Nov 27,2024I have filed a formal complaint with the FTC against Dovly, a credit repair service, for not providing the services they promised and for denying my request for a refund. Despite multiple attempts to settle this issue with their support team, they have consistently refused to grant a full refund, and canceled the $99 service I paid a year in advance for. Issue Background: 1. Service Malfunction: The AI credit repair service offered by Dovly failed to operate as promised. Disputes I raised with Equifax and Experian were not processed, and Dovly's customer support confirmed that updates for these bureaus were suspended due to technical difficulties. - Evidence: Dovly's email from November 19, 2024, acknowledges their failure to process disputes with two major credit bureaus. 2. Manual Efforts: After subscribing to their service for $99.99 for one year, I had to personally manage disputes with all three credit bureaus to see any improvement. - Evidence: The improvements in my credit score were a result of my own efforts, as outlined in my emails from November 21-22, 2024. I also possess all the direct communications required with the three credit bureaus due to the ineffectiveness and inoperability of Dovly's AI. 3. Marketing Misrepresentation: Dovly markets itself as an AI-driven service that automates credit repair, but my experience was devoid of any automation or significant help. Their service was essentially non-operational. - Evidence: Promotional statements from their website, such as "Dovly AI builds, fixes, and protects credit," and "Dovly AI is revolutionizing the credit industry with the first comprehensive AI credit engine that builds, fixes, and protects credit, enabling all Americans to thrive financially – at no cost. Powered by AI," did not reflect the service and experience provided to me. They also claim, "Just set it and forget it – let AI do the tough work. We'll keep you updated with credit score changes, tips, and recommendations—just download and you're good to go."
