This company needs to be closed the owner Mario is a scam artist he sold my girl a car 2021 malibu with 60,000 miles on it , she wanted the Durango but Mario said the finance company will only finance her a car under 100,000 miles and a newer car so it will have warranty. The first day check engine light on and is still on transmission slipping in first gear mind you we put down 3,500. Mario also wanted the sale so bad he basically falsified her income and told her to tell the company certain things to get approved. Mario is a scam do not go there he wouldn't even fix the transmission which was slipping on the first day the second day we came back he said he will pay for the part that needs to get fixed but we have to pay labor mind you the part is 300 + 100 core charge and he gave her a 200 written check and 100 cash . We went to try to get it fixed the labor is $600=$1000. He refuses to swap us out a car within the first 5 days come to find out the paper work says the bank has no warranty on the car but he says somebody or company name weiner will cover up to $1000 warranty. This was the worse car sale of my life I hope they get what they got coming for them and get shut down for scamming people and lying

I understand Freedom Motors (FM) is in business to make a profit. In my opinion charging over $850 for 2 replacement keys on a 2012 F150 is highway robbery and unethical. This price, for a retired person is really a hardship. FM knows there is no other place to go to have this type of work done so FM has the market cornered. I have been more than satisfied w/the service of the truck - it has served me well. I can remember when Ford stood for Fix or Repair daily, but this type of cost will prohibit me from dealing w/ FM in the future

Be very careful if you plan to purchase a vehicle Freedom Motors converted. We bought a new van from a Chicago dealer that was previously converted to make it handicap accessible This is a Kneevan with the rear manual ramp. While converting, they welded many plates very close to AC lines causing friction and wear over time. This was sloppy work resulting in a flawed product. It didn't happen overnight, but we've had issues with our rear air for years. I sent the photos documenting the damage and they are refusing to fix or pay to have this issue resolved. I am very sorry I bought a product they converted. Buyer beware!

What a huge disappointment! The initial conversations and virtual tour were very exciting. However, I’m still waiting for someone to contact me either by email or phone regarding my application. Not as professional as they look. I guess it’s good to shop around, and not put all your eggs in one basket. It pays to be courteous throughout the entire process, whether it’s favorable or not.

I spent $85,000 for a 2022 Toyota Sienna conversion. We realized too late that Toyota dealers won't service the conversion van. We have had multiple electronic problems with blind spot monitors, cross track motion sensors and an emergency brake sensor. The company will not respond to my demand for a trade in or return. Avoid Freedom Motors. I wish I had known the problems we would have.

My 9 yr. old daughter is terminally ill and in a wheelchair. Recently our last wheelchair vehicle was totaled, and Freedom Motors had one that we liked and bought, and took delivery on 9/27/23. In fairness to them, there were good aspects of the experience – our salesperson Dominic was friendly and courteous, explaining things well and was communicative as the build process developed, which I appreciated. The process unfolded as he described, and the closing process was easy and completed quickly. And upon delivery, having not actually laid eyes on the vehicle yet, I was delighted that the quality of the mods appeared to be better than our last one (from another mfr.). So all of this was great, and until closing I would not have hesitated to recommend Freedom Motors to my friends, family, or the rare disease non-profit and community we work with. However…at closing I learned that I had been lied to. As we were evaluating vehicle options, we saw the MSRP on the one we eventually bought was $43,720 [from the factory; before any modification work]. Upon later selecting that vehicle, I was surprised to see that the asking price was $46,380 - $2,660 more than MSRP for a new vehicle already ~1 model year old. I asked about it and was told that FMI does not mark up the vehicles in their inventory, they do pass-through pricing on these and the company’s profit made is in the conversion. Further, due to the state of the car market, these vehicles (Palisades & Tellurides, specifically) had been selling above MSRP and that’s just what the market was, so I could take it or leave it. Although I didn’t love that, car valuations had been elevated post-Covid and the rest of the experience had been good, so I trusted them and accepted it at face value. Upon closing the deal and doing the title paperwork, I was upset to see in the original papers (from a dealer in Ohio) that the actual purchase price by FMI was only $42,396. So instead of passing through their purchase price as I was committed to, it was actually marked up from below MSRP that they paid to above MSRP for me – a $3,984 markup and more importantly they dishonestly did the exact opposite of what I was told. You can understand my disappointment and frustration at this ethical violation in business practice. Either my salesperson lied to me, or maybe he was lied to by his management and unknowingly passed on false information that he thought was true. Before I posted a review, I informed their customer service dept. on 10/10/23 to allow for a timely response as I understand that it’s impossible to know what every employee is doing at all times. Their Sales VP, Justin, called me to discuss it on 10/12/23 and left a voicemail. I called him back the very next day and left a message that was never returned. I followed up with a text on 10/20/23, which has also never been returned as of a week later. In sum, I would avoid dealing with anyone who deceives their customers then becomes unresponsive after they have your money. If you do choose to do business with them, beware of anything you are told and ensure you verify what you're told and get everything possible in writing.

