Jul 22,2024If there was a possibility to give zero stars, then Hamlet Laundry would receive this rating. I used them twice in April and March 2024; the first time, they brought my 3 shirts back with stains which I could only guess was caused by a dirty iron. The second time, they destroyed the buttons on my pure cashmere jumper. The service was terrible and to top it off, I found their customer service to be unprofessional and unresponsive - totally disappointing. The one positive thing to come out of this is that after I used them, I found another firm who are the complete opposite of Hamlet.

The service was prompt with the pickup and delivery, and my clothes were returned clean, well-folded, and smelling fresh. However, I faced significant issues when I noticed that my white socks still had brown stains and, more critically, my expensive boxers and shorts had shrunk considerably. This not only caused discomfort but also resulted in a substantial financial loss, as I now need to replace these essential items. Upon reaching out to their customer service, I received a prompt and courteous response. They acknowledged the issues and offered a 15% discount on my next order or a 20% weekend discount code. While I appreciate their quick acknowledgment and efforts to resolve the situation, the discounts offered do not compensate for the hundreds of pounds I am out due to the damage to my clothes. A truly caring response would involve meeting me halfway in covering these financial losses. While Hamlet Laundry demonstrates good customer service responsiveness, potential customers should be cautious of possible significant financial losses. I hope the company will implement further improvements to their service quality to prevent such incidents in the future and consider more fair compensation methods when errors occur.

From clothes to bedding, everything comes back fresh and clean. Sometimes they can not reached in time about 10 min to 15 min delay just because of traffic. Nov 21,2023By far the worst experience I've had with a dry cleaning service. The scheduled drop-off was set for Thursday evening, finally nearly 10 pm at night someone does drop-off about 1/2 of my order. When I point out that I am missing quite a few pieces, they assure me someone will call the next day. Friday around mid-day, still zero contact from Hamlet, I call and am assured that they at least found my order and someone will drop off the remaining items that evening. I move things around to assure I'm home, there was no call or no show. I call again on Saturday around mid-day, and am assured again that someone will be there in the afternoon to drop off my items. They finally do come. The invoice is ready a few days later, and I find I'm overcharged by a decent amount. I send an email, no response, I use their chat function, no response. I've called, and have been told someone will follow-up today, so we will see.

I also went through their booking system again afterwards and could not see this price anywhere in advance of entering my card details

Aug 18,2022Horrible service from the start….sent 5 curtains for dry cleaning and the only good thing was collection and taking money from my account. The quote procing giving was wrong and their charged me extra despite the poor cleaning, they lost some items in the process and took them 48h to locate and most importantky the communication is terrible. The mails and chat on the website are very polite but not followed upon. The company is ran by a rude man who shouts at you on the phone when things go wrong. PLEASE AVOID if you don’t want to lose money, time and patience. I wish I had read previous reviews before giving them my garments and my debut card number!

Jul 19,2022Worst laundry service I've ever used... They were 4 hours late collecting my order and 24 hours late delivering back to me without so much as an apology. I spent my entire weekend waiting for these people to come despite having booked a specific time slot (Which there is absolutely no point in doing) I sent them 5 emails to two separate addresses, all f which were ignored and received no kind of discount or refund. Seriously bad service.

Jun 19,2022I was assured this place had enough experience handling delicate fabrics and expensive clothes but I received one jacket completely destroyed and colorless and my t-shirts apparently were washed with something blue and got a massive dye and stains on them. I am sure the most inexpensive washing machine would not cause such damage, it is clearly a careless management on behalf on Hamlet Laundry staff. Extremely dissapointed.

Jul 28,2024I am using the first (and last time) this service. My machine has broke down so I had to use alternate solutions for the time being but I am absolutely disappointed based on the service. You can book time sloth for collection and delivery, however it doesn’t mean anything. Today supposed to deliver back my goods between 1-3pm and as of 5pm still nowhere. Saying busier than usual so delayed. Thinking I have whole day to sit home. Why can I book a slot if it’s being ignored? I had to stay home from work and wait for you to come, with this loosing a day worth of Wages!!! Who is gonna pay for my work today that I missed!??????? Absolutely ridiculous, never ever again. If you value your time, do not waste your money and time on them. Unacceptable. Edit: arrived at 6:30 PM!!!!!!!
