Oct 14,2020I bought a portable heater from Gas Depot almost 2 years ago. Sfter light use the first winter and hardly moving it around, I cam to use it the year after (2019) and noticed that heater cabinet they supplied me with less than a year before was defective. It was not strong enough for the gas bottle and the casing where the castor fixes into it had buckled and twisted upon very slight movement. It now no longer moves well at all. I have to pick it up to move it. I contacted Gas Depot and they didn't even bother to reply. I'm about to bring it back into use again for the winter and suffer the difficulty of carrying it to where I need to move it. I've told them again, but don't really expect an answer. Would never recommend them on the strength of the goods and service I received. One star is too much. C Wellington Immediately after posting this review, the Gas Depot rang me and arranged to exchange the fire, even though it was out of guarantee. They were very wapologetic that I hadn't received a reply last year. Packaging arrived the next day and I was able to arrange a convenient day for the drop off of the new replacement unit and pick up of the faulty one. Assuming my original issue was a one-off oversight, I have to say their recent remedying of the situation was swift, easy and without quibble. Definitely redeemed themselves in my book!