I purchased a brand new vehicle this year(2023) & was not advised that I had to drive the vehicle daily-until I received the vehicle in my possession. The vehicle has been a problem from May until now & there was no solution offered to assist me. The sales person lied, said he informed me & HE DID NOT!!! If you are NOT going to drive daily, be cautious before buying!!!! I hope this review helps others Buy your wheel chair conversion in your state

It really saddens me to share this, because I’m still in disbelief how badly my family and I were treated by this “family owned business.” I hope to spare anyone else from going through the same experience Pay attention to the negative reviews and the BBB complaints, you’ll see a pattern with this company. When complaints or problems arise, they cut off all communication rather than providing customer service. My husband is a disabled police officer, injured in the line duty, and we are in need of a wheelchair accessible vehicle. We loved the vehicles this company builds. From the vehicle brands they select, to the rear entry design, we believed we had found the vehicle for us. We were working with sales rep Dominic, and we had chosen a specific vehicle. He located the vehicle, in the shop, and provided us with a video walk-around, even noting minor problems that were being repaired, on this “ new” vehicle. Side note they don’t fix any recalls on the vehicle ps they have because it “takes too much time”, even if it’s a fire hazard recall! I asked if they give law enforcement discounts. Dominic texted ( knowing which vehicle we wanted) “I have a $2000 LE/ Service member discount that I will apply to WHATEVER you choose”. We were thankful, since we had to take money out of our home equity to afford this vehicle. Even though it’s not a purchase we wanted to have to make, we were excited to find this vehicle. Dominic then began drawing up a contact for the vehicle; and less than ten minutes after he gave us the discount, he called to say he would not give the discount. He explained that the vehicle was discounted to start with and he would not honor the 2,000 he promised. He said they don’t usually discount vehicles. I pointed out most vehicles on their site are discounted, and reminded him he said the discount would apply to “whatever” we choose. I could tell he didn’t like being confronted with facts and was getting angry with me because I thought they should keep to their word. Buying a 60,000 vehicle, unseen, I need to trust the seller and his word. He got angry, because I said I felt I needed to be dealing with someone I could trust and was true to their word. I asked to speak with his supervisor, and he refused to arrange that. I called and left a message for his supervisor, who never called. I called again, and the secretary told me I couldn’t speak with a supervisor, manager, owner or anyone, And she wasn’t sure if they’ll call me, because I said I would write a negative review. At this point I was crying, we really needed and counted on getting This vehicle. My husband called, because we got money out to purchase this vehicle and need it soon, because his wheelchair is coming. They cut off all communication. I started to look at business reviews on Google, Yelp, and the BBB. I saw many complaints about this same behavior occurring when people have problems with vehicles they purchased from Freedom Motors. We dodged that bullet. If you buy from here, I hope you don’t need to complain and nothing is wrong with your vehicle. They don’t want to deal with real people and do not want to be held to their word.

Do NOT buy a car from this company. I am In NJ and bought a Chevy Traverse for $73,000 thousand dollars. We had the man Tom come out to our home and show us the vehicles. When I asked how do they put the lock-ins for the wheelchair he said we do it right here in my driveway. I was So happy. We get the vehicle delivered and when I asked when do you come to put the lock ins in Tom said we have to locate a place nearby????? So now that was a lie You said here? He said he has 2 places both 2 hrs away and they need the wheelchair with my son in it and they can’t do on Saturday’s. So that’s 4 hrs travel and 5/6 hrs to install with a teen who has Duchenne MD??? are you kidding me?? Braun and Rolex do it at your home. My son is in HS I need the vehicle during the week. They have yet to get it done it’s been 7 months. NOW the muffler broke it was put in wrong we had it fixed and they reimbursed me but NOW the transmission is slipping and the sunroof is leaking. We brought it to our Chevy dealer and they do not have an accessible van to loan us while the vehicle is there for a week or more getting fixed. They said call Freedom Motors and have them reimburse us for a rental vehicle while the car got fixed. I called and they don’t do that?? Freedom Motors could care less. Justin the GM promised us up and down the lock ins would be done within in a month. Our son is in a clinical trial in Philadelphia and goes to school everyday we need a vehicle. We haven’t heard from Justin at all. We wrote a letter to the company and received no response. 73,000 thousand dollars. This Isn’t how anyone should do business. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!! I was fooled and now we are paying for it. TO THE HANDICAPPED COMMUNITY DO NOT BUY FROM THEM THEY DO NOT CARE. AWFUL!!!

I used Freedom Motors(FMI) for a manual conversion of my van. I previously had a manual conversion by another company. I never heard a sound from my old van; no muffler noise or rattle from the Q'straints. Both vans are rear entry conversions. The FMI conversion van had a noisy muffler from day 1 of conversion and the Q'straints rattle over every small bump. The length of the front Q'strsint is not long enough to attach from the rear compartment; the old van did. To attach, I have to drape myself over the middle seat. It's not very convenient on a good day and then add cargo/groceries in the middle seat, and rain, wind and bitter cold with your butt literally hanging out the side of the van. I knew the original middle seats would be replaced but was not until delivery that the seats do not move or recline. Overall I'm disappointed with the result and know that they could have installed different Q'straints to eliminate the rattle and refused to rectify without additional cost.

