Mar 03,2023We had a great experience with CRG installing our solar panels and battery. Pre-install I had quite a few questions and they were always answered quickly and in an easy to understand way. During the installation the team discovered that it wasn’t going to be as straightforward as they initially thought due to the strange layout of our house and the location of the electrical fuse box etc but they did a great job of working out a route for the cabling that caused the least disruption. Since the install I’ve had another couple of questions about configuring the system and again, I got a quick and helpful response.

Feb 27,2023So glad that I found CRG. From my initial meeting with Frank through to quote and installation I have been very happy. The solar PV system was installed end of August last year and I benefitted from the team being able to fit one panel more than we originally thought possible. Initially I did have to wait for an iBoost but that was dependent on the international supply chain; now installed that really does give me the extra benefit of heating the hot water when an excess of solar is being generated. One thing I have now done is have CRG supply and install an extra battery. Wish I had done this with the original order as even in February, on a very sunny day, I am able to run my house on battery power from sundown to sun-up with very little coming from the grid during the day. Looking forward to seeing the full benefit when the lighter days appear. Highly recommend the team at CRG.

Feb 18,2023I have recently had CRG complete a solar installation on my property. From the start of the process they have provided an excellent service. David came over to do the quote, he was friendly, polite and professional with no 'hard' sell involved. Ash, their technical surveyor, was very informative and helpful and was able to make the best evaluation of the property and system, so as to customise it precisely to my requirements. The install was done within a day by a very friendly, polite and professional crew and was up and running by the end of the day. Their pre/post sales customer support has been outstanding as well. All in all an excellent experience from start to finish !!

Feb 10,2023From the initial survey till completion of the installation I have been most impressed. There was no hard sell, everything was explained clearly. Once I had accepted the lead date was just a matter of weeks. The actual installation was completed very efficiently. The backup support is second to none. l can't recommend Frank, Melissa and the team more highly for the whole experience.

Feb 08,2023CRG really couldn't have done anything better! We switched to them after we had been disillusioned by the Hampshire Solar initiative and the difference was a revelation. From the start we were impressed by the way in which CRG responded almost instantly to questions and took time to draw attention to aspects of solar electricity/storage/tariffs that we could easily have overlooked. We were equally impressed by the CRG team when they arrived for scaffolding and installation. The whole team were friendly, careful and respectful. We really appreciated the fact that they were willing to listen to any concerns that we raised and adapt their approach to overcome them. The installation was fully completed in one day and without any inconvenience. The quality of the work was superb with the Inverter and Battery neatly installed in our garage with all cable runs from the roof neatly located out of sight. By 17:00 we were collecting solar electricity and the following day, thanks to the winter sunshine, our electricity consumption dropped by over 25% compared to previous similar days. It has been a pleasure throughout dealing with CRG Direct and we don't hesitate to highly recommend them.

The details were fully explained and they responded to our questions very quickly and provided high quality answers. A plan was agreed and delivered to time with everything being excellently co-ordinated. The install went smoothly and quickly and everything was up and running on the day. From an aftersales perspective they were great too...once again being responsive and very helpful. Highly recommended

Jan 24,2023Frank came out to measure and quote for solar panels. He was professionally and quick with his quote. We did not feel rushed or pressured into purchasing at all. Timescales were accurate and their communication was speedy and sincere. Installation was brilliant. You could tell the installers knew exactly what they were doing. Warning- The app to see your solar usage and generation is addictive!

It took a long time to sift though the cowboys that have entered this field now, and I knew from my first conversation with Frank that he was the man to deal with. The install team were brilliant, a good bunch of lads who were more than happy to help accommodate my OCD needs for the roof layout to be symmetrical. Both Frank and Melissa were extremally helpful, and guided my wife and I through the minefield which is Solar. I will always try and support local smaller firms over big flashy national names, and once again this has proven to be 100% correct. I can’t recommend them enough.

Jan 20,2023Very pleased I found these guys. There are so many middlemen out there, referring customers onto dodgy installers selling cheap kit. These guys are genuine, did a clean and quick job and were reasonably priced. They were happy to come to me (surry/ west sussex border).

Jan 02,2023Everything was done the way all companies should do it. I’m so glad I found CRG after having months wasted by another company. The process began with a friendly, non-pushy visit from a salesman who was able to advise us what was most suitable for our circumstances and to negotiate a favourable price. It was clear from this moment and over the few days we took to deliberate and obtain a second quote, that this was a trustworthy company. A technical survey was carried out and an installation date within only 6 weeks was agreed. Scaffolding was erected and all the components were delivered, ahead of the agreed date. A crew of 4 fitters turned up on time and installed the whole system amazingly quickly with minimal disruption. Despite the atrocious weather conditions they remained cheerful and friendly throughout. A few minor installation problems were promptly rectified two days later and the scaffolding and rubbish were all taken away. We were kept informed throughout the entire process. There was always somebody willing and able to answer phone enquiries and respond to emails…. Just how it should be and just what customers are entitled to expect. Other companies should take note. Our system worked perfectly from the moment it was commissioned. I was quickly supplied with our MCS certificate and now just await our DNO approval in order to start exporting. Meanwhile, even in the current dull winter weather conditions, we are happily enjoying reduced bills from our panels and batteries. Well done and thank you to all the staff at CRG. You are a credit to the industry.

