Having previously managed our online marketing in-house we made the decision to outsource based on the need for growth and lack of industry expertise, during our search we discovered DPOM, from the moment I enquired they was friendly and informative answering all my questions. We have now been with DPOM for just short of 2 years, Dean has been our account manager from day one and has really got to grips with our brand and what we are trying to achieve in a highly competitive industry. The whole on-boarding process was simple and comprehensive and I was particularly impressed with the brand discovery which was also very comprehensive. We originally joined DPOM for social media management but after our initial success, Dean recommended that we take their SEO service as this would allows us to achieve our long-term objectives. During our discussions to take on SEO, the team analysed our current performance and website to give us a clear indication of what we could expect. We decided to go for SEO and our website was also optimised as part of their CRO service as we had usability issues. We even had problems with our website host which DPOM was able to solve. Tread very carefully when dealing with this outfit. I have noticed when a bad review is left ,they reply with a long winded explanation in an attempt to justify them selves,DON'T BE FOOLED . I had to give them one star,no option for no star They alleged I signed up for a 12 month contract ,ididnt, they eventually admitted i didn't tick the box on the said agreement. I never gave this company any bank details, never ticked any box stating 12 month contract . They informed they couldn't do any work on my alleged contract,after reading other poor reviews I informed them straight away I wouldn't be dealing with the company,they now want £1800 for doing nothing. They use a debt collection agency to chase monies that are not owed. I have since spoke to other people who have used this out fit, and I have urged them to leave a review. I very rarely leave reviews, even on Amazon where I seem to spend most of my spare time. In this case though, I had to put pen to paper. I am far from being “internet savvy”. I can write emails and sometimes find the replies, and I can order from such sites as Amazon without too many problems. As a contractor, I need to constantly increase my client base to generate new business. In the past, this has taken the form of full colour advertisements in trade magazines. This has partly been successful, but far from Ideal as I couldn’t monitor it. It was then suggested to me by an acquaintance to try Adwords. Never heard of it so I did some research and a month later felt I had enough of a basic grasp as not to look too dumb when contacting agencies. I tried about 6/7 agencies, most promising me the earth, which always makes me suspicious. I then called DP Online Marketing (Dpom). What a refreshing change. Arlena was extremely helpful and took the time to explain what they could do for my business in layman’s talk. The same day I received a quotation that explained absolutely everything. I’m still not sure how it works, just that it does. Arlena and the team send me a report every month and if I don’t understand anything I simply give her a call. Since I engaged this agency, I spend almost double with Google than I did at the beginning. Why? Because I am getting more than double the enquiries so it’s very cost effective. I now have them post Facebook Ads and they too, are doing really well. I am one very happy bunny! So, if your looking for an honest, helpful and professional agency, give DPOM a call.
Having been recently asked by DPOM to provide a review, I have no hesitation in doing so. I've worked with DPOM now for nearly 3 years and I've found them to be easy to work with and very understanding of any concerns I've had - In fact, they never have a problem with reassuring me and ensuring I know exactly how my marketing campaign is going, particularly when I email out of the blue! Needless to say, my campaign is running well and as long they continue to do a good job for me, I will continue to be a client without hesitation!
I was very disappointed by the service of DPOM. The sales guy I spoke to at the beginning was very passionate, and I bought a 12 months contract for Google adverts and a landing page. Yet, the service did not match what they promised. I was told we would agree KPIs, that my campaign would be split tested and that every month they would make changes to improve the landing page. None of this happened. I was later given reason why it would not make sense to split test and make monthly changes, but why was I then promised that they would? The copy for the landing page was very poor. The initial draft did not even describe what visitors would sign up to, and my coaching services were described as "treatments". I asked for a few basic changes to remove the worst issues, which DPOM made reluctantly. I was told to just trust them and not to request further changes. I was assured that they would make monthly adjustments anyway to improve the landing page. Yet, when I asked my account manager at our review points what actual changes had bee made, she could not give me an answer. I have no visibility that DPOM had made any changes at all, despite me asking to let me know about the work they had done. After seven months of not receiving a single lead and having spent over £3,000 I asked to be released from the contract. Although the google stats had indeed improved (that's what the two stars are for), I had not received any enquires form the campaign. Although DPOM agreed (at that point) that the campaign did not work, they refused to let me out of the contract. They insisted that I continue to pay for services which simply did not create results. Then after several rounds of complaints from me, DPOM suddenly produced a list of 9 leads that the campaign apparently produced over the last two months. Yet, I never received them and at that point they were too old to act on. I still contacted the leads but did not receive any response. All very odd.
