Mar 13,2019I mailed my sample in 2/12/19 after Dave Aspreys’ - from Bulletproof - endorsement. His big push - with the CEO in studio - was a 10 day turnaround time. It’s 3/13/19 and my results not ready. More concerning, when I checked the status I was told my password had been reset. Long story short, despite one email being used to open an account and the same email included with my sample, my sample was evidently connected with an incorrect, unknown email that had not been used in billing, account creation, or sample submission. They tell me it was the email used to open the account which makes no sense re:above info. I gave 2 stars instead of one because customer service is polite. That said there has been nothing close to promised delivered for the fee and there is obviously a glitch. Now they are saying it may take more than the 10 days (mailing in took 3 weeks?!) to process. Hard to have faith in the results when my identity is already in question! Seems like a credit, additional info or offer to re-do or expedite would be warranted but based on other reviews I should not hold my breath.

Mar 12,2019I had heard about DNAFit from a friend. Was interested to see if I could see a difference from what I have been recommended by diet doctors in the past. I have been blown away by not only the amount of information I received in the original report, but also the additional services that are available to me like the Nutritionist live call I just had. Even more surprising is the effort that the company made to make sure I took advantage of their services. I actually got a follow up call making sure I got all the reports, and to let me know the contact with the nutritionist was included in my original cost!

Mar 12,2019Excellent add-on product if you have done the 23andme DNA test. I previously purchased the 23andme product to get some ancestry insight together with certain health-related risks based on my genes, but the DNAFit product took me up another level by suggesting gene-specific diet plans together with exercises and routines to follow in the gym depending on my goals. I've been trying to live a healthier lifestyle over the last few years and whilst a lot of fitness magazines and research out there gives some generic advice, through my DNAFit report, I've realised that not all of them would generally work for my genes. I found this helpful in adjusting my eating habits and training regimes and believe that it is always better to specifically target my genetic predisposition than just do whatever the current health fad was. I've found it to be good value for money given that you get a personalised call for training and a separate one for nutrition thrown in as part of the package. For people serious about living a healthy lifestyle specific to their genetic predisposition, I think this is definitely a worthwhile investment.

I have made a number of changes to my diet following receipt of my results and feel I am on track for optimum health. Overall, knowing my genetics in relation to health and nutrition is tremendously empowering. Well done DNAFit!

Mar 12,2019I am very favorably impressed with my DNAFit experience. I first did the 23&Me program, which was sadly lacking on specific recommendations to compensate for potential HEALTH issues. Then I sent my raw 23&Me genetic data to two other "analytics" companies. One provided too much data, and their report format was difficult to understand. The other was very good for GENERAL HEALTH ISSUES, but did not address any FITNESS issues and only a few that were DIET related. DNAFit's report format blows the others out of the water! Very easy to follow the ONLINE report, which has links to additional information if that is desired. And the option to print out a simpler, but still very useful PRINTED report is great. But the best surprise for me was the ability to schedule a half hour phone consultation, at NO EXTRA COST, with a DNAFit Fitness Consultant to discuss the report and ask any questions that I might have about the results. This is great. I had my consultation this afternoon, and I'm planning to revise my workout routine/schedule to incorporate some of the recommendations that we discussed. Without the personalized phone consult, I would not have fully understood what I should be doing. I'm planning to try the changes for 2 months and see how well it works for me.

Mar 10,2019I got the bloodtest package, and the whole experience was poor/ shocking. Initially, the data said I was deficient in almost all the nutrition levels. When I asked for the doctor's review to be corrected, they CHANGED my results, making everything sufficient/ in the green zone, apart from 1 item. How can I trust their results? Its literally been months since getting the test done with them, and the data has still not been reviewed by a doctor.

Mar 10,2019I found the Nutrigenetic report from DNAFit to be very helpful. It provided recommendations based on my DNA profile the optimal diet type for weight management and over all health. It also included recommendations for supplements and nutritional foods for my health goals. I was not aware that I have lactose intolerance! The consultation with the nutritionist was helpful as well and I and in process of scheduling my consultation with an exercise coach. The report is comprehensive and the DNAFit site has a tremendous amount of information to assist in achieving your health goals. I would recommend DNAFit to anyone who is interested to understand the optimum nutrition and exercise based on their genetics.

