Nov 08,2018I came to carhop after having filed bankruptcy. I needed a reliable, affordable car, that would get me and my kids around and help to improve my credit score fairly quickly. After listening to what type of vehicle and price range I was looking for, I was shown a mix of sedans and small SUVs, mostly early 2000's makes and models. Nothing really jumped out at me. I asked my sales person, John, if there were any other options for me if I decided to put money down (the first vehicles shown were all with no money down). He showed me a 2012 Kia Soul that was in perfect condition, clean, and ran smooth. Once I agreed on this car the paperwork was quick and easy and I was out the door in my new car with only $200 down payment. I realize Carhop has high interest rates, the payments for the vehicle are higher than I would like - but its what i have to do in get my credit score back right and have a reliable car. The customer service was nice, and variety of cars shown was decent.

Nov 08,2018I pay $426 dollars a month for a car that is not worth $1000. I was told that my credit was so bad I couldn't get financing any where else. I was not given a choice of vehicle, it was not cleaned, (Paid 600 dollars to clean the interior) I can't trade it in due to the cigarette burns and smell. I am now facing Transmission costs. I have been comparing with other dealerships in the area and I can get into a 2018 SUV (preference) for less than 400 hundred dollars a month. Total cost of loan is over $11,000.00. I am trying to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else I changed jobs it took them three months to correct my paydates.

Nov 07,2018While their advertising makes it seem like the work with people who have less than perfect situations they really don’t. They put the shiny new cars upfront but then present you with old fossils after the “office” tells them what you qualify for.
