D’Angelico Guitars is an American musical instrument manufacturer and guitar brand based in Manhattan, New York.
I bought the Premier Mini DC from Sweetwater and all I have to say is this guitar is AWESOME! so much fun to play! the fit and finish is excellent. Fret are finished to perfection. All the hardware is perfect. Pickups sound great through all my amps. My only complaint is that the tone controls could use a little more exacting range. their sweep in not that good.
This is my first professional guitar ever. Now i am certain what i want to do in my life and what i love doing. This guitar has a soul. Playing on it makes me happy and i like to listen to me playing. The sound is amazing and just very pretty.
Great service. The personnel were very informative and helpful. My experience was exceptionally excellent!
Had to replace a tailpiece that failed on an EXL-1. Which they shouldn’t fail at the hinge and metal break just from string pressure. Being a used instrument I had to pay $100 for this part. But at least they sent a spare! Good job.
I have recently purchased 3 D'Angelico Guitars: Deluxe Series Bedford SH Electric Guitar; Premier Series Bowery Cutaway Dreadnought Acoustic-Electric; Excel Series SS Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar. All exhibit exquisite craftsmanship, excellent play ability, and an unmatched tonal quality. I have additionally purchased an assortment of guitar picks and a guitar strap. I highly recommend D'Angelico's products!!
Love the quality and style. Only comment is I wish they weren’t out of stock on a few items. Especially with the holidays coming.
A gorgeous guitar. I love it.
I ordered some accessories for my 12 string: a D'Angelico case, strap, some picks. It all arrived on time and in perfect condition. Great guitar, great case, and great strap (the D'Angelico medium picks are pretty great, too!)
I had questions about a part and emailed at least 3 times. Finally, I gave up and just paid for a part that should not have broken in the first place. Cheap pot metal on a handmade American Hollowbody is ridiculous.
Sent fast and received quickly.
The staff at the Aspen store couldn't have been more knowledgeable and friendly. The guitar I purchased is outstanding. For this price point, I couldn't be happier with the guitar. I own 32 guitars, and I can tell this one will be an instant favorite.
The guitar arrived in good shape. Fortunately it was packed well as the delivery driver threw the box into the bushes and knocked over a potted tree. The sound is very nice. The fretboard nice for a player with small hands.
Everything went very smoothly. No complaints.
This review would have been 5 Stars if not for a few things. I registered my new guitar and was notified that I would receive 30% off on a purchase from the D'Angelico Store. I never received any notification of the 30% off and had to contact them and have them send me the code to use when making the purchase. I wanted to purchase a guitar case for my guitar but they were "unavailable/out of stock" for what seemed like several months. When they finally became available I was able to purchase a case using the 30% discount and it arrived in a timely manner. Other than having to jump through a few extra hoops, everything went great!
I have no problem with the purchase, but you need to reprogram your system to recognize there is no sales tax on clothing in New Jersey. I bought a tee shirt and was charged tax.
Fantastic company with fantastic products. A new favorite for sure.
Communication from the D'Angelico store is difficult post-ordering, but Tim Diaz in Customer Service has been great to work with.
The guitar arrived on time and showed no sign of damage. The packaging was very good. The tuner assembly did show that two of the 4 screws were tightened to tight, leaving small cracks on the plastic, which were visible in the blue backlight. The tuner worked perfectly and I am very happy with my purchase. The guitar sounds good and even better with amplification. Great to have an inbuilt tuner wherever I am.
I play the Excel-1. It is the essence of sound in a jazz guitar. Each note is matched in tone and volume through the scale. The neck is unsurpassed in feel and playability. I can only imagine the New Yorker with its solid wood maple body as surpassing it in sustain and timbre, however this student model sings with a voice all its own! Thank you D’Angelico
