Because there was travel restrictions i had to put my holiday on hold. It means that the ticket I had bought to go on my holiday was no longer valid. Max was so helpful, professional and patient when I was looking to purchase two return flights to San Francisco yesterday. Thank you, I shall certainly recommend your services, and Flight Trotters to my family and friends.
Last week I used JETCOST search engine to find a flight, selected one through FlightTrotters travel agency, and was not concerned because the difference in price from what the airline offered was not that big (approx. $50 difference). As soon as I completed the reservation, I received an email from FlightTrotters asking me to call them. They requested $200 more money for the fare, I refused and asked them to cancel the reservation, they requested $100 cancellation fee, I refused and told them it was a scam, and eventually they agreed to a full refund. However, the next day they called to tell me they could not cancel the reservation, but if I paid $45 they could cancel the flight. I told them I was done with FlightTrotters, and I hung up. I have advised my credit card company of this scam. As I am reading reviews about these two companies online, and seeing so many similar complaints, I am now wondering if JETCOST is in cahoots with FlightTrotters, and if so, both companies should be avoided at all cost. If JETCOST is a legitimate search engine company, then it should drop FlightTrotters, and any other travel agency that try to scam the public.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - THEY ARE A COMPLETE SCAM, UNREASONABLE AND UNETHICAL. They will refuse to stand by their own terms and conditions to provide a refund before receiving any flight tickets. After booking with them I did not receive any order confirmation or flight tickets until a whole 24 hours afterward. In the meantime, within 9 hours I had cancelled my booking for a flight 2 weeks in advance due to developing coronovirus symptoms and unforeseen family circumstances which had caused me bad mental health symptoms. In their terms it states that cancellation must be given before receiving any e-tickets which I had done. I cancelled at 9pm in the evening of booking and did not receive any tickets until the following day in an email to which they pretended not to have seen my cancellation. Upon receiving my cancellation they pretended not to see my email and they then wrongly stated that they were 're-sending' the tickets in attempt to abdicate responsibility to provide a refund. This is because in their own terms and conditions it says you must cancel before receiving any email tickets which is what I did. They have been completely unreasonable and repeatedly refused to refund any of my money for flights I am unable to go on despite UK law stating otherwise. I am now having to report them to my credit card agency, financial ombudsman and will be seeking the assistance of a small claims solicitor should I still not be able to retrieve my money. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS **UPDATE** I have been assured by American airlines who are operating my flights that they are in fact FULLY REFUNDABLE however Flight Trotters are outright REFUSING to contact American Airlines to obtain my refund which is against my contractual rights as their customer. I have also been repeatedly denied the opportunity to speak to a manager at flight trotters regarding this. American Airlines have even left notes on my account against the conduct of Flight trotters and their denial to allow me to access my refund. Flight Ref : FT974978
Cheeky website, two tickets to Mahe cost 1025 pounds so I booked 2 tickets and then I get a message that I need to contact customer service as my booking didn't go through. I did call them and then I've been told that I will have to pay 600 pounds more to buy them. JOKE! After I was complaing that this is to much as same tickets cost 1290 on Emirates website. Then I've been told that the best they could do is around 1400 pounds. Still much more than on emirates website. I'm not the first one experiencing this kind of tricky behaviours with them So don't be surpriced if thats happend to you. I've just bought them tickets on Emirate website for 1290.
I purchased my return ticket with my visa and several hours later they call to say I have to pay several hundred dollars more for my return flight. This is disgusting and should not be allowed. Thankfully I was able to cancel card, but hugely inconvenient. Beware of this Company
The flights donot exist at all. I found a cheap flight and immediately booked it and received an email only to see it hasn’t been confirmed and I ring them up and they tell me the flight isn’t available and offered me a more expensive one. These are scummers and fish people. Imagine I went to the airport to find out last minute I didn’t book a flight. Worst service
Fraudeur, me jamais acheter avec eux ! Ils vendent des faux billets et vous rappelle pour vous dire que le vol n'est plus disponible et vous en vendent un autre, nous garantissant qu'il est échangeable annulable, finalement pas du tout ! Aucune confirmation pour vol et pour remboursement. Me répond pas au courriel. Service pitoyable, du jamais vu !
Great service by the operator I was in contact with (Sidney) but using search engines that offer one price and then going to a 3rd party was rather tedious. Having to pay extra for my return flight with baggage and the 18 hour wait in Madrid I will never do again.
