I received my Elephant Bike around a month ago and I absolutely love it! The service was excellent, I had ordered a cover for my bike basket without realising they were part of a promotion at the time so I was promptly refunded before I'd even noticed my mistake. The bike arrived even faster than promised, and I was able to book a delivery day that worked for me. I've only had a very minor issue with the gears, it's a little tricky to shift from second to first while moving as the lever just won't budge sometimes but it's getting easier so I think it'll work itself out the more I use my bike. I certainly expected a minor issue or two though being a reconditioned bike so this isn't an issue for me at all. I'd definitely recommend Cycle of Good to others!

my bag straps broke pretty much immediately. great intention but not much point recycling things into a useless product which is essentially still waste waiting to be recycled.

I Absolutely adore my Elephant Bike! Love the ethos of re-use, re-cycle and the international project dimension. Should be a 5 star review for the product Less pleased with courier not delivering to Argyll - A Mainland Scotland address 20 mins from the Argyll & Bute Council offices - Not Remote at all. Poor service, simply not good enough. No option to pay a surcharge or change courier. I had to drive to pick up from closest available safe address. Minor gripe - Elephant Bike logo sticker on downtube had rubbed away in transit. More robust sticker tech or protection from shredded cardboard packing would resolve this.

These products are great - finding a second use for an otherwise unwanted item. My Cycle of Good wallet is very hard wearing and still looks as good as new ! They make great gifts and I'm sure my son will enjoy the mini pouch I've bought him Using a recycled product also makes you feel virtuous in knowing you are helping to break the vicious circle of "use and discard"

The bike is beautiful and I was so happy when it arrived. I followed the instructions in order to prepare the bike for a road test. After 20 minutes of cycling, it was clear something was wrong; only the first gear worked properly. The second and third gears would slip every 5 to 10 pedals or so. I contacted Cycle of Good using the number they provide for support. I explained the situation to the mechanic who appeared surprised as he said all bikes are tested before shipping. He said I needed a new gear hub. They shipped an entire back wheel within a few days because they were out of hubs. I cycled, in first gear only, the three miles to the only bike shop in these parts and they did the work for 20 quid within four days. The bike is a beaut, but if I could make one suggestion: triple check the bikes before shipping for brakes, gears, etc. UPDATE It turns out the hub was fine. What I didn't realize until I did some research was that I need to pedal backward when I change gears. Did I miss that in the instructions? I didn't see anything advising me to pedal backward when shifting gears, nor was I instructed to try that over the phone when I called before taking my bike into the shop to replace what may actually be a perfectly fine gear hub.
