Jun 24,2014Generally easy to use and navigate around. However; 1. When adjusting the box size for the site required, it is impossible to keep it a rectangle and is really frustrating. 2. Yesterday after I had selected a location plan, I decided to get the free report you had on offer. I selected the area with the redline (which couldn't be adjusted by hand so was determined by what lines there were on the o.s) and then went to the next page to select the report - and it told me to select the area, so went back again. I did this a few times and it never saved the area. I gave up in the end as it wasn't critical. I am sure there must be a way of doing it, but it wasn't obvious.

Jun 18,2014I tried the Map by GroundSure service last week and found the service to be good and reasonably priced. I am not sure if direct extracts are available from OS maps, as I extracted the information in vectors

Jun 05,2014The selection of the area to purchase is very easy and flexible. At first I was bothered that it was not easy to move the area and keep rectangular, but actually the flexibility is what makes it great, you only select the areas you need and do not pay for huge areas you have no need of. The downloading is hassle free and you can choose dwg or dxf formats. We will not be returning to our old supplier!

Jun 01,2014It's nice and easy to find a location map, without being charged for it. Selecting the map and preparing to download it is easy too. The website is simple and uncluttered too, which makes life easier! The downside, when it comes to DWG's, is the lack of a scale bar and north arrow, and a written statement clarifying the exact scale to which the map is drawn, and that the map is indeed metric. However, for the price, it's very good value

May 23,2014This is such a good well priced service and the interface makes it THE way to obtain OS data certainly for a small practice. Some small issues with getting data into Mac. based system using Vectorworks, partly because of way data must be converted from DWG (text disappears and is v.light grey) and partly with what we expect to see with OS data. Always help on hand, v. responsive and helpful and easily sorted.

May 22,2014The ordering process is not very user friendly compared with the ease with which other Groundsure products can be purchased (if i was writing a review for the process of ordering these other products, it would be glowing!).. The full screen could not be viewed on my computer without decreasing the magnification to 75 or 50%, at which size I could not see what I was doing. This applied both on my laptop screen and even when plugged in to a larger screen The process was very slow and clunky. After the third attempt to make an order for Plan view I had run out of detailed mapping credits and the free mapping option was not detailed enough to accurately define a site boundary, by which time I was thoroughly hacked off and gave up.

May 06,2014as most of our projects are small domestic our turnover is high. buying OS maps from stanfords in pdf format means that there is no formatting to be done by us; the pdf OS map can be uploaded striaght to the planning portal. The digital OS that we purchased from .MAP required reformatting (for vectorworks) and then sheeting up and labeling, beofre being exported to pdf for upload to the planning portal. all of this takes time and opens the possibility for our junior staff to make an error potentially leading to a planning application not being validated. As such it will be more efficient for us to stick with the stanfords portal service.

Apr 16,2014This was our first experience with .MAP and it really was very easy using the web interface (unfortunately our version of AutoCAD - 2008LT - is too old to utilise the plugin). Map was delivered immediately using the Ordnance Survey's excellent Mastermap data. Will certainly use again.

This product has been a revelation and is really simple to use and the staff are easily contactable if you have a problem or a query. They did an online tutorial and showed me all the ins and outs. Would highly reccomend this to anyone.
