I paid any extra $500 on my trip and still haven't recieve a refund. Everytime I call they just transfer me around then hang up on me. They have been saying my bank and I have got my bank and them on the line and they can't give me any real info on my $500.
Funjet booked an aircredit for myself and my family with United for $2961. My stage 4 cancer required chemo, radiation, and a stem cell transplant from Northwestern University in Chicago. I supplied documentation to Funjet and they denied me. Then I went to United and they granted the reimbursement but credited Funjet since they were the ones that booked it from my original payment. Have been on ph with Funjet 5 hrs multiple times and supplied them proof of United reimbursement and Dr notes. They are now saying they need to call the Hospital to verify my treatment happened. They are unethical and anyone and everyone should NOT use this company. They prey on sick people!
Funjet cancelled our resort reservation without warning, showed up to puerto rico and no room. Still waiting for response. Apparently this happened to a few people at the same time in our community. Still no word. Not impressed. Be very careful with these people. Customer service is dead....
The worst! I repeat the WORST! TRIED to fix a trip since Dec 2023..JANELLE PICKETT. They suck. I asked to remove 1 persons airfare.....an act of CONGRESS, still til this date nothing. The company...FUNJET TRAVEL...MORE LIKE BUYER BEWARE!
Fun jet is the worst company. Customer service is suck. They are scam. The flight was canceled. Airline refund $496 to Fun jet as a booking agency. Fun jet only refund $198 to customer . They keep the rest of refund. They denied they didn’t receive it even the airline send them many emails to confirm. DO NOT do any business with this name Fun Jet. They are Scammer.
We booked our vacation through Funjet who booked through American Airlines. Our first flight was delayed causing us to miss our connecting flight by 3 minutes. My husband and I ran through the airport to the gate after an attendant told us if we hurry we might make it. We were put on the next available flight with 4 seats which happened to be the next day,the last flight to Jamaica. We completely missed our first 24 hours on the resort. After filing a complaint with the airline, they need itemized bills from our vacation at the resort. I have been trying to get the information needed. I have filed multiple complaints with the aftertravel@funjet without any response. Very poor customer service. Talked with a representative who says they have emailed me with information to get what I need- no email!!
I booked a group flight on American Airlines through funjet and a name needed to be changed. Funjet was going to charge me the entire airfare to change the ticket, even though I had trip insurance. I called American and got it changed for $50. Funjet customer service is horrible and inconvenient to use. They will do anything they can to charge more money, Never again will I go thru them, I’m going straight to the carrier or through a legit travel agency. I have reached out to customer service several times and received a final response that I cannot change thru funjet without losing the amount paid for the tickets. I called AA and paid an extra 50 to have the name changed.
We book our Christmas new year vacation, and we had all inclusive hotel where we stayed at. We had so much fun, we enjoyed our stay. The flight was fine, the food at the hotel was incredibly delicious. Funjet took care everything for us, we didn't have to worry about anything. Thank you! Surely, we'll book with them again.
OMG, we were totally overpriced for our trip from Washington DC to Liberia, Costa Rica. The price was so high, we thought, because it was going to be "LUXURY".... it so was not. FYI, our so-called agents were with the EVERYTHING IRIE TRAVEL in Baltimore. There were 3 of us. The room was tiny - maybe 300 sf. There were only 2 small full sized beds (though they advertised queen size) so one of us slept on a cot all 4 nights. No privacy. The toilet door was see through - yes you could see right through to see someone sitting on the toilet. The all-inclusive resort – DREAMS - (even though very nice people working there) was totally low budget. Food was below average and drinks were abysmal. Not to mention all of the “perks” we were insured because we were “preferred” were totally misrepresented. We were so taken aback we did a little research. We contacted the DREAMS website to see what the room rates were and found out the HIGHEST price room was $800 and then we got on Orbitz to check out the flight prices. Even when entering dates to fly 2 days in advance the price was less than 500. So, do the math: 800 x 4 nights = 3200; and airfare 500x3 =1500 and we're charging the highest giving them the benefit of the doubt. Anyway, the highest price should have been about $4700. We included a 20% fee for them - $940 so total being about $5640. We paid DOUBLE that price. To add insult to injury when contacting FUNJET to get an itemization they gave us the runaround of course and offered NOTHING in the way of why we paid such a high price. Further investigating (called several numbers cause I wanted to feel better about being bilked) I found out that they Funjet/ALG vacations buy seats on airline and dates at the hotels and then assign whatever price they want. Our seats were like 2 seats up from the last row on the plane btw. They were so bad I wounded up paying extra money to upgrade.
