Dec 07,2024My vehicle was damaged by a reckless driver who collided into the rear end of my vehicle and then fled the scene immediately. Through the insurance company, my vehicle was taken into KC Autos for repair. Unfortunately the whole process with KC Autos (Blackburn) has been a disaster and I would sincerely recommend you avoid these garages, instead, please opt to use a professional repair garage or the main dealer. I have wrote this review as I believe what they have done here should be brought to light, instead of keeping it private. My vehicle has been back into the garage twice with KC Autos, where the repair has been below average standard, demonstrating poor workmanship and ethics. When questioned by myself and the insurance company, Steve, the Bodyshop Manager at KC Autos Blackburn, was unable to keep the same story and lied to offload responsibilities, ultimately causing negligence and further problems for myself, even after I provided a comprehensive report, in person demonstration and photographic and video evidence. KC Autos have continued to deny all multiple issues raised and wanted further pay for rectification. I have had an independent review of the repair by the main dealer, and they have confirmed all issues and provided a report. They also found the rear parking sensors were duct taped on, rather than correctly being calibrated. Since then, my car tailgate has been leaking in water, causing a flood to the internal boot, ultimately causing more damage to the vehicle. Only last year my vehicle was sold from a dealership and I had trusted my insurance company to handle the repairs, but it has ultimately been made worse. The case is still on-going and has been escalated to multiple parties, including the insurance company and the Financial Ombudsman Service. Legal action may also be necessary in due course if we are unable to get a resolution, further adding to my costs for an accident that was not my fault. I would therefore advise, please avoid KC Autos in order to retain your mental health. For everyone having to deal with similar issues, I am wishing you all the best.
