Our travel agent was absolutely terrible. He did not respond to emails or calls for over a month. The resort we chose (based on his recommendation) was absolutely terrible. The staff was rude. Our rooms were incredibly far from the main part of the resort. It took us hours to get them moved closer. I would never ever ever ever go on a fun jet vacation ever again. My sister's daughter ended up testing positive for COVID-19 and it was an absolutely horrific nightmare trying to get her out of Jamaica do not ever use fun jet. The travel agent Jim Swendsen was HORRIBLE!!!!!!

I should have read the reviews before I booked through this company. I had a reservation in Florida for January of 2021. Due to covid, we canceled. Canceling in itself was a nightmare. I bought travel protection for the trip because I knew it was possible that it could be canceled. Spoke with a representative who told me I bought the wrong kind of travel protection, so I was not eligible to receive money back but issued travel credit for our next booking. The problem with that was I know I purchased the correct protection, but somehow they made it seem like I didn't. Either way, I'm okay with travel credit at this point. The representative on the phone told me we could rebook with credits until the new year (12/31/21 deadline). Well that was not correct, looking at rebooking with my credits.. credits aren't there and there's something on their email that now says "must be used by 12/1/21" and calling their customer service center is a complete waste of time and energy. They will tell you they can't help you and their supervisor won't speak to you. I quote "I can put you on hold for the supervisor, but he will see it and likely won't speak to you." What a joke. Please DO NOT give this company any of your money. You will lose it forever.

Update on April 7th, 2022 My refund of $1665.97 showed up on April 4th. It took seven months. _________________________ Update on March 17, 2022 It is now six months we have been waiting for a $1665.97 refund. One of the recommendations from the attorney was to file a complaint with the Attorney General of Texas. I was waiting since, on Feb 23rd, we got an indication that everything was straightened-out. Since the refund has still not shown up, I am going ahead and filing a complaint form. ________________________ Update on March 2, 2022 I got some help from an attorney. FunJet says they are processing the refund...but nothing yet. ________________________ Update on February 5, 2022 Will have to pay for an attorney at this point. Still no refund from Funjet. ______________________________________________ Update on January 22, 2022: The canceled reservation for the Aston Waikiki Beach was finally refunded earlier this month. We still have not received a refund for the $1665.97 we paid for the reservation at the Sheraton Kaua'i. So far, only excuses have been provided. We are around day 140 and waiting. I will keep updating here, including when we do get our refund. ______________ We had our travel agent book hotels for us for Hawaii during Summer of 2021. She used FunJet. We made sure they were cancelable because of Covid. At the time the Governor of Hawaii asked tourists to not come and their hospitals were getting full, we decided to cancel. Our agent has made many calls and we are now a week past the 90 day point. We are still waiting for our refund of several thousand dollars. We don't recommend FunJet.

We had a trip planned in August 2021. My first and last experience with funjet. The trip was during the issues with spirit airlines. They cancelled my flight 10 hours before my trip. Spirit refunded all my monies. Funjet has done nothing for the resort monies. I have insurance but because it shows I was a no show and funjet won’t list it as cancelled insurance won’t pay me or funjet won’t refund. I have written numerous letters to funjet and so has my travel agent

We had to cancel our trip to Hawaii last minute. Pamela at funjet was able to rebook us in a 72 hour timeframe. She worked numbers with me and helped me find something we wouldn't have to come out of pocket much for. We went to Aruba instead and had a wonderful time! Everything was smooth and no mishaps along the way! Definitely recommend!

I booked a vacation through funjet, and before the trip happened we had to cancel due to covid. We sent evidence to them and they forwarded to the hotel. Half a hear later the hotel approved the refund and waived all penalties, but funjet charged $50 per person and refused to waive their penalty despite proof that we canceled due to covid. Sounds like they encourage people to go anyway since they won't refund the money.

After 15 years of traveling and always booking my vacations with ALG, I cannot believe what this company has turned to. Sadly, but ALG (now owned by Hyatt) owns all travel companies such as cheapcarribean and applevacations. So when you think you are using their competitors, you're not, its all the same BS. Recently booked a package with funjet after 30 hours of booking I found out that airline does not have my flight on their schedule. I reached out to Funjet to confirm the changes or to make other arrangements but they assured me by email that there were no changes to my booked flight and all was in good order. 3 weeks after my inquiry with funjet my final payment was due. Shortly after they received my final payment they informed me of cancelled flights. Airline confirmed that the flights was never available and that they can't even offer an alternative flight for our return, therefore the airline agreed to a full refund. Which funjet denied and was telling me stories of how my air fare is not refundable. After airline agreed to refund due to their malfunctions, Funjet refuses to issue a refund for the land portion to my card. Funjet sold us a service which was not available at the time of booking, and refused to investigate this matter. Each CS rep acts like a robot with their memorized phrases "our policy is such and that" and provide consumers with false information. They don't provide valid emails and push consumers from area to area. Funjet refuses to investigate all documents that I have as a proof that the flight was not available prior to my payment for the trip. It appears that their current trend and policy are to sell unavailable or overbooked flights, and accuse you of an voluntarily cancellation. For which they will charge for. Beware!

