I had no clue what I was supposed to be buying and had little guidance from the electricity company. Google proved to be my friend and led me to Gas Equipment Direct. I was able to find the correct product, it was dispatched quickly, was very well packaged and is the perfect thing for the job.

Order was dispatched quickly however the delivery company did not make the delivery on day planned. An email identifying the problem was swiftly responded to - additional monies for the specified delivery day were refunded, and the delivery company contacted to resolve delivery. Great customer service - and good item too!
Ordered an item for next day delivery which I paid extra to get urgent delivery . Waited in all day for delivery only to receive an email from courier to say delivery next day . Waited in all day next day for delivery yet again last minute email to say delivery rescheduled to next day . Communication from this company is unacceptable.
Fast delivery and good value
In 2022 I purchased a PROPANE BBQ Clip On Regulator and Hose Set. Product received and connected to my Gas BBQ that is kept under a cover on my patio. I have probably used it about a dozen times and it is now not working. The lever that raises the pin to access the gas has broken. I contacted Gas Equipment Direct. I have received a response that dismisses the problem, saying that it was over a year since I purchased it and the product had a 1 year guarantee, but also it wasn't just usage but it was affected by storage in outside weather. Thus they would do nothing about it. That is of course their prerogative. However I feel compelled to warn people not to buy this particular product and at least consider the risk of buying anything at all from this company. They sell a product advertised as a BBQ connector. In my experience BBQs are kept outside. I have kept it under a BBQ cover - I am not sure much more than that could be expected and I therefore don't think it's unreasonable for the product to last a lot longer than it has. Essentially the product is of poor quality and is absolutely not fit for the purpose it is sold for, and it would seem Gas Equipment Direct are quite happy selling it like that.
The engineer that came out to me, found the problem quickly, ordered parts then repaired the system. Utility warehouse who used this company, the service they offer in this situation is a different story, that would be minus 5 stars.
Customer service was absolutely shocking - non-existent. Placed an order then realised I possibly needed a slightly different product at a lower cost. Contacted by email because there are no phone details and asked someone to contact me asap prior to despatch. No-one ever did, and the product simply arrived. Expensive express delivery for a product which might - though I’m not sure because *still* no-one has contacted me - need to be returned. Very unimpressed.