Nov 03,2022Solar Installation by CRG Direct We have just had solar panels installed on our roof. We chose CRG because their approach was businesslike and efficient. The sales pitch was detailed and proved to be entirely without bull. The equipment arrived on time. The scaffolding arrived on schedule and the fitters arrived exactlly as expected. The four man team had the job (12 panels, 10kw battery and inverter) done in less than a day, as promised. On time, on budget and working well. I'd be surprised if you could find better.

I found his experience shone through when I needed help in understanding the process. The scaffolders did a great job and took care to protect a flat roof. The installation was quick and efficient. Frank was available for any issues but there were none. Many thanks for a great installation.

Oct 23,2022We found CRG Direct through the Martin Lweis website via an intermediary company who made the initial appointment. We chose CRG Direct because of the following points: They were on time and their initial assessment consultation was concise, they listened to our needs, options were well explained and there was no "hard sell". Frank's use of Leymans terms was appreciated. A point to note: List your requirements and needs for your home and they will give accurate options for you to consider, have your usage available to discuss as this is used to help calculate the needs of the system required. Communication be it either email or telephone conversations throughout the installation was exceptionally good with any queries answered in a timely manner. Scaffolding assembly and dismantlement were efficient and prompt as were the installation team. We would have no hesitation in recommending this company, Frank and his team did a superb job.

Oct 10,2022I was introduced to CRG via SolarGuide when looking at getting a new Solar PV and Battery Storage system quoted for. CRG were quick of the mark to make contact and Frank attended to carry out a home survey a few days later. Frank was incredible, he really listened to what I was looking for and really was able to tailor and inform myself of the different options available. Frank was not there to hard sale, he really took the time to explain the pro's and con's, how the accreditation schemes worked and warranty. It was a refreshingly honest experience Since the initial home survey, Frank has answered and provided further guidance quickly via email. The overall my dealings with CRG has been outstanding and would highly recommend anyone looking at Solar PV and Battey Storage to speak to them!

Oct 01,2022Solar is a considrable investment and I did a fair amount of research so as to gain some info prior to the risky business of inviting salesfolk in my home. I contacted four reputable companies inviting them to quote and not one replied. I found one of those'middle man' agencies who vet contractors and they undertook to send three bona-fide contractors in to quote. First one in was CRG, a very kowledgeable chap named Frank came to quote. I was expecting double glazing style bull/pressure selling but I couldn't have been more wrong. I was treated with respect, given background info on not only the company but also the suppliers, along with informative conversation on options available and an ability to have input. Such a refreshing change to the near-forced 'recommendation' that I have come to expect in a modern day sales pitch. CRG provided a proper detailed contract including named specification of components, lead times, works duration and payment stages. They also included a sensible penalties section protecting both parties. I signed a few days later - with no pressure! Come the time for installation, proper scaffolding was erected in advance and a four man crew rocked up on the day at the specified time and set about their work. It's no small job and I was anticipating losing the house to them for the duration, With boxes of components to unpack and equipment to assemble you have to be ready to accept a loss of access to hallway, stairs, landing with much too-ing and fro-ing between loft and meter cupboard. Inside five hours it was a done job. Cable off-cuts, dust from drilling, cartons and packaging all gone. The team didn't have one crossed word between them, just entertaining banter all the way. The system works, all of the mandatory registration was done for me and I was given an app and instruction on how I could monitor the effectiveness of the system in operation. I have never had such stress-free service before. These guys are absolitely fantastic, I can wholeheatedly recommend them.

Mar 08,2023CRG installed 6 solar panels on our garage roof. Excellent service from start to finish. Competitive and fair price. Several other companies only used Google earth to do the initial survey and decided they could only fit 4 panels and so a battery pack was pointless. CRG did a proper accurate on site survey and determined that 6 would fit fine and so we could have a battery as well - which was what we wanted. Great job , really happy. The fitters didn't replace some of our block driveway very well, but Victoria and Melissa in the office organised a proper repair, and wouldn't take final payment until everything was spot on. Really pleased and can't speak highly enough of the whole company . Thank you CRG Direct. Also, great App to watch the sun power our home and little or nothing coming from the Grid! :-)
