Aug 05,2020This place gladly took my money set me up with an unreliable person, who told me to my face, I don't know why you don't understand. If i didn't get 2 + 2, THIS IS WHY I PAID $$$$.... You explain it 500 times, I'm paying for the time anyways! I complained about the tutor, they were going to set me up with another tutor, I didn't hear anything for a week. My class is almost over, and it's been over a month with phone, calls, emails and 2 people saying they never heard anything they will call me back and NOTHING! I was basically robbed. SAVE YOUR MONEY DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY.

Jul 27,2020Terrible, apathetic and greedy. Do not believe their claim of 100% satisfaction and money back. I never received a minute of tutoring and yet was charged AND not reimbursed the amount. I filed a grievance with my credit card who informed me of the frequency of their name coming up in their files. And I file a Better Business Bureau complaint in their home state of California. They never responded to the complaint. They are ranked as a D- company with the BBB. Find yourself another source for tutoring.

Jul 08,2020This company is a scammer. We paid $1,900 for my daughter two hours Worst tutor ever. My daughter said. I give them chance to find good tutor for another half year and no luck.Don’t hire them. They will never found someone fit your kid’s need and will not refund you.

The match making between my and my student was Swift and prompt. I was informed well in advance about the desired schedule. The most important reason I would like to stick to Hey Tutor is their work ethics. The online platform is quite user friendly which makes it much easier to deliver lessons. What else do you need?

Jun 30,2020Very rude employees to begin with. I had inquired about statistics tutoring A few months ago due to Covid canceling face-to-face tutoring at my school. I was taking college level statistics. I inquired about pricing and how it worked and my total was about $1500 being a college student it’s already hard financially especially when you don’t have the support system. She told me that many other families were able to make this work but I also told her that she didn’t take in consideration that not a lot of us have parents or family ready and willing to help financially. She gave me the motivation to pass the class and I did pass with an A all on my own. When I called back to get the name of this company because I wanted to write a review on my experience The guy on the phone just told me “good for you” and hung up on me. You can take this review as it is but I’ll never forget the way they made me feel. Thank you for motivating me to do something that you told me I could not do on my own.

After attending the online classes offered by specialized tutors, I started achieving good marks at my school subjects and even started to enjoy the process of learning than before. The interactive sessions with the tutors are highly useful and convenient for the students like me who are slow at learning.

Jun 27,2020My real experience with Heytutor is very disappointing. My first tutor constantly cancelled my lessons last minute. So I ended up receiving only one lesson a month instead of one per week. After five lessons, she completely cancelled my lessons. My second tutor made up excuses twice and did not even respond the third time, and still charged me $75! I called the company for a refund. Like many others' experience, I was told I did not qualify because I did not meet with the second tutor and also I should have reported to them sooner if I was unsatisfied with their service. Let me get this straight. Heytutor blamed a reasonable customer for coping with their poor behavioral tutors and refused to refund because the customer did not meet with the second tutor who did not even notify the customer to cancel!!! I will not waste any more of my time with this company. You can keep my money and at least improve your customer service!

Jun 27,2020STAY AWAY!!!!!! DO NOT USE!!!!!! I purchased Spanish tutoring sessions and was matched with a tutor who didn't have a curriculum nor did she know all of her Spanish. I asked for a refund as I was not happy with the match. They told me that they have a two tutor policy. I never received a second call from another tutor. There is absolutely no accountability! Customer service is horrible. Still waiting for my refund.
