Jan 15,2025I’m fairly certain the good reviews are not from real people. This is a joke. I cancelled a small amount credit card I had with them in October of 2024 with a ZERO balance. Zero. As in, I owed nothing and had charged NOTHING to that card in well over a year from the date I cancelled it. Welp, just happened to get an email for ‘review your Avant account’ just this month (weird right?) and it said I owed them $10. Huh. Even better, they had reported to the credit bureaus, so now my credit dropped 25 points. Nice. So I called them yesterday to find out why. The woman couldn’t really explain it and kept going in circles, so I hung up. Called back today to pay the balance owed and confirm this was ALL I WOULD OWE. Yeah, after 5 minutes on hold, she comes back on and says payments need to be made consecutively for THREE MONTHS to end the card. Um, WHAT?!?! I can cancelled the thing in October, paid the ENTIRE AMOUNT DUE today and might have to pay more? For a card I hardly ever used in the first place?!?! Fraud and scammy. So reported to the BBB, and wouldn’t you know, similar complaints from other folks there too. DO NOT use this crappy company. Please. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY!!

Jan 11,2025Horrible predatory credit card company gave t used their card in 2 years and was just paying it off.. they noticed and decided to cancel my payment I made in November without notifying me so they could charge me late fees.. I didn’t even know they canceled it till I went to pay my December bill.. I called them and they tried to claim I canceled my payment NO TF I DID NOT .. they claimed they refunded my late fees from November so I made my December payment and made it clear that it was DECEMBERS payment and not Nov and do not apply to Nov cuz the credit back of my late fees should have covered my 25.00 Nov payment .. welp went on line to pay my January payment and now it says I owe 85.00 for this month Nov and apparently the late fees should they never credited back in the first place.. so I just canceled my account.. that way they can’t charge me any fees anymore and I’ll just pay it if my next pay check.. tried to do it the right way but as soon as they saw I wasn’t using it they started trying to sneakily do things to cause me fees and of course no notifications of anything.. making it easy for them to do so.. DISGUSTING company.. don’t get credit cards folks .. find other ways of getting your score up cuz these companies are predatory!!

Jan 15,2025To whom it may concern I like the card the amount was small which is okay but I don't like the annual fees of 70 something dollar fee and then again I'm going to charge me $100 fee that is too much fees I don't like fees but overall the card is okay the amount is small I wish I could have started with at least 500 but we're building trust and I'm going to do all I can to make sure that my trust stays with you all
