Purchased the Echelon Stride 6s-10 treadmill. The console on the treadmill never worked properly and after receiving an over air update, stopped working all together. Customer service has not helped and I have been waiting months for a warranty action with no updates. Do not waste your time or money - go elsewhere.
What a garbage product. My brand new Stride treadmill lasted a year and a half and then died. Won't power on anymore and will cost an excessive amount to fix. Do yourself a favor and stick to better brands.
After doing an update, the software was not working properly, and kept freezing during a class or not being able to start at all. Emailing customer service for last 9 months. After initial email, there is no 2nd response. When I call they say the problem will be escalated to a tech who will call me back. But after several calls no one has called me back yet. Problem still not solved. update: problem fixed! the bike needs to be close to the modem for the wireless to work. Got customer service from Jasmine Bittar who contacted me 9/19/24. We wanted to buy an Eschelon Stride 6s-10 treadmill. Hubby and I are well into our senior years, so I called their sales center to ask about having it set up in our home. Salesperson was far less than minimally helpful, as well as difficult to understand. She basically said I could choose that option on the website when I ordered. Okay. Went to the website & tried to order. Every time I tried to put it in a cart, a page for a premium membership came up. We did not want a membership. But when I cancelled the membership, the entire order was cancelled. So, I tried their 'bot help. Finally got it to agree to transfer me to a live agent. Then waited on hold for 30 minutes before giving up and ordering a treadmill from a different company! PS: This is one of only 2 bad reviews I've ever written. I much prefer writing good ones.
Terrible customer service/ back office. I purchased a Echelon bike last year, and since had issues with the wire that connects to the monitor and now the crank arm. I must have contacted them at least 30+ times over the last year and the only response I get is that the warehouse are waiting for the item to be restocked. For how long will this continue? Do they even have a descent logistical process? They can focus on the marketing of selling the product but the customer service both via email and phone are poor and unprofessional. I am totally appauled with the service and have requested my money back but they will not but instead increase my membership to keep me (with a broken bike?!). I've requested their complaints email/ number but they will not give this (or don't have one). Does anyone have this? Be aware of this and recommend not to buy anything from them!
Avoid buying from Echelon at all costs! 7 months and 3 different ellipticals, none that have ever worked. And they are still selling them! Buyer beware! We purchased an Elliptical in October 2023 along with the delivery & set up. That machine never worked. Dozens of calls and emails later as well as troubleshooting with their IT for a few hours, and they had the defective machine picked up, replaced and set-up with a 2nd machine. The 2nd machine didn't work either. Dozens of emails and numerous phone calls later and they have the 2nd defective machine removed, and replaced and set up with a 3rd machine. The 3rd machine does not work either. Dozens of emails, several phone calls and another marathon troubleshooting session with their IT, and still no working machine. I filed formal complaints with the FTC and the NV Attorney General, which I let Echelon know that I did yesterday. Now, today, they are finally taking me seriously after several dozen hours of back and forth with them and the delivery/set-up company over the past 7 months. They finally stated the elliptical machines do not work and there is no fix. They said the only option at this time is a refund and returning the 3rd defective machine. Yet, they are still selling the elliptical 8S on their website as well as at least 11 other websites that I found. This is fraud at its finest people. They continue to knowingly sell ellipticals that do not work! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM!
Wow! For the past several months my bike would crash partially through a live workout. This is very frustrating because it is hard enough for me to get the motivation to ride and even more frustrating when I am doing something good for my body and everything shuts down. This simply becomes a huge waste of time and effort. I have been back and forth with Yavor in tech support over a dozen times over the past 7 months to no avail. I am told every single time to be patient and they are working on a solution. Last year I paid for a 3 year renewal that is worth nothing currently. Patience, patience, patience I am told time and time again. My bike is currently a very heavy piece of garbage. I turned it on today (after forgetting about it for the last month since it don't operate correctly) and it won't even load to a screen. I emailed them again today and will probably receive the "please be patient" response. If you are going to purchase an Echelon product please realize that they will not stand by their equipment. I guess it would be a great gag gift to send to someone. Once they start to get in the groove of working out the bike will magically stop working. The first bike I had broke before a year (Their was a cord hanging out of the flywheel). This one is failing in a completely different fashion. Please heed all these reviews if you are even contemplating a fitness bike. I know Peleton is more expensive, but maybe you get what you pay for.
Awful. What an absolute waste of money. Purchased a £1000 bike, spent the time to build the equipment and now it won’t even update the software. Every time I try and update it takes me back to the same screen. Just to make matters worse, I’ve looked at their own Echelon forum and there are multiple users who have purchased this bike with the same issue! They all mention having to contact Customer Service and that Echelon are aware of the issue. You spend this amount of money to be met with problems straight away? It shall be returned by Monday. No thank you.
The worst customer service I have seen in a long time. It has been 3 weeks with no order confirmation, shipping info or response from support about my order. Feels like I have been scammed.
