Once assigned a broker, Leigh stayed online with me and answered all my questions. We got my shipment cleared even before the plan landed. Will definitely request Leigh again for the next shipment.

Oct 15,2019I dropped the ball on my end and didn't have a customs brokerage lined up to clear my imports. The warehouse holding my stuff was $118 a day for "storage" and I needed my stuff cleared fast. I initially grabbed paperwork from the warehouse and was going to head directly to the customs office in Chicago to petition for clearance. When I came to my senses and realized that I'd blow a full day and likely get the runaround, I did a search and found ClearIt USA. Having dealt with stuff like this in the past, my experience has been that most of these outfits are completely unequipped or uninterested in touching anything the same day. What I mean by this, is that it's like buying insurance in 1989. It's a long drawn out process over many days Time is money, so I chatted with the team at ClearIt and they assured me that they dig in the same day, and that if proper documentation, etc. is provided, they will typically have clearance within a few hours. Literally having not much of a choice, I sat down in a Starbucks, took photos of all my documentation, PGA certs, etc, airdropped to my Mac and uploaded them. Entered credit card, signed the POA and thought, this is way too easy to be true. They did come back quickly requesting some additional information, which I provided via another quick upload. Low and behold, within several hours I had clearance documentation in my hand! I exclusively used the brokerage clearance and can't recommend it enough. As fate would have it, I read a few not so positive reviews about the transport logistics, so decided I would try to line this up myself. Needless to say, I ended up having to rent a truck to pick the stuff up myself because I tried a similar online service and they did come back wanting full credit check, net 30 etc, and wouldn't bother with just a transaction. Next time I will give these guys a shot. Long story short, I highly recommend giving the team at ClearIt. They run a business much like ours...no particular "owner"...but EVERYONE owns it. No waiting or the runaround, just people that roll up their sleeves and help! and no...I wasn't even asked for a review, let alone incented for taking the time to leave feedback. Class act outfit!

Oct 06,2019They were great about getting my through the paperwork labyrinth and got my shipment cleared in a day -- they would have gotten 5 stars but they said they could arrange transportation to my house [I'm an individual, was importing a piece of art I'd purchased in Europe], which after two weeks finally arrived... AFTER I had them give me the number for the trucking company and got them to actually schedule the delivery. There was no need for that delay -- but their primary service was excellent... and I guess I should have looked elsewhere for the delivery bit, but I took them at their word they could do the job.
