I have asthma and hayfever and I wanted a mask that would help me during hayfever season as well as being effective as a mask to help prevent me being exposed to Covid. I bought the Pro mask as I wanted a valve to prevent me feeling too hot while wearing the mask and it comes with a headstrap, which I thought I would be using as I have small ears and I'd read that the ear straps are quite thick. The mask arrived quickly. It took a little fiddling around with it to adjust it to fit my face and to get it comfortable. The Pro mask comes with a headstrap, a fitted valve and a foam strip that I think is for the nose. The nose strip made the mask fit badly on my face, but we all have different faces and different shaped noses, so it may be necessary to use for another person. There is a nose wire sewn into the bridge of the mask but I don't find it helps give a good enough seal for me. I have a pack of disposable stick on aluminium nose strips for masks and I use one on the inside of the mask and it helps seal it perfectly. There are adjustable toggles on either side of the mask, to help fit it to your face. I use the headstrap every time because the ear straps are just a little too thick to be comfortable. Once the mask is on, it is comfortable to wear. I've walked for an hour on a warm day, with my glasses on, and it has been really easy to walk quickly. I didn't feel I was having any difficulty breathing in as the mask doesn't feel thick. I bought a navy colour and I might choose a lighter colour when this wears out. I wish the very pretty patterns were sometimes discounted but I can understand why they aren't and that's because they're so lovely. That's the only thing I'm sad about. Other than that, I think it's a good mask. Wearing it with the head strap means there's no pressure on my ears and it fits really well.
Very comfortable and reliable mask. I appreciate the ability to use or close off the vent.
I ordered a number of masks, and was surprised to find myself paying an extra 80GBP(!!) for shipping!! (it was a large order, including masks for 4 families). I did one big order in the hope of splitting the 35GBP between the families to make it more affordable, but was horrified to find the postage kept going up and up as I added masks for each family. All other mask sites I have ordered from such as Airinium (with similarly excellent masks) have at least had free shipping over a certain amount, or otherwise free international shipping altogether. The masks have only just been posted after many weeks waiting, so I can't comment on the masks themselves however my partner owns one and finds it good, and extensive research and product inquiries and reading the specs online show they are very good masks, and will provide very high protection against Covid virus. I am still glad I ordered, but I won't be able to afford those shipping costs, so I will take my business elsewhere in the future unless they start offering free shipping over a certain amount. I have ordered numerous items from the UK in the last few years, and have never paid more than 15GBP and that was for very heavy duffle coats, so I honestly can't see how they can justify charging that much.
Managed to get the masks to Vietnam for a friend. Very good follow-up from the team to ensure the masks navigated through customs and definitely got to the recipient.
Great Masks. Good Quality, quick shipping and excellent customer service. They've become our go-to for masks not just due to the pandemic but to help counter our local dust and forest fire produced issues
Very comfortable, protective and beautifully designed products and excellent customer service to back them up!
Always a good service. I’ve purchased several times and although there was a hiccup with my last order, it was swiftly resolved. Brilliant items and good to do business with.
summary: I bought a Cambridge mask in December, and had pretty mixed feelings on the fit. I bought another in February, and it seems much better. Pros: I have a very defined nose bridge (or however you'd describe the opposite of a flat nose), and I've found that most masks with wires over the nose bridge aren't strong/flexible enough to hold a shape that makes any sort of seal. These masks have a long, strong wire over the nose bridge, so they've actually been able to hold their shape, which is amazing. Cons: However, the bottom half of the first mask fit really strangely - for how much coverage/structure there was on the top, it felt like the bottom didn't go very far back under my chin. It's very possible that I was wearing it too high up on my face to keep that snug fit on my nose, because: The ear straps are really weird. They're big, and you can't adjust them without making the chin part smaller. Maybe the bigger issue is that the elastic is strong and surrounded by that thick material, and it's stronger than my ears. The whole time I'm wearing the mask it's folding the tops of my ears in half, which gets painful after a while. I got the strap for the back of the head, but it doesn't fit like it does in the pictures - heads are round, and it just slips down to the base of my skull/top of neck, which is kind of okay but means it's not helping to tighten the seal around the jaw. HOWEVER: I bought another mask in February, as the advice was going around that masks should be N95/KN95, since these meet those standards but are reusable. It seems like the fit has changed for the better. It stays on my face and fits both my nose & chin without feeling like I have to use the strap, and something about the ear bands has changed enough that it doesn't seem to fold them over. I don't know if they've improved upon the fit or they're just inconsistent and I got lucky, but since it's the new "season" of masks I would assume the former. Based on my first mask I probably would have given 3 stars, and on the new one I'd probably give 5, so I'm averaging out to 4.
I have bought about 50 of these masks as a healthcare worker. They are comfortable , very well made and I wear them for 12 hours at a time with not so much as a mark on my face. I’ve managed to avoid Covid for the last two years and I’m sure it’s wholly due to the high quality of these fantastic masks. I have recommended these to friends, colleagues, family and patients.
Love the masks . Fantastic but I live in eu and would be great if vat could be paid when ordering . Some other companies do this and would be easier and aimpler
Website and ordering process is easy to use. Delivery was faster than anticipated. The product itself is great, especially if you have a preference for cloth masks (like me).
One month after making the order still waiting to receive it. Quite a hefty shipping cost for a small parcel of 4 masks being sent by very slow post parcel. Giving discounts is one thing but then getting charged a premium for such a poor shipping service is just ripping the customer off
Excellent product. If I were to offer a negative criticism it would be to suggest the mask may be a little uncomfortable in warmer weather.
Absolutely outstanding masks and service.
I have relied on Cambridge masks since the beginning of covid. I'm glad that masks without valve are now available too.
Ms. Lung Disease here; susceptible to anything and everything and certain things in particular. Cambridge is the only mask that I have trusted long term (pre-covid and beyond covid).
PRO masks L and Non-valved mask L were not the same size. There was about a 8-9mm difference at all around the edge. Disappointed
It broke within a few days of my son wearing it. Don’t recommend.
Fast efficient Nr service. Product does what it says on the Tin
Disappointed
Mar 18,2022While I feel very secure in this mask, Cambridge needs to improve its selections and inventory. Their color choices for anyone below the XL size are so limited.
