Dec 15,2024Ordered a 4 panel sliding window, the build quality is very poor. The frames are very chunky with no insulation. The instructions for assembly are generic and don’t relate to the product I purchased. The locking mechanism is held in with two self tapping screws into plastic. One hard pull and would rip out. When I enquired they said this is correct and meets standards.. When you call, you get no help - they just say they will get hold of the manufacturer and call you back, but you never hear anything. Would absolutely never buy anything from them again, and go to a local window maker where you can actually talk to people who understand their product

Dec 05,2024I have now updated my review as once I received the doors I was very pleased with them. I ordered a set of " Stock item " Sliding doors from this firm they gave me a delivery date which is now 2 weeks late . When you phone up to find out when they might deliver the item the person on the other end of the phone just tells you they will let you know when they are going to despatch them, not much use when you have a builder waiting to fit them. Personally I wouldn't use them again don't be swayed by a good price if you have a job to finish.

Nov 21,2024As an exterior door company, I believe that the delivery date should be one of the most important concerns. I completed my order on October 25th, and I was informed that the delivery time would be 3-4 weeks. As of November 22nd, the 4-week mark will have passed, yet today I received an email stating that the products are still in production. They mentioned that they would contact me after the quality control process is completed, which is expected to be next week. This means we are now in the 5th week. I prepared the structural opening and protected the with plywood, anticipating that the door would arrive by the 4-week mark. However, I have to move into the house in 4 days, and unfortunately, it seems I will not have a door when I move in. The temperature outside is only 5 degrees, making this situation quite frustrating.

Nov 08,2024Ordered Aluminium French doors made to measure and glazing with integral blinds. The manufacture a week late but not a problem for me. I asked them to hold delivery a further week as I would be on holiday and this was managed without issue. The glazing panels were delivered separate to the frame both arrived the same day before midday. The glazing delivery man carried panels around back of house and as agreed I helped carry the frame to the back of the house.My fitter had absolutely no issues with the materials supplied and asked for details of the company as he was impressed with quality and price. The doors were only fitted today but I am very happy with the opening/ closing, locking, blinds and colour ( anthracite). I needed these doors as a replacement for exact size PVC doors in my garden room, these exactly match the Aluminium Bifolds further along room. Even the blind colour and magnetic mechanism and I know the bifolds are premium from another contractor. Definitely recommend so far.

Order 3 heritage aluminium windows on 13th September 2024 delivered 31st October (4/5weeks delivery stated) and quality is shocking! 5mm gaps in beading, half internal bead half external bead on the same window, scuffs and marks! Email and calls multiple times no 1 gets back to you. Luckily I paid with PayPal so if I get no joy in the next few days I'll be opening a case there.

Oct 19,2024Ordered an aluminium bifold door, waited 5 weeks for delivery. The door seems well built (fitting it tomorrow) however, the weep holes drilled in the base of the frame are so poorly done it has gouged out the track on every one, and one has completely broken the thermal break. The lack of care was evident by the fact the metal fillings/waste was just left all over it! Couldn’t even be bothered to blow it off - air blower on Amazon are a few quid!! They are clearly visible when the door is open and makes the door look second hand! I contacted the company via email 4 days ago, re. Financial compensation - as have seen doors with less damage sold as damaged doors with discount and I don’t have time to wait for a replacement!! To date have heard nothing!! Guessing they’re not interested as I’ve paid for them already! Very disappointing and wouldn’t recommend! I would add pictures if I could! Just to add, now fitted, the numpties who wrote the order number on the protective film strayed from it so I also have permanent black marker on the front of the door! Great!

Oct 15,2024Ordered windows and a roof lantern for my new extension Glass Openings really came through! I was worried about delivery because of project deadlines and I’m also based outside London but they kept me updated every step of the way and everything arrived right when they said it would. The roof lantern looks stunning and the windows are fantastic quality. I’ll definitely be coming back when we do the front of the house!

Oct 14,2024This company does not even deserve 1 star!! DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! I had an order placed on the 4th September ensuring that the doors would be delivered within 3 to 4 weeks. My builder was promised time after time for an update week after week and they kept saying that an update would be given the following week. I have a small baby at home and with an open wall awaiting doors is causing an awful draft and we physically can’t sit downstairs due to this. My order was promised to be delivered Tuesday or Wednesday this week and I am now being told Saturday which was not originally promised. Please save yourself the stress and DO NOT order! I will be seeking advice from trading standards about this company

Oct 02,2024I had a call from them today and had detailed discussions on the facts on my order E2182 and it was found that my Builder has misled me the facts. As a courtesy they had offered a free glass fitting service. Their professional way of dealings to ascertain the facts and solutions impressed me and I recommend their products.

Sep 07,2024Glass openings are not a professional company. They do not understand VAT, do not have a proper accountant, and do not offer proper customer service. I recently tried to purchase a door and requested the reduction in VAT to 5% as is customary for properties that have been unoccupied for two years. They were unaware of this, their accountant was unaware of this (even though you only need to type this into Google and the HMRC statement comes up and is easy to understand in layman's terms), and they kept me waiting delaying my build and costing me waiting for more than a week to discuss this citing that they needed a manager's meeting including the accountant to discuss this. This simply isn't good enough and strongly indicates an incompetent and unprofessional set up which is concerning that does not know simple financial regulations. Will not be purchasing for them again.
