Very easy to use, with clear instructions. Various options all of which are clear to see.
Nice layout and interface. Outlining was a frustration - snap to point didn't seem to work and I kept losing my outline (my fault for not reading the instructions but it still wasn't 'intuitive') Bit disappointed with the lineweights on the 1:200 PDF - lines seemed to be thicker around landscape not buildings, and a few were the opposite. Height map looks good but a bit irrelevant without some kind of marker coordinate (are these geo-referenced?) or raster underlay. Maybe I missed this. On the whole it's a reasonable setup but for the price I'd expect a few of the above to be rectified...
I couldn't get the boundary line drawn over the entire plot - it excluded buildings and defaulted to exclude. More detailed instructions required.
Very easy and quick use. The download of information allows you to crack on asap and not have to wait around for the emails etc. Simple set up and ability to save projects is great. Will certainly be using again and would recommend. Sunderland Peacock Architects
A very useful source of information, competitively priced with great customer service, a pleasure to deal with, thanks
Without leaving my office seat I was given a 25 minute tutorial on how to obtain information commonly sort by Planning Authorities to fulfill Local Validation Requirements (LVR's). To boot I was given two FREE site location plans with the offer of UNLIMITED FREE site and block plans for the next couple of months. Such offers are few and far between. Very much appreciated. In addition, a comprehensive range of the services by 'Groundsure' were explained to me and were clearly at a very competitive rate to those I have paid for in the very recent past. Will certainly be using this company in the future.
Daniel Yeo of Groundsure was very much on the ball and extremely helpful. He provided within minutes exactly what I required - saved my bacon !!!
Happy to recommend .MAP by Groundsure to anyone. Easy to use and the online technical support was there too.
The format to obtain a printed map assumes that the enquirer is computer literate and given that I am miles from that, the system appears over elaborate to me and if a more simple straightforward and idiot-proofed could be introduced, I for one would be appreciative. e.g. Address of property? Scale required ? Ready to pay? Ready to print?
After playing around with the software it is very easy to use. It shows different elements clearly and is simple to adjust and amend i.e. your title description and when marking out land with the polygon feature. There are various types of maps to work with but currently we have only used the pdf plans, and it matched our expectations.
We regularly use Groundsure to provide our maps both in .pdf and .dwg formats as we like being able to preview the map data available at no added cost prior to purchase. Groundsure's .MAP consultants are readily available by telephone to offer useful, friendly advice and assistance when required and are happy to guide you through the online map purchasing process. One tip - it is easier to use the site outline tool via a Google Chrome browser rather than via Internet Explorer.
My first use of the service after my free trial (only two Location proior to needing to pay). Payment seemed easy and the charge was very reasonable. OS map quick and easy to use (only takes a second to buffer on pan and zoom) Ariel images perhaps superior to google .....
All the information you require in one place in easy to use format
The programme is very good as far as it goes, but is held back by the lack of any instructions which is frustrating and time consuming. I should add though that if a query is lodged with them online, the response is an immediate phone call. It's really good to see a viable competitor to ProMap, which still only operates in IE!
Hoped the DXF downloads would be cheaper, took ages to load screen and download drawing, Andy Crawshaw very helpful in resolving, my old Internet Explorer (XP) may be the problem but Promap much faster and cheaper if the map size is small enough. Also red colour for non buildings on DXF plan much too strong, better on Promap........... sorry.
Excellent, very easy. A precedent of what all mapping services should aim for.
The downloading of the map is relatively straigtforeward but the Help section is fairly useless. For example I i had to prepare a plan scale 1/500 for a planning application wth 2 buildings on the site .I needed to colour both buildings red and altough I could outline the first building in red I could not alter the blue outline on the second builing. It is probably down to my ineptitude but there was no help on the system to point me in the right direction.
Pleasantly surprised as to the ease of use. Good value for money for the service provided.
Definitely recommend this service and site.

Apr 03,2014A good system and easier access than the competition but there are a few minor faults. The small actual area on the page and the inability to rotate makes it very expensive. Many users have only A$ printers and need to be able to fill the page with only a small title block. My first two (free) jobs were quite good but the third done in haste proved to have boundary lines missing which do appear on a competing system. I will use again but go to another slower access system if necessary to achieve the required product.