My experience with Dale Burns with Freedom Motors was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and asked all the right questions to make sure I was getting the proper vehicle so I could transport my mother who is wheelchair restricted. He kept me informed every step of the way and explained the entire process. He also provided me a video walk around of the vehicle which was very helpful since I was in Arizona and he is in Michigan. The delivery of my vehicle was on time and Dale made sure I knew I could contact him if there were any questions after delivery. Great service & very caring staff. Thank you!!

I started my search for my little brother’s modified wheelchair accessible vehicle last September 2020. I reached out to so many different dealerships and basically was told here is our site with our inventory if you find something you like call us back. Not with Freedom Motors a man by the name of Shaun assisted us over three months after me changing my mind several times about the vehicle I wanted. He was so patient and he stuck with us every step of the way! He even drove up a vehicle from MI to GA to allow us to test drive and see in person what a modified utility vehicle looked like. Well to make a long story short we end up purchasing a new 2020 Traverse rear entry vehicle that was recently delivered! Myself and my little brother are in love with our purchase! I would recommend to anyone looking for a wheelchair modified vehicle to use Freedom Motors but don’t forget to ask for Shaun he will not disappoint! He genuinely cares and he made us feel like it was much more than a sale for him(that goes a long way especially during the times we are in Shaun embodied what Customer Service is). Every dealership needs a “Shaun” and even after the sale was complete he followed up with a call ensuring that we were happy with the vehicle along with making sure if we had any questions he was still available to assist! Thanks to Shaun and Freedom Motors again! Signed A HAPPY CUSTOMER Debrah Woods

A big "thank you" to Mr. Ray Fosburg from start to finish. He was informative, knowledgeable and especially patient with my husband John and I while deciding what vehicle would fit our needs. He is definitely the right man for this job and we appreciated all his hard work and the time spent with us. Thanks again Ray! John & Sheri, Medina, OH.

My experience was all positive. My wife spoke with Ray on the phone, and the day after that he was actually in my driveway in Georgia with a vehicle to check out. Pretty great response by any measure. We found the vehicle we wanted online and Ray guided us through the process. He was also there to pick us up downtown when we came to Battle Creek pick our van up in person. He thoroughly familiarized us with the operation of the van, and even gave us a nice little tour around the operation there. I recommend Freedom Motors without reservation.

Good Day! I had originally wanted a Chevrolet Traverse to transport my daughter and the wheelchair. Mr. Ray Fosburg and I had talked on the phone and I thought he would be bringing one for me to see. Well he showed up with this really nice Kia Telluride to show my daughter and I and the wheelchair fitted just perfectly and she smiled at me and at Mr. Ray! If I could have bought that one, I would have but it was a demo. Fast forward...as I was taking my daughter to an appointment a few days ago, a Chevrolet Traverse drove past us, and then got in front of us. To my surprise, I was telling myself, "That Mr. Ray sure knew what he was doing when he showed me the Telluride because that there Traverse would not have worked out as far as room was concerned for the width of the wheelchair." If I had gotten the Traverse, it would have been a side-entry conversion. But with the Telluride, I have a rear-entry vehicle which makes it a lot easier to just push the wheelchair in. Plus, the Telluride is much wider than the Traverse. I have nothing wrong with the Traverse. It just would not have been the best fit for the wheelchair. So again, thank you Mr. Ray. And thank you Freedom Motors! It makes getting around town much easier. Mildred Davis

I have purchased two vehicles from Freedom Motors in the last five years and both transactions have been easy, very fair, and great to work with the sales reps. Dominic was very helpful in answering our questions and showing us our vehicle on line and helping us with transporting. I recommend Freedom Motors to anyone.

Well first of all Justin was not the person that spoke to me or had any contact with me what so ever. He never returned my e-mail. And not I am not satisfied- I understand depreciation of a vehicle and let me tell you this one sat in the garage every day- was not out in the weather, was hardly driven at all for 5 months due to a surgery and Covid so put very few miles on it compared to normal usage. So there is no way an addition of less than 4000 miles took a vehicle from $35,000 to $17,000 no matter what you say. It is still in the very same shape now that it was when I received it so other than a good cleaning and going over it- is ready for any other person to purchase it! I feel you are doing an excellent job selling to people that you can take advantage of but doing nothing to help afterwards! And lets not forget months trying to get any answer from anyone there- and that was AFTER Covid and opening back up! Very disappointed in this company- how can I vehicle go from a price of $35,000 to only worth $17,000 a year later- with only 3,000 miles added on to it. That doesn't say to much for the quality of your work to lose value like that. We desperately needed this vehicle and I believe that was and continues to be taken advantage of. I no longer need this van as my husband passed away but now at least I won't be upset to lose his van as I can't lose that kind of money that is still owed on this vehicle. Trying to figure out why vehicles older than mine on your website are selling for such a higher price while mine is worth so much less.
