The property was beautiful and well-maintained. Absolutely no complaints at all about the Home. Would love to rent it again! Our only problem was the beach rentals company. Chairs & umbrellas were never set up on time including the additional ones we paid for. Several days we had to set them up ourselves. And the manager was extremely rude. I would rent the house again but bring my own chairs.
Chris was amazing to work with. Rented us a beautiful property. When a small issue arose he was quick to respond and walk us through what needed to be done. We had a great experience and will absolutely rent again!
FSP/Bliss Beach Rentals personnel come when you call and we were grateful! But, we should not have had to call after paying $10,162.80! There were two safety issues upon entering the property: broken fencing around the pool and broken, screws-exposed ladder in bunk room. Bryant, great attitude maintenance man came day of and worked to resolve to our satisfaction. The AC struggled to cool, one washer failed to drain (did not get fixed), picture and office management verification of three refrigerators on site were inaccurate. We purchased food that needed all three appliances and Bryant brought in portable coolers to help. While the place had a nice smell, there was prior resident garbage left in the cabinet behind the trash cans and peeling ceiling areas, scuff marks and dirty floors near walls and thresholds. There were other little things not maintained like mildew in two bathrooms and 2 toilets that had to be repaired before flushing properly. The beach access point given to us with code was not the nearest to our home. Therefore, Beach Service was set up very far for the 32 of us (13 children) to walk. We knew the Adonis home was ‘a walk’ already to the Miami Beach Access but then to be told we had to use the Holiday Rd access was disappointing. We needed the Beach Service and was unable to get what we paid for without a hardship on our family. This issue and the lack of the third fridge ‘promised’ is why we will not rent the Adonis home again. The good about the Adonis home is the space, layout of the home; the pool (perfect for children with adults!); the open kitchen, fully stocked kitchen matched number of people they advertise it can hold; the grill worked perfectly, plenty of gas; plenty of electrical outlets; only one smart tv and one dvd player; ping pong table nice for our family tournament; furniture comfortable and kid/vacation friendly.
Our family rented the Mai Tai home for our recent beach vacation. We were extremely pleased with the house and our experience with the rental agency. The house was beautiful and comfortable. We loved having a pool and easy beach access. The rental agency personnel were very courteous and addressed all our needs. We highly recommend!

First of all let me say the location, views and beach access were all that was promised. It was lovely. And the house had great space for hosting a family vacation. The presence of an elevator to help transport bags to the third floor was great. The community pool about a minute walk away was wonderful. It's obvious the house was once beautiful and luxurious. But it’s tired and has not been well maintained. It’s understandable that the ocean climate presents challenges to house maintenance but it could be kept in better condition. The house was surprisingly dirty even considering that keeping sand under control is very challenging. The baseboards were grimy and dusty throughout the home and floors appeared to have a hasty vacuum effort. Certainly behind lamp tables and under furniture hadn’t seen a cleaning in a while. Food was stuck to the floor under the bar stools. There was a used towel left behind in master bath. The refrigerator was in horrible condition. It was dusty, moldy and the freezer was set so high icicles were formed inside. It just needs to be replaced. I did call the real estate agency and noted that the house wasn’t very clean and they offered to send housekeeping back out. I declined as we did not want our vacation interrupted with a housekeeping crew and we also had a baby in the house with us. Turns out we got an interruption anyway. The previous renters had complained of a lack of air getting to the bedroom on the main floor and we arrived to discover a portable air conditioner present in the room with a large hose out the window, not sealed very well and allowing warm air to enter the home. HVAC repairmen arrived unannounced on Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. to address the issue. After cutting a hole in the ceiling leading in to that bedroom they decided it was a much larger repair that would require going through the kitchen ceiling. Obviously that couldn’t happen while we were occupying so after an hour they closed up the hole they made, sealed the window better and left. I will say they were polite and did a good job cleaning up after their work. Later on Sunday I called about the fact that we couldn’t lock the outside door to the lower level laundry room so the house couldn’t be secured. Without any instruction I wasn’t aware that it had a three point lock so just turning the deadbolt didn’t work. A simple note attached to the door inside with instructions on how to operate the lock would be helpful to renters. The nice maintenance person that arrived in the afternoon showed me how to use the lock but also noted it was quite sticky. So he decided to lubricate the lock. In the process it fell apart and he determined it actually needed a new lock. As a temporary fix he did something (which required my assistance in holding some bolts on one side while he worked on the other side of the door) that resulted in the securing the door but made it impossible to unlock. Said he would be back Monday to fix. He called me Monday and advised that they had decided it needed a whole new door, which would take days to acquire. So we could not use that door all week to enter/exit the home to the grill and outdoor shower. A few minor irritations: the garage door remotes in the kitchen drawer didn’t work so to close the garage when departing you had to manually use the keypad on the outside of the garage door, the towel service did not include any bathmats, the beach chair service was a nice amenity but the vendor could not be counted on to have the chairs out by 9 as promised. Bottom line, the weekly rent for this home was at a level that our expectations were high for quality and those expectations were not met.
We booked with five star at Henderson Beach Villas #8. The view was spectacular. The villa was clean. The rooms were small and decor was just ok. The beds were comfortable. The parking was horrible. The management was not helpful.
This is the second time we have used Five Star Properties. They were great at accommodating us. Top notch!
Unit needs a deep clean and a complete inventory of required items by the rental company need to be put into the unit. Replacement of ALL kitchen items needs to be done they have so many mismatched pots, pans, etc...old worn out utensils...the list is long! ALL major kitchen appliances were very dirty inside and out. Living area furniture is all stained along with bar stools.Note: Master bath: Black mold in shower, toilet was broken all week even with 2 attempts at repairing, exhaust fan was super loud instead of repairing they just disconnected it, linen closet door does not shut. Hall bath: no bath tub drain stop, toilet holder is rusty and old, ceiling is cracking. Hall smoke alarm is hanging off the wall. Vacuum was broken they delivered a new one. We were all sneezing so I vacuumed the unit the entire vacuum canister was packed full of dust when I finished! Multiple light bulbs out. Grills are ALL broken at the St. Maarten building!!!!! Tennis courts and basketball court are under repair so you cannot use! Planes fly over the building starting at 7:00am everyday!!!!! Will not ever rent through Five Star or rent at Silver Shells again!
First time writing a review but felt compelled to do so. Second time renting this property, last year no problem…what a difference a year makes! This place was infested with roaches, Five Star eventually responded to our complaints and sent a pest control company to spray, by that time we had killed over twenty in the kitchen alone, we were told they were German Roaches? My granddaughter had one of the larger variety crawl over her when she was in bed….disgusting place, be warned!
House was very nice… furnishings very disappointing. The helicopters overhead every 10 minutes were so loud ! I won’t return to that area.
Great visit! Just a wasp problem out backs d it wouldn’t hurt to spray for mosquitos. Couch needs cleaned and baseboards need to be cleaned. But overall loved location near beach and pool.