I was booked into an all inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic that had been closed and boarded up for months. I was told the day before that everything was all set. Once I arrived I had to find a place to stay on my own. The hold time is well over two hours. I have yet to be reimbursed for my expenses and it’s been months.

IF I COULD PUT 0 STARS I WOULD! The worst experience, do not book! I had to get a refund issued because of a hurricane. I was happy with my service at first, they issued a full refund which should be returned in 30-60 day. They emailed me the receipt. I thought everything was good, WRONG! Last night after two week, I get a refund for less than half of my amount in my checking account. I have a receipt showing where the money should go back to my debit card and my friends because we paid separately. They sent me $408 I was suppose to get $876.66 my friend has received nothing to her account. They said they sent $276 of my funds to a card that is no long active which is what I told them when I canceled and why I was very vocal that it needs to go to my new debit card. Low and behold, the didn't listen refunded it to original cards so not half of my money is is ACH land or in someone else's bank account who knows. Worst experience, worst customer service, they cannot solve your problems and truthfully, I don't think they want to our intend to. Complete waste of my day and disrespectful of a client. They need to get their act together when dealing with peoples money!

Nothing but great experiences with Funjet. I used them a couple years ago and the trip went smoothly. I recently had to cancel another trip due to the airline changing my flight schedule. It did take about 90 days for a refund, though. No biggie.

I am a travel agent and the credits my clients had on a previous reservation were communicated that they would be moved and they were not. The assessed penalties and did not make my clients whole. I will no longer use them as a vendor and will be seeking legal counsel to rectify this situation.

Booked an all inclusive to Jamaica Riu in Ocho Rios for May 27th 2020 with my parents . Due to Covid the vacation was cancelled and my parents were compensated in 3 months . I was told payments were credited to my account in 2 separate payments, one in June 2020 and one in July 2020. I did not receive either. I went to my bank to pull up all my transactions and there was no record of either payment being made. I contacted Vacations To Go and was told to call Funjet , which I called on a regular basis ...was kept on hold for over an hour every time ,tenth call was disconnected $1200 is my hard earned money and I refuse to let them get away with this fraudulent event. I am writing this review to create a paper trail that will be used in court if need be

Please do not book with this company! I've never heard of this company and the travel agent I used to book my trip was referred to me! American Airlines cancelled my trip on 5/20/20 and I was told I would receive a refund within 60 days! When I reached out to the travel agent she's now telling me it could be 90 days before I receive my money back! This is a horrible company! Run don't book! I'm disgusted! I want my money back Funjet!!!!!

We booked through Funjet in August 2017 for a destination wedding as a guest. I ended up not being able to travel due to high risk pregnancy reasons and submitted a doctor's note. Funjet told me the hotel refunded the money through them so when I'm ready I just need to book with them by March 31 2018. Contacted them in March and basically told me they never charged me. WRONG - I showed them my bank statement and basically they were like we don't know what to tell you and pretty much dodged our phone calls/emails. The agent's name is Howard Kunzinger (avoid this guy!) I'm basically out over 1K because they are unorganized and not helpful. So they basically got to keep the hotel refund and I am SOL

I had the worst experience with Jessica herron she never went over anything about booking the trip just basically called for my credit card info I had to cancel my trip and she said she would process a refund the money didn't even reflect the correct refund amount she is literally the WORST and this company is just awful I would stay away at all cost

Won't be using FunJet again after our experience with them. Booked a monday to monday trip to Cozumel and paid the full balance 6 months in advance. I always like to monitor prices to see when they fluctuate and by how much, so 2 months after booking, I'm checking prices for our dates. My search keeps coming up with "these dates unavailable", or something to that effect. I thought this was strange, so I went to the airline webiste, only to find out they no longer served Cozumel on mondays-a change they had made 6 weeks earlier. So I call FunJet about it, only to be told we'll have to pay a fee to the airline, and to FunJet in order to change our trip to Tuesday to Tuesday. They did waive the fees after much discussion. It then took another 2 months to get our actual confirmed itinerary, less than 3 weeks before our trip. All we had was the agent's word that we had reservations. When we finally got the confirmation, the charges were completely wrong. To top it all off, none of our seats were together on any leg of the flights. The amount of time spent on the phone with them through the whole ordeal should be an embarassment to them. We won't be using them again.