My vacation was planned through another agency who used Funjet Travel to arrange. (I didn't realize Vacation Inspirations used another agency -- I thought they were the travel agent.). Funjet arranged my flight at the worse fare, and it was an economy flight and did not book my seats. It took WEEKS to change. Finally Vacation Inspirations got in touch with them, and of course I got the worse seats on the plane. I NEVER was able to reach someone at Funjet. The one time I did, after holding more than 45 minutes, she said she was not the right person and put me back on hold. They are terrible.
Only 1 star and I have not begun my vacation. Going for my brothers wedding in September and when we checked flight changes found that my last name is incorrect. I was told I had to cancel and rebook the entire trip for my portion which will be an additional $1830 on top of the $3474 already paid. I am not sure how this happened when my name has been the same for 30 years my mother completed the booking online. I pleaded to the agents to change it and the answer has been no! I purchased the travel insurance and if rebooked would have to repurchase that as well. I called Delta and they are willing to make the change if Funjet will add a remark to the system giving Delta permission to do so. Called again the answer was no only option is to rebook. Mistakes happen but not according to Funjet. Vacation ruined unless I find more money that I do not have truly will never use this company again! UPDATE EVENTS OF TODAY: FUNJET HAS REMOVED MY RESERVATION FROM MY ONLINE ACCOUNT Spoke with customer service I have 1 option cancel and rebook Trip booked in June rates have changed dramatically I am so distrustful in this company there are no words to describe what I am feeling! The response to this review is a joke! HOW DO THEY JUSTIFY REMOVING MY RESERVATION! The stress alone has been horrific Please read before booking its a money grab customer care is non existent
I will never use them again. We booked a group vacation (10 of us). We was suppose to get double beds, as I was sharing a room with another female. They put us in a room with a king size bed and a damn pullout sofa. All the money I paid I shouldn't have had to sleep in the same bed with someone nor sleep on a damn pullout sofa. Their dumbass reply was we aren't guaranteed double beds. What kind of crap is that. We should be guaranteed what we booked after paying OUR money. It was suppose to be a kid free resort, it was so many damn kids I thought I was at an elementary school. I requested some money back, they talking bout $100 credit. THATS BULL...I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN
GARBAGE COMPANY! DO NOT BOOK WITH FUNJET! We used a travel agent called TravelMation and they use Funjet for all inclusive packages and many other venders. We booked a trip through the travel agent/Funjet to Punta Cana DR and stayed at Be Live Collection Adults Only VIP. To our surprise this resort was closing its doors in 10 days and got bought out by the Hyatt! It was dirty, run down and the staff was awful! We were treated like crap at the front desk and when I asked a question the worker said to me “LIKE I SAID”! 😡. The room was run down! Our view was weeds and a fence with construction wrap on it. Remote’s didn’t work,safe didn’t work,bath didn’t work and the shower 🚿 fixture was falling off the wall. The hallways were not lit up and dark! Very unsafe! Elevator’s didn’t work! The roof damage was so bad and leaked everywhere that the smell of sewage from the leaks and god knows what else was enough to make you sick! The only swim up bar they had smelled like a porta potty 🚽!!! All employees there said they spoke no English and we could barely get any service! The food was disgusting and the all the drinks were a joke! Nothing was included like it should be in a all inclusive. You had to pay for all beers 🍻 except one draft beer. The bar liquor were watered down! I lost 4 pounds on this trip! My husband and I spent 4k on this trip and the first 3 days we spent trying figure out what to do or how to get service! Funjet sells packages for resorts that are definitely not what they say they are and I cannot believe how awful this was! Do not use Funjet! They will rip you off and lie to get your money!
