If you’re looking for experienced, polite and expert staff to help you book and enjoy your vacation then do not book here. You can tell this company is not use to dealing with higher end clientele as they are disorganized and don’t have a clue how to cater to high paying customers. The homes were not all that for what they charge. We will stick to vacationing in the islands or the Mediterranean since the prices equate to what they charge here. Also, asked for an hour late check out time. They refused. Anyone who travels regularly all over the world and stays at 5 star luxury hotels knows that the cost should match the treatment and amenities (that’s what we pay for, after all, instead of choosing a holiday inn). This place does not delivery. One bath towel and one wash cloth per person? Seriously? At the beach where you shower twice a day sometimes. Wow thanks. Love doing laundry 3 times a day. I’ve never in my life heard of such a thing. No water bottles in the rooms or kitchen upon arrival after a 12 hour travel day? Never heard of this either. How thoughtful. I guess Most people drive here from near by communities. Big mistake coming in from Los Angeles. My bad. Didn’t have room to pack arrival waters and snacks. Fully expected manners in the south and a small welcome gift called water. No snacks, welcome basket, chips, assortment of anything waiting? Again, never heard of it. A simple hand written welcome note does wonders. Take note five star, I’m teaching you a few things. Doors impossible to lock on balconies, third floor air conditioner not working properly and had to have someone change a filter the first day (do they do qualify checks before renting out for tens of thousands of dollars to paying customers?). Bathroom doors that don’t lock (privacy anyone?). If you’re a gold star and high net worth traveler, stay away from this place. It will only irritate you knowing how great things should and could be. This company doesn’t know any better so it sadly doesn’t meet expectations or standards. This company should stick to renting 4 bedrooms out to 20 people who can only afford $500 a person for a week. Going the extra mile to make customers feel taken care of is not this their forte. We will never return. My husband is in the film business and we refer lots of talent and other industry folk to various places we’ve enjoyed. This will not be on the list. Classless.
Montana was fabulous from the moment she took my original call to the next day when she called me back to complete the booking. I had lots of questions and wanted to make sure this was the right home for our beach vacation. She has excellent sales skills and her customer centric mindset bled through during our entire conversation. I highly recommend giving her a call for your next beach getaway!!!
On time and awesome houses!
To begin with, these pictures are outdated, just like the decor. There are few if any places to store your clothes. Some of the bedroom furniture in the photos does not exist. The living room furniture is dirty and outdated. The patio furniture is not the same. The table we had was an old wrought iron high top that was super run down and uncomfortable. The bathroom tubs in the two masters looked dingy and beat up. I realize that people rent this every week and it probably takes a beating but try to keep it up. The main kitchen refrigerator only works at night. The temp increases throughout the day there is a small fridge now in the cramped dining area and wine fridge that does not work at all in a bedroom? We called and NO ONE FROM 5 star returned our calls. Everyone else in our condo got complimentary beach chair rental - we did not. If your brining your beach gear, be warned that you have to put all of your stuff behind the beach chairs from the company - that’s 3 rows of chairs btw. If you do not call the minute your window opens to get beach chairs (like midnight) you will get locked out and be in the third row. Our beach chair code did not work at first. We had to get a new one in order to reserve chairs. Our door code did not work at first. Tough reality when all of your luggage is at the door. You also have to go 20 minutes away to get your fobs that are just for the beach - why cant those be waiting in the condo to avoid one more thing to do when you check in? If all you care about is a place to crash ( and you have slept in a cheap motel) to see the beach then this place is fine. If you want a little more, even just a little, this place is not for you. It’s not big ( we had 8 people). Rent something else and do not use 5 star - Compass is on site and more helpful. The beach is beautiful and the area is okay but we will NOT RETURN to this condo.
We stayed at Crystal Dreams in Destin. The condo is gorgeous and spacious. It is 2 stories and has 2 balconies with beach views and plenty of sitting areas for relaxing when not at the beach. It is in the heart of Destin. The building is only 6 stories so you don't spend time waiting for the elevators. I highly recommend this condo.
...The house we rented was awesome! It was beautifully decorated and with three king bedrooms, accomodated our family with grown children really well. The kitchen was stocked to the max and the only thing missing were some oven mitts. The barbeque grill outside allowed us to cook family meals. The bikes we had were a bunch of fun for the whole family but also provided constant transportation for our teenagers to get around the community. There were lots of towels and the house was super clean! I'd rent this house again in a heartbeat. It made our family vacation wonderful.
Was in Destin area on business. We needed a large home to accommodate individual bedrooms for all attending. The house was very clean and offered all the amenities needed for our stay.
Bliss vacation rental cancelled our vacation due to the condo being "sold". Apparently when I called there were no other options to accommodate our vacation. When searching their website I found a comparable options that was slightly more expensive. They stated they would never give us that offer due to the pricing being so high. They never even offered me a chance to even possibly book with that rental. Thats poor business and I do not recommend this company anymore.
Be aware. They cancelled my reservation because the homeowner withdrew from their program. I had booked over Christmas so now I’m left with no Christmas vacation because everything else in my budget is already booked. For a luxury vacation rental company they have awfully poor customer service.
We spent a 3 day weekend in one of their property called "Not the Norm" and it was stellar. If you want a large beach home in the perfect location contact these folks. They manage many properties in the area. Not a cheap stay but the bang for the buck is there. We tripped a GFCI somewhere in the house. After searching, we called (no hold) and a tech was their within 30 min and he found and reset the GFCI. Towels are wrapped up in nice bundles, everyone slept well, tons of seating, plenty of wifi bandwidth. My only knocks are on the outside: Outdoor seating is limited and not on par with neighboring homes or what I'd expect in a home so spectacular in other ways. The pool area does need better lighting. Another review mentioned this and they were right. The pictures online represent the property accurately. Golf cart is great for quick runs to the store or sightseeing.