Mar 10,2019I was very cautious ordering this report, not sure what to expect. It came back in time, extremely interesting and informative. But the best part was the phone conversation with the nutritionist. Amy was very helpful, explained everything really clearly and patiently responded to any questions I forgot to ask after we finished our conversation. I scheduled another follow up conversation with her to check on my progress. The service has exceeded all my expectations. I'm planning to order the kit for the rest of my family.

Mar 09,2019I am not sure what is going on at DNAfit. I submitted my 23 and Me data months ago and was very satisfied with what I received. We just did the same for my wife and received no data. The site says still waiting days later. I sent them an email via their website a couple days ago and no answer. Luckily we used a coupon which reduced our losses but I would not use this company until it is actually working again. I am actually leaving this review in hopes we get an answer since a direct email does not seem to work. *** Update - DNAfit did resolve the issue by issuing a refund which is what my wife decided she wanted. I did have to contact them at every source I could find though. Apparently the one that works is FB Messanger. Don't bother with the website email.

Mar 08,2019This was a big of scam in my opinion. I understand the reason the service costs so much - you have lots of chats with experts and the tests I'm sure involve a lot of time and effort. But the way they have deduced from your swab what DNA makeup you have and how you then fit into these neat little boxes is such garbage. I don't know what I was expecting but I certainly feel scammed. This is "what I learnt" about my genetic makeup and hence best fitness and health choices- things that are somehow "personal" to me (forgive me if I'm the only one but I don't need a £100+ test to find out the following obvious information..!) - I have a positive response to alcohol (meaning I can drink a glass of wine a day...fab...) I have a high sensitivity to salt.... excessive salt.. duh.. (like 90% of participants....!) caffeine I'm allowed in moderation.. wow, groundbreaking I have the genes to be a coeliac and a high carb sensitivity (great, but I'm not a coeliac and I eat bread everyday and am never bloated) low chance of being lactose intolerant (even though I was as I child and it caused my eczema.) I need lots of vitamins (options being you either need the normal dose of said vitamins or a slightly raised dose..) Eating too much smoked meat and fish is bad (how surprising) Eating lots of cruciferous vegetables and the like are good (really?) The final kicker - I should do a combination of cardio and power/ weight exercise.... no one has ever told me this before (JK) There's lots of fancy science words to help sweeten the pill but honestly they clearly don't mean much. Anyone could have told me any of the following generic information without swabbing my cheek. I'm 100% not satisfied. Don't bother wasting your money, there are cheaper ways to find out all of this information which is hardly "tailored" to individuals

The consultation with a nutritionist and an exercise adviser allowed understanding of the results in the context of diet and preferred exercise program. They also provide links to the relevant SNP data that the studies are based on.

Mar 07,2019I ordered the Diet Fitness Pro 360 for AncestryDNA users. You will need to download your DNA data from Ancestry for this (web search for "download ancestry raw dna" for guidance). I uploaded to the DNAFit site, and the results were accessible in a couple of minutes. Easy, and meant I did not need to pay for another DNA test. The portal is very simple to navigate and fairly easy to understand your results (if you want more detail there are links through to reference pages). The Infographic provides a good summary overview that can be printed off for easy reference. The Android mobile app is also very easy to navigate. I did feel I needed more of a understanding of what the results actually meant to me as an individual, what changes I should look to make, etc, and the portal did give me enough for that. This is where the telephone appointment with the dietician / fitness scientist comes in. Had an appointment last week with the dietitian and found it very useful. We went through and reviewed my results, and was able to ask questions to help my understanding. After the session I was emailed a summary of the appointment and some suggested changes to my meal plan. I have yet to connect to the muscle builder or fat builder training, so can't comment on those, though happy with the service so far.
