I recently contacted DDLs to complain against Irresponsible/Unaffordable Lending. This has been acknowledge and the claim is now working its way through the process. Albeit I have explained my situation. And the MH issues I suffer from and the negative effect this episode is having on me. Half hoping DDLs would be more understanding and compassionate - delivering a timely final response. As yet, despite providing evidence, this has failed to materialise. More so, some of my correspondence is simply being ignored (they’ve since stated this themselves) and the replies I have received to date have become more and more aggressive. Why can’t these companies handle these situations like decent human beings. Why do they seem hell bent on making people more vulnerable, emotionally unstable and stressed? I don’t think I can cope with this prolonged strain on my MH. Update 28/12: It’s been almost 7 days since I had the last correspondence or reply from DDLs. With offices open to issue more loans to those vulnerable it’s clear I’m not a priority, I’m being ignored and my well being doesn’t matter to them at all. I will continue to provide updates as and when…….that’s the only way to be fair and accurate in sharing my experience Update 03/01 so I got my response to my complaint. DDLs did not uphold my claim. More upsetting and disturbing was the fact that despite asking for evidence of my MH issues - which I provided doctors letters and details of my medication etc. they dismissed this out of hand - stating in no uncertain terms that this contributed to my decision making ability and state of mind. The wording was insulting, inconsiderate and showed no compassion at all. They are an absolute disgrace of a company and I will be pursuing this matter as far as I can.
This is crazy ! I have had 2 loans off them, never missed one payment, never rang up to say I couldn’t pay, always paid on time ! My circumstances have never changed they are still the same, I paid off my last loan and needed money for a car repair I thought great il try dot dot cos like I says paid with no issues only for them to tell me no. They can reply to this review and be like oh we are serious lenders blah blah but you not rewarding the people who actual pay on time every time in each loan they have , my circumstances are the exact same, to be honest I think you have lost a good customer here and for that I have left this review — you need to look after your customers
Rude!!!! They gave my account to debt recovery agency without asking me any of my changes in circumstances
Alright company, loan processed easily and quickly, only fault was you couldn't pay you contractual payment early but paid my whole loan back before the first payment in the end.
Awful experience all round for this company. I tried to be proactive after only 2 months into the loan, I advised that my situation had become difficult and offered a settlement which would have still ensured the company benefitted from 180%APR even setting up the requested plan. The company then did not clearly read my proposal, set up a plan and failed it when it was not what I had proposed. Half of my emails were ignored, I received arrogant and disinterested responses in the situation to a point where the company are now clearly pushing for the account to default. Literally at the end of my tether before writing this as I feel like there's nowhere else to go. I have had other lenders who have been incredibly understanding and helpful but DotDotLoans stand out as a truly awful experience. I wish I had never discovered them. Someone should probably inform them that we are in a cost of living crisis and this brings need to help people.
Spoke to an advisor as fell behind with my loan.Happily set up a payment plan over the phone. The person was exrtremely helpful and courteous.Did not judge my situation Once again fantastic service
I took out a loan for £500. I have made 3 payments of £165 and have offered to pay an extra £200 this month. Because all interest is incurred on the date of signing up to the loan, at the maximum amount allowed by law, the only advantage of making the additional payment is to reduce the total that I am required to repay by £79. £121 of the £200 goes towards interest, even though the extra payment is being made far in advance of the end of the loan term. £79 is described by the lender as a rebate, but is in fact them ensuring that they don't charge beyond the full legal limit of what they are able. There is no option for purely paying off some of the original loan capital, even if you meet you normally monthly payment on time, as would be the case with most loans. This approach forces people to remain in debt longer than necessary and is both unfair and immoral. I will still have paid in excess of £900 by the end of the term. There is no resolution of this issue through the complaints procedure, so I will be passing this on to the Financial Ombudsman, although I fear there is nothing that can be done to stop this abhorrent practice.

Jan 02,2023SCAM First asked for £20 so I give £20 via bank transfer, agent said it's 101 percent legit, then after paying £20 the agent then asked for a further £150 to get a loan, after refusing and wanting a refund for my £20 I paid the agent got very aggressive and started swearing at me and my family, he then swore at me through WhatsApp before blocking me. Absolute scam very unprofessional stay away.
