Had a cyber monday promo code fail. Decided to order anyways and wrote them immediately because I assumed Bloomscape would refund the difference. Nope. Terrible customer service policies. They refused to offer a partial refund, and now I can't return the plants. Left feeling robbed. The 2.5 Stars overall tells the whole story about Bloomscape. Really shady on their part. Hard to trust individual reviews, but you should trust the aggregate score. Go to your local plant store which is still somehow cheaper. Edit: After the comment left by Bloomscape below, I followed back up as suggested. Bloomscape again refused any sort of refund or credit to rectify the situation. They restated their offer for a discount on my next purchase, which is not helpful when you will no longer be patronizing the business. Edit 2: One of the plants arrived rotting and wilted. I contacted Bloomscape the day of arrival to receive the 30 day guarantee. Well that guarantee is not the traditional guarantee you would expect. They want to send me another plant or give me store credit. They will not give me a refund. Obviously, I do not want to risk introducing another potentially diseased plant to my other plants. Bloomscape, please make any of your policies make sense, or just give me money back so we can part ways forever.

I received a plant from this company and it was clean and arrived in tack. So I decided to order two friends one. I ordered two plants for friends for Christmas. Thank goodness they were delivered to my house first. They arrived very dirt and one of the plant blooms was turning brown and dying. I reached out to the company and they offered 20 percent off my next order. Which is really nice and also sad. All this means to me is I have to spend more money to get a plant that may or may not be clean. Oh but wait I get 20% off! Ummm.. I think I will go with a company that will deliver a product that looks like it did in the picture, clean and healthy!

Received one plant that was severely damaged in shipping, obviously made most of the journey upside down due to terrible packaging / labeling that you had to look very hard to read "this side up". Why would they not print it in BRIGHT & BOLD lettering/colors, I do not understand. I received a refund in form of store credit for the plant as it was significantly damaged. I purchased a new plant which was delivered having been hacked down for sake of sale/shipping but not for the health of the plant. Since receiving the plant, and helping it thrive for a few months, the plant could not withstand the hack at the core of the tree and it has all died. I have emailed Bloomscape three times about this issue and not received response. DO NOT BUY PLANTS FROM THIS RETAILER. They are overpriced and not worth the risk IMO - I've purchased many plants over the years and will go back to buying in person, locally.

I do know if there is a glitch in their system or if the are intentionally scamming customers, but I had one plant on my cart with a total for $51.97 after a coupon. I used GPay to checkout. After I checked out it showed a total of $153 & included a plant I never selected & do not like or want. No number to contact customer service. ***Update***Bloomscape emailed me the following day and immediately processed a cancelation and refund. They also asked several follow up questions to try to figure out what went wrong to fix the issue. I did not reorder with Bloomscape due to placing an order with another company, but I was impressed with their quick response & resolution.

I chose a money plant to send to friends who experienced a death in the family recently. Not only did it not show up on time, it also showed up in pieces. The entire plant was out of the pot and all of the branches were broken off. I was skeptical of using a shipping company for live plants, but I live across the country from these friends so I decided to give it a try. I will never be using this company again and will actively recommend to others not to use this either. I don't give bad reviews, but this one I took the time out for because it deserved it.

I will never buy anything from this place. They can't tell you when your plants will arrive. They don't deliver right away, yo have to wait more than 5 days. There is no phone number that you can talk to someone. I could not follow my purchase, I suppose to get an email with tracking information, never received. I hated to deal with this company. Worse place

Hello, I wanted to share my experience with Bloomscape. During COVID lockdown I decide to give my home office a makeover, and loved that Bloomscape had a section for pet-friendly plants, as I share my home office with a cat. I purchased an XL Palm plant, catnip, and three small pet-friendly plants. All are in my office, and all have received little care from me (In fact we've traveled for 2 weeks at a time and I'm not sure they received any water during those times). They've all survived and thrived. I've repotted two of them, and really need to repot two more, but...eh, I'm busy. Anyway, I'm thrilled with how they have survived and thrived with little care.

Unfortunately, my experience echoes a lot of the negative reviews on here. I ordered a plant in July and it arrived slightly damaged or so I thought. What really was going on was that the plant was infected with pests and slowly began to die. I contacted the company and it took a while for them to get back to me. Finally, they said they would ship me a replacement plant and when I didn’t hear anything back or have a package arrive after several weeks, I reached back out again and was told that the supplier was not supplying quality plants, and that I would not be able to receive a replacement plant. No attempt was made to proactively get in touch with me. I had to just wait until the plant hadn’t arrived . I was then told I could choose another pet friendly plant and they offer me a slight discount even though the rest of the plants are much more expensive. I then chose one and was told it couldn’t be delivered to me here in California. At this point, I was really frustrated and just decided to get a refund. We’ll see if that happens. I also ordered a wooden Plant stand to go with the diseased plant that I was shipped and I am not sure if they will except a return on that at this point. The person I dealt with in customer service was quite friendly, but it seems like she was hamstrung by a lot of internal policies in helping to get this resolved for me. I would not advise buying from this company. UPDATE: I did get a refund for both the plan and the stand. I also see that Bloomscape responded on here with an apology but, given the high number of negative reviews, they would probably be best served by devoting less time to apologies and more time to fixing some of their internal processes and policies.

