Bought a mattress less then a year ago. HUGH whole in it. Took them 4 weeks of calling every day to come out and look at it. Then they tell us they can't do anything. What crooks. If your happy with your purchase just wait until your furniture falls apart and they don't do anything. Waste of money. Never again!!!
Bought a clock for a Christmas present. As it was the last one in stock, they wrapped it in stretch wrap after removing it from the wall. A week after Christmas we finally had time to hang it. Upon putting batteries in it, both the minute and hour hand turn at the same speed. I tried numerous batteries to the same result. I called to ask the return policy and was told it’s seven days which have elapsed as it was a present. They told me I could return it minus a 25% restocking fee even if it’s broken. I’ll never shop there again
Awful customer service. Lazy sales team. Horrible at communication with customers. I will never shop here again. Sales team does not care about the customers or their experience at all. Literally had a sales person leave and go home while helping me and didn't say a word to me. Just literally up and left the store.
Who in the world delivers after midnight on a work night? Very unhappy with their delivery service. In the store we were told between 4:00 and 11:00. 12:20 am is too damned late, upsetting the dogs and waking up my wife. The delivery men were polite and accommodating. Just the late, late hour is ridiculous.
The sales representative was very knowledgeable in the area of what I needed. He was able to give me a quick calculation of the cost per month and how to choose the best deal for my money. The quality of the furniture was excellent and I would refer all my friends and family members. A great store to buy from if you’re on a budget. I got just what I needed thank you Gardner White.
We purchased two sofas And an ottoman from Gardner White less than 3 years ago. They have worn out! The fabrics on the ottoman has worn through in two places. The frame on one sofa was sagging and touching the floor when my (very small) wife sits on it. The frame on the sofa I use is completely my failing. (I am not small). We bought an extended Warrenty on everything. They will not fix or replace anything. Why? They say it’s due to normal wear. Hmm. So don’t expect your new furniture to last more than two years folks. Or go somewhere else like I will in the future.
I went to the Taylor store and ordered a sofa and a dinning table on November 19th 2019. I had to wait 2 weeks until they had my stuff in stock I took all of my old furniture out, I've been eating on the floor in this cold weather with my little girls for 2 weeks because I was exited to get my new furniture .Then I called to schedule the delivery on Monday December 2nd 2019 at 5pm but what they didn't tell me is that the trucks leave the warehouse at 5pm from Auburn Hills and my furniture wouldn't come until 3 am so I decided to reschedule until next week and wait because I had to go work the next day, and take 1 of my girls to preschool and the other one at day care so it wasn't possible to stay up at late at night. Today December 8th 2019 I got my confirmation message saying that I would only receive my sofa, I asked to speak with the manger at the Taylor location and she was rude, she kept on yelling at me, hung up the phone while I was speaking to her and she was extremely unprofessional all because the sales man made a mistake. he made an order at the Ann Arbor location and the other at the Taylor location. You pay $100 for delivery and about $400 for garrentee for it to just be delivered at midnight when children are sleeping, The people who answer the phone are rude at you .When you walk in, its all nice and they smile at you, but dealing with them is the worst. Gardner White Furniture is the worst place to buy and deliver at. They are messy and unprofessional workers. Do not buy here unless if you want to waste your money
Lincoln, and Daniel at the Canton location are the best bedding salesmen I've ever met. Daniel showed me the different beds, and Lincon explained and answered ever question I had about my purchase.I was never pressured to purchase but was showed how to correctly purchase a bed. I have lost my voice telling my coworkers about my experience. Good job guys. I haven't slept so well in years and am looking forward to my new Temprapedic everyday. Thank you so much you have changed my life.
It started out good but ended badly. The original shopping experience was fine and we got a good price but unbeknownst to us the salesperson made an error in the numbers of one of the items purchased that was only discovered when the wrong item was delivered, this led to several delivery attempts one of which they wanted to deliver at 2:30 am, yes you read that right the delivery was scheduled in the middle of the night and they actually attempted to deliver it then (who does that?). I made several attempts to call during business hours to straighten it all out but could not get a real person on the phone at any of their numbers, they didn’t return any of my messages so I had to drive to the store. Finally after two days this the item was delivered. BUYER BEWARE go over your paperwork, once they get your money this business really doesn’t care about making it easy for the customer when there is a problem. In retrospect, I probably should have paid a little extra and gone their competitor, next time Gardner White will not be on my shopping list.
