I didn’t realize that this was a company that will let your credit score go down and leave you behind. When I realize this, I tried to get my money back that was deposited. They never gave me my money back and I’m still trying to see what I could do. I have contact them over and over again and I will see what else I need to do to get my hard earned money!!

My experience and communication has been open and honest, and the team has been reliable. Each time I'm told there will be a call, email, step taken, or communication outreach, it has all happened. I like knowing that the team is keeping to their word and supporting me through this time!

I have been with Guardian for almost 11 months now, and I am putting this review out there to inform others about the GLG process. You will get a letter offering you a loan to settle debts, when you call in to ask about it, you will be given a head spinning spiel about 'not qualified for the loan, but we can help you settle your debts'. This involves monthly payments into an 'escrow account' for future debt settlements. I gave them 10 accounts to settle. Three have been settled, and four are confirmed to be charged off as bad debt and sent to a collection agency. This is the plan. Trust me that you can let your own debt get charged off and sent to collections, and resolve it yourself, without paying GLG to do it for you. I was advised in so many words to not pay my debts, because if the creditors can get the money from me, they will not accept a lower settlement from GLG. I have paid $40 twice to get the same documents notarized, because a GLG call center rep sent me the first set missing account numbers. Would not refund my money, said they would give me a credit on some nebulous future fee. OK sure. When you call in you will get a random "account manager", I am sure doing their best, but nonetheless unfamiliar with your account and playing catch up. Often times I just say fine to get off the phone before I blow up at someone just doing their job. (I am a former call center employee for a big bank. I know the BS when I hear it, and I know it is not the person answering the phone's fault.) I did not understand that my debt would literally be charged off, after several hundred dollars in missed payment fees and interest were added. I thought the settling would take place before a collection agency got involved. I am worried about losing my home to liens or my wages being garnished or being dragged to court. If I could go back in time, I may have agreed to let them settle biggest accounts, perhaps scrimped and saved to get the smaller ones paid, maybe called the companies myself and negotiated. I am not happy I trusted Guardian. So far it has been headaches and now I am in too deep. All these positive reviews are baffling to me, but the gaslighting responses from Guardian calling out individuals' debts and putting credit scores on blast, and how the individual agreed to this verbally and in writing to all this is truly entertaining. The negative reviews are real. A company does not pay for bad reviews, only good ones.

Let me address their deceptive and untruthful reply to ensure others do not waste their time and hard-earned money with these scammers. Lack of Transparency: At no point did they explain all the charges and fees they would impose on a monthly basis. They are in cahoots with the bank to milk money out of people without upfront disclosure of the numerous fictitious charges associated with the Forth Bank account they opened for me. Here are just three examples of these fees: Forth Custodial Monthly Fee: $10.95 Check 2nd Day Disbursement Fee: $12.00 DirectPay Disbursement Fee: $4.00 Misleading Promises: The rest of their response is just general marketing nonsense. They promised to settle around nine accounts for me, but after nearly a year, they only managed to settle two. When I realized how this scam works, I asked them to remove the six unsettled accounts and provide a written statement of the new amount I owed and a clear end date. They refused, claiming the monthly fees would remain the same and the end date was only an estimate. How is that possible? Shady Practices: Additionally, I received a phone call from someone offering me a $1,000 discount to remove my review. What does that tell you about their business ethics? Final Advice: Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company. Listen to the REAL reviews here. I begin the settlement with them about June 2023 and I made a monthly payment of $850. They committed to settle my accounts for less than the total amount I owe each. And offer me to make a monthly payment for a specific amount of time. Then after making a few payments. It turns out the time is only an estimate, and they wouldn’t commit to providing me in writing the total amount or time it will take for them to settle. That both are just and estimate. There are so many complaints about this company and after reading other complaints, this company shouldn’t be allowed to do business. Just like other users here. I was also told to stop making payments on my cards and as everyone else my credit score went dramatically down an after dealing with the scammers my score will stay down for while unfortunately. Which it takes me to the second complaint and that is while they said that on the contract, they mention their 27% fee for each total amount settled of each account on top other miscellaneous fee which are abundant and each month. They fail to tell you this very important part verbally to their convenience and you only come to find out the huge amounts of fees in the thousands after you see your statements. When they settled my first account, they told me that the creditor agrees to a settlement that will be paid in 4 years. Now it all makes sense. They will be sucking the blood out of me with all those huge monthly fees and settlement fees. After I figured out their scam, I came to realize that I could have settled each individual creditor, keep my good credit score and pay less if I had done it myself. Stay away from this company.