We stayed in the Verona property and absolutely loved it! It exceeded expectations on all levels! Not to mention Five Star Properties was incredibly responsive and very professional! I would definitely rent from Five Star again, they are top notch!!
Nothing bad to say about working with Five Star Properties. Rental process was easy and they were there to help answer questions quickly along the way. Office staff were great to work with on the phone and we will absolutely rent through them in the future!
Semi True Story-Great house except for two things. The bunk room was only accessible thru iffy elevator (one of the doors was not easily closed) and then thru garage or going outside. This was not revealed thru the description which made it not so desirable for children. It would be a good idea to inform renters of this. Also, the description of bunk room said that each bunk has a flat screen tv. It does NOT have TVs in each bunk. PLEASE update your description to keep from having disappointed visitors!
Rental company did not respond to questions posed prior to reservation. They also weren’t helpful with my effort to retrieve some items left behind in the house. But the house itself is a good option for a dog-friendly beach rental.
We’ve used Five Star Properties several times in the past for rental housing in the Destin, FL area and it remains our first place to go when looking for vacation rentals.
BALI ZEN Bali Zen was not what I expected since I paid over 10 grand to stay here. First, they kept giving us the wrong codes to get into the house and we got in late. Then, we were told we can’t use the golf cart. Also the hot tub is colder than the actual pool and there is no switches for it. There were tons of bugs, cockroaches, the place wasn’t bombed. The toilet wouldn’t flush downstairs so we had to have a repair guy come and switch it out. There is no game room that was mentioned in the amenities previously. It was beautiful but was definitely not worth the price.

Aug 25,2021DO NOT RENT WITH THIS COMPANY.I have had a rental house booked through this company since April of this year. It was for my best friend's bachelorette weekend. They emailed me 9 days before check-in telling me that the owners had sold the house and the new owners were not renting. I am now stuck trying to find a rental property in Destin, FL for 15 people during Labor Day weekend. I am unhappy and disappointed, to say the least. They then had the audacity to include two options for alternative housing. One was 30 minutes outside of Destin and one was $8,000+ over the cost of the original rental house. I understand that they do not have control over someone selling their house, HOWEVER they could have handled this situation in a better fashion. One, they could have offered to cover the difference in cost for a new property, and two they need to include in their contracts with the homeowners that they must give ample notice that they are selling their house in order to give the renters a more advanced notice. Giving them 1 star because I can't give zero. Also I would check out their Facebook page to see some honest reviews about how they have done this very exact thing to numerous people.