I had purchased my bed room set and mattress a couple years ago from Gardner White and was very happy. I purchased a big sectional and it had to be delivered to the second floor, the delivery guys were so friendly and pleasant and made sure it was to my liking. Jason and Jeremy were awesome and demonstrated exactly how a customer should be treated.
I purchased living room furnitures and mattress but it was a night mare, one thing is for sure i will never purchase from Gardner-White ever in my life, and I will spread my experienced from all the people I know.
LOVE my new sofa! Great experience buying from Gardner-White! The salesperson was professional and answered every question; went out of her way to give me all information needed to make my decision. Delivery of my new sofa was flawless and 2 weeks prior to the estimated delivery! This is the store I will go to for all furniture needs in the future!
Just purchased a recliner at the Chesterfield store. I asked for a Saturday delivery, was told by the salesman he had to have it delivered to me in 3 days (Weekday). Scheduled for a delivery after 3:00... left work early only to find out that trucks don't leave the warehouse till after 4:00 pm and deliveries can be up to 3:00 am the next morning. Was not told this by salesperson. I did get my delivery guess what time? 11:45 pm at night!!!! I called the store spoke to a Jennifer who said she was a manager only to get" you should have read your paper work." Wow maybe they need to have customer service classes there. But, Lesson learned will not buy from them again. I heard some bad things about them but chose to ignore it and see for myself. Yep I learned. Fool me once shame on you... fool me twice shame on me.
Ordered dining room set in September and the bench ripped. Have been trying for a month to get them to replace it. Have been told several times that they are coming and they don't. Won't ever do business with them again!
Really bad experience. Ordered a bedroom set and a table more than 3 months ago. The delivery date provided was 2 weeks after purchase. Didn't hear back anything for next 1 month. Finally when we reached out, we were told the product got delayed from supplier so will be delivered after 1 month. After 1 month the products were partially delivered as we were told the drawers were damaged during shipment so will be sent next day. Haven't heard back since then. When tried to call or talk to representative online, we were told to contact the store. Just passing the blame from one department to another. Not the first but definitely last purchase. BTW, haven't received the drawers and the side table yet.

went to store in Warren worst place to shop ever. Sales men did not speak good English . told me warranty was included I asked him 5 times was it free he kept saying yes included come to find out it cost me $ 75.00 extra. I got scamed because they don't give me any paper work till I payed in full. also payed for same day delivery a 3:00 pm and they tried to deliver at 1:45 am.when I was already in bed.
I would give 0 stars if I could. Their warranty is worthless!!! We bought a couch, love seat and recliner 3 years ago. Bought the warranty. We were told that if our cat damaged the furniture in the 4 year warranty period it would be fixed. We have been going round and round with Gardner White about this for 5 months. Finally today I was told by Gardner White that I needed to contact the warranty company. They told me my claim was denied!!! Lies and deception. They sold me a warranty that was worthless. I will NEVER buy anything from them again! Oh, the recliner of the sofa doesn't work either. Not covered!!!
Purchased a power reclining section online 10/1/19 for delivery 10/5/19. I was informed a day or two after purchase they did not have the wedge or sofa pieces in stock but should receive them the week of 10/20/19. Just checked in with them via email because I have received no update on the status. I am told they may receive them next week or sometime in November. They aren’t sure. I’m sorry but I don’t feel it is decent business practice to sell and accept payment for items and not make sure you can at least get a solid date on when they may be received within a three week time period. When I expressed this I am told they “cannot force the factory to ship the items”. So I am supposed to just wait an indefinite period of time for items I have paid for weeks ago.

Feb 07,2020We bought a sofa and loveseat. My husband was having hip replacement surgery and we needed an electronic sofa to help him through recovery. After waiting for a month, we finally received just the sofa with a promise of a free delivery of the loveseat in a week. That didn't happen. So we waited again only to be told we may not receive the loveseat at all. After several back and forth conversation , with no results they came and picked up the sofa and left us with nothing to aid my husband. Now we have to strat the future shopping all over again somewhere else. I will never shop with them again 🤬