I attempted to make a reservation online. I received a message that the site was having technical difficulties. I did not get a confirmation number but I saw a pending charge on my credit card. I called the Funjet number and the agent checked to see if I had a reservation. He said since I never received a confirmation number, the reservation was not made. He attempted to make the reservation on his end but he got the same message. After checking with his “support team” he said the site was not accepting reservations because the flight may be booked. He assured me my card would not be charged. He said he would call me the next day if something opened up but he never called. I booked my trip with AMR which is another company owned by AGL. I checked me credit card a couple of days later and Funjet did charge my card even though I never received a confirmation number and the agent telling me it would not be charged. I was on the phone for over 4 hours today with an agent who was giving me the run around about talking with her “support team.” I finally had to hang up but she said she would call or email me. I still have not heard from her. I am going to ask my credit card company to dispute the charge. I am guessing the next step is the BBB since I have no other contact numbers. Updated- I reached out to Funjet when they responded to my Trust Pilot review with an email. They refunded all of my money and I am happy with the resolution. My advice would be not to bother calling their customer service line and email them directly. I spent 4 hours on the phone with the customer service agent and she had no intention of helping me.
This place has to be the worst travel agency ever to exist!!!!! They messed our honeymoon to st lucia up and NOW they cancel our way home, leaving us stranded!!!!!! We will be suing this POS "company' once we get back our lawyers are on the job! This is absolutely 💯 ridiculous and I'm not having it! Beyond livid
DO NOT USE FUNJET!!!! This company is full of lies, scams, and terrible service! I was unable to go to a dear friend's wedding because I got covid. My friend and I paid $150 extra for travel insurance, that only amounted to travel credit that had to be used in 1 year! I managed to get my portion of the credit transferred to the bride for her reservation. Weeks after the wedding, the bride tells me the credit never got transferred to her reservation. They completely lied to me and when I confronted them about it, they said it had to go towards a "new reservation." Once again they lied because they never told me that. Best part is the bide and groom did go on an additional trip and they again did not apply my credit. After all this, I asked to have my credit be transferred back to the original credit card holder (my friend who I was supposed to share the room with) and they said they cannot transfer it to a new person. I have never been so frustrated and disappointed in a company in my life. If I could give them negative stars I would!
A girl named alexis gave a negative review on the site. Her one star review did not tell the whole story and it was an unfair indictment of the travel agent involved. She is a student and canceled a noncancelable trip after she confirmed because she never got approval from her parents to go. The travel agent worked with her for hours and got her a significant refund and a flight credit that she could use for that portion of the trip on Southwest Airlines at a future time. The girl wanted the other kids on the trip to pay for the money she would’ve been out. It’s unfortunate all around because it could’ve been avoided had she just been open with her parents in the first place. I felt a correction was needed.
I planned a trip on 12/29/2022 for my husband's 70th birthday to go to Juan Rio Grande, PR; however, Southwestern Airlines sent me an email informing us that our flight was canceled for three days due to bad weather in the North. Our trip was supposed to be for only three days because we had to get back to work. Also, that day was sunny and 60 degrees in Maryland. So, I contacted my agent to request my refund because I paid $259.98 for Travel Protection Plus -full travel credit. As of today, 01/20/2023, I have NOT received a full refund for a total amount of $4,176.50 for (Flights & Hotel). Now, the company wants me to wait 30 days. I have a problem with this company; taking people hard earned money does not seem right, and I will be speaking with Maryland Attorney General's Office at Phone: (410) 767-1861. I only want to hear from this company when you will send me my refund for this trip, and NO, I do NOT want to book another trip with your company.
Please whatever you do, do not book with FunJet!! I canceled my trip to Jamaica, and they tried to keep my money. When I tried to call them, they refused to talk to me and said they would only speak with my travel agent (who was also awful). I had to file a claim with the BBB just to get them to finally talk to me directly about the situation and give me my flight credit back. There is still a lump of money that they made me pay that is unaccounted for, and they refuse to give me detailed receipts of everything. Save your time, money, and energy and DO NOT book with them. They need to be investigated thoroughly. I would give them zero stars if possible.

First of all, it was almost $1500 more to book through them than directly with the resort. I bought travel protection. Due to a life-threatening medical condition that came up, I was advised by my doctor not to travel, and wow - the run-around I received in trying to cancel my (protected) reservation was insane. I provided letters from my physician and everything I could think of and they would not issue a refund. I kept getting transferred around with no one able to actually help me. Scam. Eventually, I had to just call my credit card and dispute the charge. DO NOT EVER USE FUNJET. They are not even accredited by the Better Business Bureau!
