only way to get a refund but as I'd already paid postage and been messed around I asked if when finally my item did arrive if it could be sent out free of charge. I received the answer that this could not be done that they operate on too tight a margin - after telling me to keep the incorrect net as it would cost them too much to collect I find this story just doesn't add up. James said "I wish I could just wave a magic wand and get you your net" how about just demonstrating good customer service and not making me be the one to lose out by sending me a cheaper net that the one I paid for and then making me wait for an item I was told was in stock and would be sent - I had no updates from Arkpets it was me who had to contact them to find out what was going on! Disgraceful & I will never shop with you again - anyone can have great prices advertised but if you haven't got the stock to fulfil the order then that means zilch!!!!
The products arrived in double quick time. Good packaging and perfect condition. Would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Thanks
I have been purchasing from Ark Pets for a number of years and have always received a first class service. Communication is good and delivery prompt. Keep up the good work.
All the 3 items I ordered were shown as 'in stock' and I received them 2 days later. The packaging has improved as well. This is the 4th time i have ordered from them and before their boxes were a bit tatty (re-used old boxes). So far I have not had any problems.
I ordered my items on the 28th April and they arrived today- 3 months later. I tried to contact the company but they were unresponsive and I had lost all hope, but then I received an email saying the items have been dispatched. My advice is to look elsewhere as this company is unreliable and quite frankly useless.
I have purchased items for my pond and fish food from this supplier every year since 2012 and have always received a good service. My latest order (June 2016) was placed on Sunday and arrived on the following Tuesday. I received a prompt acknowledgement of my order and regular information on the delivery status. The goods were competitively priced and arrived well packaged. I also benefited from their loyalty scheme to receive further discounts. I can't fault the service I have received.
ordered - not received goods, not able to get through on phone and they do not reply to my emails. in process of getting money back from my card company - also cannot log in to the account i created when I ordered
Ordered fish food 10 am had 3 instant emails, received email from uk mail with consignment number, next day delivery email from uk mail with 1645-1745 delivery slot parcel arrived 16.37. First class service both from supplier to uk mail
I have ordered quite a few things from Ark always great service and product's, even when I got the order wrong rang them and problem was sorted swiftly and easily.
Ordered item supposedly in stock, waited 2 days to be told out of stock. No apologies, just received email to refund. Whether I get it or not, we'll see. This site doesn't hold stock obviously. Check THEIR reviews on the site and tell me they sound real ? Won't deal arkpetsonline.co.uk again
Company sell products which are out of stock. Don't answer calls and can provide very rude emails. They breach the Consumer Rights Act of 2015. The Customer Rights Act 2015 states that goods must be provided within 30 days of the point of contract (not the day they take payment). Refunds have to be within your account within 14 days. As I quoted these facts to Jo Hammond in my emails, I did get my refund to comply with the law. Any issues can be resolved by contacting the Citizen's Advice Helpline on 03454 04 05 06.
We bought an M90 fluval full package from them 3 months ago, within this time the light (now discontinued), the re-circirculation pump (also discontinued) and the skimmer have broken. Took them into shop after days of trying to get hold of someone as no one ever answers the phone. Was not offered a replacement as the parts were discontinued even though we have a warranty for 2 years! Instead they insisted on testing the products... a month later they are apparently still waiting for a transformer to test??? I've had to buy a whole new set up just to keep my tank going and when taking this up with the manager of a so called fish shop he told me that marine fish and corals should be fine with without these for a month. Obviously these people have not got a damn clue and are just trying to make a quick penny off discount discontinued items. Keep well away from this company... I'm still waiting for a resolution but don't hold out any hope! I've never known anything like it!!! Even fluval were appalled to hear how we had been treated and are now getting involved.
Products were advertised as in stock. Four days after taking payment recieved email saying they were discontinued. Still waiting for money to be paid back into my account. Tried to call repeatedly but never answer the phone. Email sent from Jo Hammond saying accounts are dealing with order. Still waiting for my refund.
Ordered two products from this company, wish I had checked online reviews beforehand. One product was correct, the other was not. Tried phoning - line busy or they don't answer and emailing but no response. Not acceptable for an online company!
placed order online 5 weeks ago after 2 weeks phoned them as I hadn't received my order they said it was out of stock but would be in and out to me within 7 days still no luck so asked for a refund they agreed but still not received refund and they are not answering the phone anymore worst experience ever lucky I paid with PayPal so should get my money back through them
Ordered online, took them a week to tell me items weren't in stock, cancelled order, took over 2 weeks for them to START processing order!!

Oct 02,2016Order had been showing as "Pending" on my account for over a week with no reason given.I tried to contact by phone on various occasions always unavailable ..even left messages to ring me back then tried e-mail no response.Then posted negative review on Trust Pilot.Next day I received e-mail telling me that one item was out of stock and would I like that refunded and the other sent out...which I accepted.This item arrived the next day.Would have given 5 stars had I been kept informed.They need to be easier to contact.