All of the positive reviews must be fake. This is the worst company to work with.
We arrive at house promptly at 4pm (no early check-ins) only to find we didn't have access code in email. call the office and they told me i had to fill out consent forms (which i had already done) so i fill them back out and wait....finally at 4:45 i have codes. House was beautiful however we had 3 people fall hard and injure themselves on the patio by back door of pool area. The tile was very slick...so beware! The pool alarm was super annoying as well. I'm also not sure that this house isn't haunted...second floor bedroom by steps the ceiling fan lights would randomly turn on in middle of the night and our tv would turn off and on randomly...scary stuff. Pool area is top notch but def. needs a fridge or something out there so you don't have to go all the way up to second floor. Other than that it was a great vacation. Hopefully construction gets finished soon on 98 because getting out of that place was a nightmare

I really wanted to respond to the poor unfortunate woman who got totally screwed because the property she had rented was sold by the owner she rented from to an entirely new property owner. The new owner was and is legally obligated to honor all future bookings, and while I don’t encourage legal remediation…that’s BS!!
RENTERS BEWARE! This was the worst condo we have ever stayed in. We stayed in the Utopia condo at silver shells. It should have never been rented!! To start we had no hot water and the place was so dirty. I complained immediately and never heard from anyone. It is advertised as sleeping 6 people and it CANNOT. The pull out couch was broken and had pee on it. The people who stayed beside us said they rented the property in may for Memorial Day and it had all the same issues. Therefore they continued to scam people into renting this condo all summer. By the way the condo does not have beach chair rentals as advertised and when I called they acted like I was crazy and said silver shells would not let them put up their chairs on the beach. The neighbors felt sorry for us that we got scammed into renting the condo. It is NOTHING like the description or pictures posted online. When maintenance finally came they said the hot water system needed a part and they would be back the next day. They never came back. Five star was the worst to work with. They claimed they have not received any information on the hot water being broken or the condition of the condo which was a lie because the people beside reported all the same things and asked for a different condo and they would not grant it. I will never stay with this company again! I have pictures of the condo but it will not let me post them
The condo, Palms of Dune Allen, was very clean and comfortable in every way. Loved the location right on the ocean. Skillets needed to be replaced. Also for a group of 6 we could have used more glasses. 2 wine glasses was all we could find. Beds were nice. Loved the fresh linens and towels. Very poor TV reception. You might say NONE. Internet was good. Mirrors gave the living area a very spacious feel. Overall it was comfortable for 6 adults.
If I could give this a negative star I would. Since checking in the trouble started. Rooms not clean, air conditioning went out several times, TVs didn’t work for 3 days, furniture covered in dog hair, management 2 days late with repairs, shower heads broken, mildew everywhere etc. Don’t be fooled by pics they’re outdated. Stay far away!
This management company sucks. Overpriced and seeling lies. Mellinia by the sea picture didn't match reality. The house is ran down, pool is falling into the ocean literally, wasps nest on all the porches so you couldn't go out an enjoy. To top it all off there was confusion about the days booked and they freaking called the cops and locked us out the house. Stay away from this company for sure!

Aug 19,2022We rented "Reunions." The house and property were not clean. The pool and surrounding area were dirty when we arrived and not serviced the entire time we were there. The upstairs porch and porch swing outside the MBR was unusable due to the collection of dead plant debris from unattended potted plants. The furniture in the living area was so dirty we spread towels out to sit. I didn't call 5-Star to tell them this because that's not my job --- the least they can do, which they didn't do, is see to it, at this price, that the house is very clean. There may be a hint on this site however about the interest level of this management company. The house advertises as suitable "for 14 people." There is a review from a group that recently left --- 22 people!! I had two questions into 5-Star before we arrived and asked for an answer in advance of arrival, but never heard from them. Not a 5-Star experience for $14K. Would not use again.