I am beyond frustrated with Echelon. I have an Echelon Connect 5XS bike. It was great at first, however, I have been having issues since February 2024 with the bike not updating. The update apparently fixes issues with the classes being in complete silence. I have been contacting Echelon customer service on a regular basis since February and they have been zero help. I keep getting told they are working on it and to keep trying periodically to update it. Meanwhile, I’ve already prepaid for a two year membership I cannot use because the bike is useless without the update. Extremely poor customer service, and I wouldn’t recommend buying any of their products. On May 20, 2024 after writing a bad review about the Echelon, I finally received some useful customer service. The response from Echelon resolved my issues. Thank you.
In December 2023, I placed an order with your company. Despite multiple follow-ups and inquiries, the delivery was significantly delayed, and I did not receive the product until May 2024. To my dismay, upon receiving the product, it was found to be non-functional. Since then, I have been in constant communication with your help desk, raising multiple complaints and requesting a resolution. Unfortunately, each interaction has only led to frustration, as no effective solution has been provided to date. As of today, there has been no follow up or status update relating to my complaint and I am looking into sending it a complaint with the FTC's Bureau of Consumer Protection to understand what my options are as this is unacceptable to be waiting 6 months for a paid product.
I purchased a Stride Treadmill about a month ago and am really please with the entire experience now that I'm actively using the app to guide my tread workouts. The equipment setup was really easy, and I feel like this is going to be a game changer for my husband and me in terms of being able to get in a workout when we are short on time (we have a toddler and busy work schedules, like many). I really enjoy the app content and class selection and feel like there is such a large variety that I won't get bored, plus I have access to other types of workouts, like weight lifting, which will address other fitness goals of mine. Overall, very positive experience with Echelon.
Do not purchase anything from Echelon, worst mistake I’ve ever made. The exercise bike I purchased screen didn’t work and took an age to get a replacement. Then the App update had “glitches” and took 4 months to get sorted out. All whilst this was going on they kept taking membership payments from my account as they said they couldn’t stop them. I’ve finally managed to stop payments but I’m stuck with the machines I can’t use…….. Avoid this company
Great company and products! I am part of the majority of Facebook groups that members of Echelon have made and it is such a positive and fun community. All of the instructors and people at echelon really care about the members, they even throw member appreciation weeks! I like that they have a ton of different products so there are so many options to choose from for what fits your home and your budget. Happy to be part of the community!
I purchase a slimline deluxe treadmill. Don’t make the same mistake. Loud, grinding melting plastic smell now dead in less than a year. Distance and speed tracker was never accurate. 5 calls into cut service and still no resolution and now a treadmill that is completely worthless! Do Not buy
I have been apart of the Echelon Community for 3 years now and I honestly can say I will never pay for a trainer again. The on demand aspect lets me workout on my own time and the variety of classes allows me to get a full body workout in. I can't say enough good things about Echelon from the trainers to the customer service experience!
4/30/2024 I suddenly had a fedex email for the replacement part sent and it also of course did not work. The only option left is to use it broken or make the company replace it and send a tech to install it. I kept asking if they could come weekends or holidays around my work schedule and they said they had to process the replacement first. Its been 24 hours and no update. 4/16/2024 After I report them on here, google and BBB they offer to send a nearly identical model that cost $20 more. Here is my reply: How is that going to help me, I'm not putting another one together & trying to dispose of the other. I am disabled and live alone. I want the part or a refund and QVC said per Echelon it had to be returned in the box, which is impossible to put back in the box because you have to cut it open and remove the padding to get it out. I'm sure the display or something would be broken on the other one too, just like all the ones you sold qvc, look at the reviews. I emailed them this on 2/22/2024 and have been lied to about a replacement part being shipped until its too late to return. Body: I received a defective ez step bike I bought on QVC, Order 6988048075 2/17/2024 It didn't have enough screws and a piece of black plastic broke off of somewhere when I opened the box. Poor instructions, needs clearer screw size instructions/letter or # stickers on parts. The back rest is terribly hard and small, it pushes on my tailbone which already gives me chronic pain. It could be larger and more rounded But the clincher is the display does not work. I opened 2 new packs of batteries and it never turned on. How do I get this replacement part?
When you buy an Echelon bike, you are given a trial period with the Echelon app. This app is glitchy and not nearly as fully-equipped as the Peloton app, and the price for membership is exorbitant. If you go onto the website to cancel the subscription, it of course doesn't work, but there's no indication either way as to whether the cancelation went through or not. It's a good thing I called their customer service line to cancel over the phone, because they told me my account was still active despite several attempts to cancel online. I'd have been charged nearly $700 at the end of the month! The man on the phone was helpful enough, but gave me about five different spiels about "promotions" they had going on to rope me back in. Every time I said "I just want to cancel," I was read another stock line about some other paid membership tier. The fact that they not only make cancelation through their site nearly impossible (if not entirely impossible), while making it seem like you CAN cancel online, paired with the number of times they try to rope you back in when you do call, tells me that this company is shady as can be. AVOID AVOID AVOID.
I have multiple bikes and bought a new EX5s. It has had nothing but problems and customer service says they will get back to me and never does. Terrible service!