I ordered a prickly pear cactus and it arrived in the box damaged and broken and the dirt was spilled everywhere at the bottom of the box as well. I sent several emails with pictures attached as well as a customer feedback form and yet no one has responded on any level to resolve this. This is poor customer service there should be prompt responses and prompt resolutions for customers who pay high prices for these plants. At this time I would not recommend spending your money with a company that has no phone number to reach them and does not reply when a customer reports an issue.

I received a big Fiddle Leaf fig tree from Bloomscape recently, and it quickly started to drop leaves and begin to die. I reached out to the Bloomscape customer service, and they not only gave me very thorough instructions on how to revive my plant, they gave me a coupon code to make up for the cost. Their reply went above and beyond in every way, and I can't wait to order some new plants soon!

I am very grateful for my experience. The customer service goes above and beyond. I had a plant go downhill fast outside of the timeframe and not only did they give me detailed steps to possibly revive, they offered to replace it. Very grateful

I’ve ordered a few plants from Bloomscape and they’ve always arrived happy and healthy. My most recent purchase was a White Knight Philodendron…a very rare (and pricey) plant that I just had to have! I recently noticed it wasn’t doing too well so I contacted their customer support with details and photos. Emma H. got back to me the very next day with a likely diagnosis and how to (hopefully) save the plant. Even though I was well beyond the 30 day guarantee, she also gave me store credit for the price of the plant since the white knight was no longer in stock. I didn’t even ask for or expect any kind of refund! They went above and beyond my expectations and I will order my plants exclusively from Bloomscape from now on!!

I'm done. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. I ordered three plants using a coupon they gave me after not being able to fulfill an order earlier this year. My package arrived today and it's missing the plant I was most excited to get. There's no packing slip so I have no way of knowing if they forgot to put it in the box or what. I've emailed customer service and I'm fully expecting to get a similar song and dance I got earlier this year.

I thought the plant I received was healthy until it slowly started dying. When it started looking sickly, I decided to look at a photo of the plant I took the day it arrived and I'm now noticing that one segment of the plant was completely covered in mites. Now I'm realizing that the mites slowly took over the entire plant and I didn't realize it until it was too late. It's been a year now and I just threw my plant out. I'm so upset I spent so much money on a plant. I have purchased healthier plants at IKEA and Costco for 80% less. Don't waste your money!

I ordered a monstera deliciosa. The plant was beautiful. I started noticing damage on the leaves. The plant was infested with thrips. I emailed twice about noticing damage; however, since I didn’t know about thrips at the time, I thought it may have arrived damaged. I emailed twice and got no response. I had no other plants in the room with this one thank God. Horrible customer service.

I have been buying plants from here over and over. Most of the times they come in great condition and other times they are easily replaced so I can't complain. It is on the pricier side so I will recommend checking out competitor's prices. But if you have the money then this is a safe bet!

Inspect your plant for pests! I received a bromeliad from bloomscape and the plant itself was beautiful. The plant was large, in great condition, and had a pup already growing. When I first opened the package, I was suspicious of spider mites and kept the plant separate from my others. Today I separated the pup and on close inspection, the plant is infested with spider mites, scale, and another pest I have yet to identify! Thankfully, I kept it far away from my other plants or I would have a huge pest problem!

I purchased an EL Ponytail Palm as a housewarming gift for my son. The picture of the XL plant was very impressive. However the plant he received was much smaller than expected. I was unable to speak directly with a person. Through several texts they determined my plant was a perfectly appropriate size. The plant was $150 with 30% off plus tax shipping and handling. I won't be buying anything from this company again. Should have stuck with a local business. Lesson learned.

I do not understand all of the bad reviews. If you do not like their return policy, then don't buy their product. I have had nothing but good experiences with Bloomscape. Even when things go wrong, which they will when you ship things that are living, they bend over backwards to fix it. No. They are not Amazon. But thank God for that. Keep doing what you are doing, Bloomscape. Your customers see your value, and we know that what you are doing is hard. If you are ever lucky enough to have Kit C. help you out, count your lucky star. That person should manage every customer service department in existence. Amazing.
