The ECG Academy® Learning System is an online, self-paced ECG course created by a cardiac electrophysiologist and award-winning educator, Dr. Nick Tullo. It consists of easy to understand video tutorials that will quickly teach you how to expertly interpret complex ECG rhythm strips and 12-lead electrocardiograms. The course starts with the basics, so no prior experience is needed.... you only need a desire to become an ECG Expert.
ECG Academy is not just another ECG Course. We teach the BETTER Way to Read ECGs... rather than relying on "recognizing" arrhythmias (like in ACLS), you will learn WHY the ECG looks the way it does. You'll become comfortable ANALYZING tracings with a deep understanding of the physiology behind the tracings.
Our mission is to “revolutionize” ECG learning and get everyone in the healthcare field who values their job and their patients to “Read Different” — to see ECGs in a new light and start recognizing that there’s more to arrhythmias than what’s in the textbooks. We are building a community of providers who look at ECGs like a cardiac electrophysiologist. Unfortunately, most providers never have the opportunity to train with a cardiologist, and certainly not with an EP doctor. We want to open new doors in your career by enabling you to recognize the subtle findings in tracings from across the room that others never see.
Great course! Really challenge you but very helpful . Plus you can take it at your own pace! Highly recommend
ECG Academy is a wonderful company with excellent customer service! They address your concerns with quick response times which shows they actually value their customers. Dr. Nick is an excellent teacher with amazing communication skills. He explains ECGs in a simplified manner that helps you to improve upon your interpreting skills and eliminate fear.
The videos are very informative and easy to follow.
Dr. Tullo is very knowledgeable and course was very easy to follow. Only suggestion for improvement I would like are built in digital calipers.
The Presentation was great! I learned a lot about ecg and cardiac pathophysiology.
Very informative. Feel much more comfortable with ECGs now!
ECG Academy is one of the best thing that’s happened to me. I’m a new hire at a lovely company which offers telemetry monitoring. My trainer mentioned once or twice in class that there is this great online ECG course by Dr. Nick which will propel anyone into greatness! That it would turn a good tech into a GREAT tech. So of course with my curious mind and hunger for knowledge I partook in the free aspect. I ate that up in less than a day. From there I was hooked. Once I was able to sign up and get access to all of the training I felt limitless. Dr. Nick has a way of explaining difficult concepts in an easy and digestible way. Sometimes a person can explain a concept (even my trainers at times who are wonderful btw), and I need to hear it a few different ways in order to get it. And with Dr. Nicks videos they go down easy. It clicks. Thank you Dr. Nick. And beyond that he is a kind soul. I had a customer service issue and he took the time to assist me himself. Wow! That’s hands on. How does he find the time? He makes it! That’s a person who truly cares. Let me add that my company tells all of our new hires about the ECG Academy. Taking this course most certainly will make a difference in your analysis abilities. I’m fact I’m joining his masterclass this week and can’t wait! Thank you Dr. Nick.
Great program! Highly recommend.
The BEST!!! Dr. Nick’s videos are SO good! I have been an EKG tech for 8 years and recently changed jobs to a Holter/event monitor tech after getting my CCT. I have been watching these videos daily to sharpen my skills and I am just loving all the content! This is a cornucopia of knowledge. You want to have complex strips explained to you one after another numbering into the hundreds by an expert? Watch his chalk talks! I can’t get enough. The ONLY thing I would change about the site is I wish I could get the videos to auto-play because I’d watch them all day long :)
Dr. Nick's L1 and L2 for NPs shows an easy to understand, in short segments, systematic approach to understanding everything I always wished I knew. Thanks, Dr. Nick!
I work as a nurse in outpatient cardiology so being able to read ecgs well is very important. I had tried to teach myself through various videos on youtube or a few different books that were available to me but I struck gold when I found the ECG Academy. Dr. Nick does such a great job with thorough explanations and interesting ECGs. His courses are a bargain at twice the price and I found after the fact that I would be reimbursed by my employer. Thank you Dr. Nick Tullo, I am a better nurse after taking your course!
Dr. Nick takes on ECGs while keeping in mind his target audience to break down concepts to a level that anyone can understand, and then he expertly builds on it using anatomy and physiology as the background of "why." This is not a course of rote memorization, it's a slow and steady build on existing knowledge, which is much different that the surface level electrophysiology taught in graduate school. It allows for a deeper understanding as well the ability to continue to read and grow. Recommend 100% for APRNs, PAs, and cardiology residents/fellows.
Great explanations and examples. The only thing I wish they had was digitalis calipers to help with the questions.
Great for fellowship! Started EP this week, and it has been extremely useful - not just for understanding what's actually happening in the lab, but for basics of ECG as well. The content is the full compendium of basics - advanced and everything in between. Excellent, worth the investment.
An extremely thorough course that teaches you way more in depth ecg reading than any course I've previously taken. I have a significantly better understanding and ability to read the 12 lead now with confidence.
Level of expertise is unmatched, and the strategy allows one to really learn and understand the physiology behind challenging rhythms.
Fantastic course. I’ve been working closely with ECG Academy for 5+ years and have all of my FNP students enroll in this course. They love it and walk away being able to read ECGs. It’s super fun too!
This was a systematic course that linked physiology with ECG interpretation. I have a stronger understanding of potential causes for ECG changes which will enhance my clinical practice. It was helpful to work through the course material as my work schedule allowed.
This was an excellent, thorough, detailed course with easy to follow and understand format. This course improved by ECG interpretation skills significantly. Recommend for any new practitioners in cardiology. Loved this course!

May 26,2024EKG Academy was great. Dr. Tullo not only presented the information, but also gave many opportunities to test yourself and review your areas of weakness. The use of drawing to explain conduction was also very helpful. I would recommend
