Feb 18,2020Actuarial science and clearing the paper was becoming difficult one after another. A teacher for this subject was actually a gift of god. My colleague suggested to find out whether Heytutor has the right guide for me or not. To my happiness, I got an excellent Actuarial science tutor from Heytutor and I am able to march ahead in a much better manner.

This website Heytutor has helped me in any and every possible manner. My kids are doing fine with the teachers coming through here.

Feb 12,2020If I could leave 0 stars I would. Heytutor was the least professional company I have ever worked with. The tutor I was matched with bailed on three out of my four tutoring sessions, and for the one we did have, she was unprepared, and got some of our practice questions wrong. After the unprofessionalism of this company, I requested a refund, and they would not refund the thousands of dollars I spent. I had a very limited amount of time before my GRE exam in which I needed to fit in my hours of studying, and the ditched sessions and time they took to match me with a tutor took two weeks, then another two attempting to get my money back. I still have not been fully refunded and I hope no one else has to go through this.

Feb 11,2020Marcos, the manager, essentially ripped me off $160. Signed up for GRE tutoring. The tutor assigned fail to show up, twice. That was a sufficient reason to request a refund. After significant run around, was told would have to try a second tutor before a refund would even be considered. Second tutor also failed to show up and made up story for Marcos to get paid. Given the experience with the first tutor and the runaround, I had no further desire to use this company. Marcos claims trying a second tutor was the company policy. This company policy is not written anywhere that is easy to find. It is deceptively buried. Nor was it disclosed in any conversation. This was a horrible experience. After weeks, I received a partial refund. I intend to pursue legal action under the Massachusetts Unfair Business Practices Act to recover the balance.

I find it so convenient to find good teachers and schedule classes as per my hectic schedule. The phone line is also accessible every time for any kind of problem or rescheduling. Actually, a bliss for students to today! Keep going Heytutor!

Jan 08,2020Was looking for a tutor to help finish a computer certification and the "Sales" lady was smug. They have 3 plans the lowest being $240 that you have to purchase prior to finding out who is actually going to tutor you?!? Her defense of the $80/hr is cheap, but if I wanted an "MIT tutor it would be more like $100". I wanted clarification of what the tutor knew or qualifications and got that as a response. I'm not going to hope I get a qualified IT tutor AFTER giving you $240, the "Sales" lady again was just nasty because I asked her questions about the potential tutor. I don't know to many people who just throw that kind of money without knowing a little about the "product".

Nov 15,2019The reason I am giving this rating is due to the following. Initially, when I spoke spoke to the sales rep, I was told that if we are not able to find a suitable instructor that the meets the requirement of what we are looking for, we will receive a 100% refund. When they assigned an instructor, after interviewing the instructor, we found that she was not qualified to teach my son who was looking for an advanced, experienced instructor which I specifically was clear during my initial conversation with the sales rep. I waited almost 2 months and no response as they were supposed to find another instructor. The way how this company works is that you had to buy a package at $1500. It seems that once they get the money, there is no follow up on their end to find a match. I called them to let them to cancel my contract as I informed them that due to no contact from their end, I found an instructor through another route. I was then told that they cannot cancel the contract. if I was to cancel, I had 2 options. I had to pay for 2 sessions or I have to meet at least 2 instructors to receive the 100% refund. No use speaking to the manager as he was rude and stuck to their policies...no idea why he (Patrick) is in the role but he has absolutely no customer service skills. I ultimately got frustrated as they said that I should have reviewed the contract and it did not matter what the sales rep informed me. Luckily, I contacted my credit card company and explained what happened. Guess what? I received my 100% refund. Stay away from these guys! I would recommend wyzant tutoring as you only pay for the services you use and not getting stuck with a contract.

Nov 14,2019Did not pair my daughter up with a tutor, she had to drop class and now won't return money. Have to file a claim with Credit Card company and bank. Fraud!!!! Please be careful!!

Nov 12,2019The culture of private in person tutoring is not common here in Brooklyn and hence I was looking for a competent private teacher for my son for his science subjects. Thankfully somebody suggested this website to me and after trying I am very happy with the results and the faculty sent by them. I will revert for more requirements.

Nov 09,2019I like the quality of teachers and faculty is registered on the website as I have been calling for regular tutoring help from here over a year now. Each time the teacher is pretty punctual and works as per the schedule fixed but at the same time is flexible enough to help the student in the best possible manner. Heytutor is a good platform for students and teachers.

Nov 09,2019I am studying mechanical engineering and due to my migraine problem, I have to skip classes every now and then which lags me back in my studies and curriculum. Hence, I thought to take help from a competent teacher who could help me be at par with the class. The teacher which I could get through Heytutor is excellent and I am not only at par but ahead in certain concepts too. Superb work Heytutor!

Thankfully a teacher from here took up the task and within 10 sessions, I was through with basic learning and application. Will get back for more requirements.

Oct 30,2019I was so close to signing up for their services but I got a really bad feeling from the girl I spoke with today and decided to further search reviews on this company; so glad I did. They said I had to pay first before they would be able to tell me if they could even find an in-person tutor that would be able to work with my availability and location. I proceeded to ask questions regarding their refund policy if they could not find a tutor that was able to connect and the lady got really agitated with me and at that moment I knew this was not the company for me.
