Jul 04,2020I had an awesome time with cocky guides, meeting people, sampling and buying home made cupcakes etc from the kiama markets, lunch at my fave pie shop, and of course seeing the famous blowhole! As i/ve come to love and expect, trip leader buck was his usual friendly, helpful and organised self ... all qualities very much appreciated in a trip leader dealing with people who might need additional assistance. Buck always goes above and beyond, nothing ever seems too much trouble, and i value him also as a friend.

Mar 01,2020Fraser Island was a beautiful trip that I am glad I was able to experience. I went to help assist my brother Jack who also had a ball of a time. Buck the Tour Guide was very friendly and accommodating to all of us on the trip. Would recommend to anyone as there is a variety of things to do!

Feb 20,2020I have just returned from an excellent time in Byron Bay with Cocky Guides. Buck and Kellie were fun and supportive and never patronising. Buck's knowledge of the places we visited was amazing and made our visit even more enriching. We were given a lot of freedom on the trip to do the activities that we wanted. To top it all off, I made some great friends that I hope to stay in touch with. I definitely recommend that new travellers give Cocky Guides a go. Thank you Buck and Kellie!

The tour guides Kelly and Buck were amazing and always kept us entertained and I’m looking forward to the next holiday with them.

Feb 16,2020My holiday at Byron Bay with Cocky Guides was one of the best I have ever had. Buck, ably assisted by Kelly, enabled us to have some interesting and unforgettable experiences. They were supportive, attentive and always mindful of travellers’ abilities without being smothering or patronising. Buck was also very knowledgeable with information and stories everywhere we went. I am looking forward to some Melbourne day trips and hope to go on another holiday in the not too distant future.

Feb 12,2020Fantastic tour with two amazing, kind and helpful guides. Action packed and adventure driven holiday on the Gold Coast. Just enough activities for the blind and visually impaired traveller. Was sad to say goodbye at the end of the tour. Safe to say, found some friends for life.

Dec 09,2019It was a fun weekend. It was good to let our hair down, and to make some new friends. What would have made the experience even better, is if the ratio of guides to travellers was higher. Two sighted guides for eleven vision impaired travellers just isn’t enough. Hopefully this will improve in the future.

Dec 07,2019Went on a Yarra Valley Winery tour recently with Buck from CockyGuides. As a totally blind person Cockyguides is outstanding and Buck is a fantastic organizer. Will certainly be going on more tours and would highly recommend CockyGuides to my friends.

Nov 04,2019I rarely give 5 stars as I believe all companies can improve. So please don’t see it as anything but room to grow! Travel: the bus was in great order and Buck drives really well. This is a big deal for me as I have had some bad experiences on bus trips before. Accommodation: our cabins were very modern and well fitted out offering private bedrooms with shared living space for two travellers. The only downside was the location, there was nowhere you could travel independently from the park. Being located close to somewhere (beach or town) is important to me. I don’t like feel isolated. Tour: The overall concept and destinations were great, just a few refinements needed. This was the first trip to this region so it is only logical that adjustments will be necessary. Markets are challenging due to their noise and crowds and complexity. For future reference choosing 1 - 3 stalls and wording stall keepers up works well then allowing free time to wander works well. Allocating some extra support in these environments is necessary. The Linden winery was wonderful -such amazing customer service. Hahndorf too was exceptional. Particular the wonderful walking tour guide! Buck is an engaging and knowledgeable tour guide and I look forward to trying other tours soon.

Oct 22,2019I injoyed a grate day on friday with Buck as anexelent commentator and guide around the Southern highlands. Visiting the Bradman museum, playng a game of blind cricket and many other interesting and fun things along the way. Thank you Buck. I’ll see you on another tour. ☺️👍

Oct 12,2019Great day visiting private gardens prior to the annual garden festival. We visited four completely diverse gardens and we were introduced to all the owners, who showed us around. Buck was great at getting us where we needed to be and his knowledge of the Blue Mountains was a great bonus. I would really like to try one of the sensory tours that Buck specialises in at some stage. I look forward to another day out!