This is how they treat customers that want to leave. They unplug from your adwords, and all of your bids immediately are reset and wiped off - £0.01 bids for all ad campaigns. Then, the warn you by saying you `may need to` take a look at your budgets (on a friday afternoon i may add). From the horses mouth: "I did email you on Friday to remind you about this so I'm sure you're aware but I just wanted to give you another reminder that you budgets may need to changed/looked at as you have been pulled out of our systems. Please check and amend your budgets appropriately. Just as a parting note, This Jan you did 35K in sales for 9.3K cost whereas last Jan you did 29.9K in sales for 12.4K in cost. Year on year, you've never been in a better position than what we are leaving you in - much of this is thanks to our technology which you will no longer have access too. You WILL see your performance decline here on in as a result of this now being removed." Of course it will decline - you just dropped a bomb on the next agency. I was most defintely not told that all bids will be updated to ZERO. "As a reminder, after today the campaign becomes your responsibility and we will be pulling you out of our systems, so it's important that you take a look into your campaigns just to make sure everything is running how you want it to run (budgets etc). " Please remind me at which point was i told categorically that the budgets woudl essentitally be marked as ZERO/ reset? It was suggested that i `mite like check the budgets` - but i wasnt told that unplugging your scripts would leave us with essenially no budgets defined/ assigned to our campaigns.

Don't really leave reviews, but in DPOM's case, I had to make an exception. I contacted the company as I was considering having a crack at Pay Per Click, but wanted someone to manage it as I didn't fully understand how it worked. From first contact, I was guided through the procedure by a very honest AdWords manager. I knew results were not going to be instant, (what advertising is) but the level of honesty and their knowledge of their industry made me feel comfortable and I signed up. Best thing I ever did. Three months in and the marketing is working like a dream. Best thing I ever did. Very highly recommended.
My review will be factually accurate and I intend to only publish facts which I can prove or opinions about this company to avoid it being removed, or legal steps being taken from the company in question (as per an email from them - they threatened to take legal action if we put our experience online). I would avoid this company like the plague had I been given the chance again. DPOM is run by [name removed]. This is a sole trader business, not VAT registered and not registered with companies house. Brett (as DPOM) contacted me about October 2012 on UK Business Forums touting for business. After much debate we accepted his offer because; he promised delivery before Christmas 2011, came in at a reasonable price and said he could meet all of our requirements. Also, [name removed] told me that the work completed was by UK based programmers - I later found out that the work was outsourced to Bosnia and Herzegovina. We were also told that until we were completely happy, I did not have to pay. Following this we had around 13 pages of contract agreements to sign. The site was 'completed', according to [name removed], until March 2012. During this time we persistently had to chase [name removed] because he was far behind the proposed schedule and emphasised how unhappy we were. During this time I had to remind [name removed] of our requirements and mistakes on the website. In March 2012 [name removed] started getting pushy on payment because we wanted the website live promptly and he wasn't prepared to give it to us until we had paid - despite the unfinished and buggy work. The site was currently working slowly, which he said was due to the database and website content being on two separate servers which were of low spec. As we needed the site live as quickly as possible, we made the mistake of paying. We allowed [name removed] to specify which server and software was needed on our new site and he said he would 'take care of it'. Once the site was uploaded, it was still slow and [name removed] response was that it was nothing to do with him. Other issues we have which [name removed] failed to resolve include, the admin section tutorial, the product feed tutorial (he promised to contact our feed management company for our product listings but never did), site speed issues, URL issues, footer link issues, administration issues. Once handed over, [name removed] gave us the login details to the admin section and then never spoke to us again by phone and stated he would only communicate by email. The admin section (which was never shown to me for me to be 100% happy) was very insufficient. You are unable to view an order in full or add comments to an order for example. We expressed what we were unhappy about and he failed to resolve them. Once we said we would make our experience public, [name removed] said he would start legal proceedings. We thought this would give him an incentive to get the issue resolved. It didn't. Both I and [name removed](our Sales Manager) attempted to contact [name removed] at least 11 times after handing over almost £3,000. None of our calls were answered by [name removed](I can only assume the shared office receptionist had been asked not to transfer the call). Also [name removed] has failed to hand over all passwords and logins so that we can get the corrections made to the site despite asking. As a conclusion we: - Are our almost £3,000 out of pocket. - Have been threatened with legal proceedings for expressing our experience. - Have been left with a site, already behind schedule, that we cannot launch to do numerous problems. - Have had to hire other contractors to fix the problems, but they cannot start the work as [name removed] is not responding to emails asking for the usernames and passwords to do so.
