Feb 06,2025Absolutely a scam of a company. I feel as if I’ve been raped. I was approved for a loan. I was told to send in all these private documents which I did, including tax returns with my children’s social security numbers! They have my bank statements, my identification and check stubs from my employer. This has been a more invasive process than buying a house! Each day they asked for more information! Finally after it was all submitted they sent me a letter in my email that they couldn’t do a loan! Are you kidding me? I have the money and assets to back it up. I feel like these people look for those they know they can manipulate and defraud of their money! Now I feel vulnerable with all the personal information they have about me, my business and my bank! I am sickened by this to the point I got physically ill and vomited. I am going to contact the Federal Trade Commission and the FBI cyber crimes until to put an alert on all my financial assets and records as those I spoke to didn’t know any English and I’m worried now about my credit being compromised! Shameful that WebBank would associate with this company AVANT! Crooks! Absolute crooks! I was even given a customer number and what my payment would be! Clearly misleading and deceptive. I have owned my own company for 30 years probably longer than AVANT has been around! I feel personally attacked and offended by their tactics!

Feb 05,2025I signed up and was approved on January 9, 2025. It is now February 5, 2025 and still have no card. I have called twice, once to inquire and once to tell them they never sent a card so the second lady - Belinda - deemed it as lost and issued another card. Both times, three days after I call I get an invite to apply which is a plastic phony card mailer and not the actual card. I have a card holders agreement in my email and I have a $75/annual fee I can't pay because I can't log in and activate the card I've never gotten. This is getting ridiculous. Update February 7,2025 Still no card. Still no sign of it in the system for USPS but USPS is really good about sending notice of the faux invitation cards I've been billed for $75 and it's due March 1st. I don't know anything but the last four digits of the card because thankfully I was able to at least access the statement Y'all it's only a $300 credit line but it helps my credit score in that it's an additional emergency line of credit. I'm in Hurricane Helene Disaster Zone and I've been needing a little extra wiggle room for repairs that my current insurance refused to cover. (60 foot pine that fell on my house!) Update February 8, 2025 - It's finally here. No transactions but still a annual fee due March 1st.

Feb 05,2025**Review of Avant: A Disappointing Experience** I recently had a troubling experience with Avant that, while ultimately resolved in terms of receiving my funds back, left me feeling profoundly dissatisfied with their customer service. From the outset, I encountered a lack of empathy and patience from both the phone representatives and their supervisors. The handling of my fraud claim was particularly concerning; it was not entered into the system in a timely manner, leading to an extension of the resolution period from the expected 120 days to a frustrating 150 days. It was only through my proactive follow-ups that I learned of the delays. Once my fraud claim was finally addressed, I faced yet another hurdle. I had over $2,000 in funds that needed to be returned to my checking account. I was informed that this process would take an additional 2-3 weeks unless I expedited it by submitting bank statements, which I was assured they already possessed as part of the initial claim. Despite reviewing my automatic payments with multiple representatives, I was repeatedly redirected to the resolution department without a clear solution. When I requested a direct contact number for the resolution department, I was told that all communication had to be conducted via email, which only compounded my frustration. My attempts to escalate the issue to a supervisor yielded little improvement, as she merely reiterated the same information without offering any real assistance. Overall, my experience with Avant has been disappointing. While I appreciate that I eventually received my money back, the lengthy delays, lack of communication, and insufficient support throughout the process left much to be desired. I hope they can improve their customer service in the future, as the current level of support is not reflective of what customers deserve.

Feb 03,2025I was told that the card would arrive in 7 to 10 business days via the email. It did not arrive in that time frame. A few days after the end of that time frame, I locked the card because I was afraid it may have gotten into the wrong hands. I called today to find out what happened and was told that it's actual 10 to 15 business days and because I locked it they never sent it. It was locked two days before the end of 15 business days, so that means it still would not have gotten to me in the time allotted. There needs to be better information so that people don't expect something incorrectly. I now have to wait another 10 to 15 days.
