Our experience with Lennox Autos has been utterly appalling, and we feel compelled to warn others. We purchased a £29.5k, 3-year-old hybrid vehicle from them, and it has been nothing short of a nightmare from start to finish. We live 500+ miles away in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, and made arrangements to collect the car on Friday, 28th February. Lennox Autos knew we were traveling a long distance, and we provided them with our exact arrival time and tight schedule. Despite this, the car was not ready as promised. It was covered in scratches, uncleaned, and uncharged. The wing mirror was also broken. We had to ask them ourselves to polish out the scratches. We noticed the alloys were heavily kerbed and corroded, which was not shown in the photos or videos we received, nor was it highlighted to us. When we raised this issue, they agreed to deduct £200 from the deposit so we could have them refurbished locally once we returned home. However, when it came time to pay the deposit, they suddenly pointed to a piece of A4 paper taped to the wall that said “£200 admin fee”—something that was never mentioned in any contract or documentation. Mehdi, the so-called “director,” insisted this was their policy, yet we couldn’t find any evidence of it. When challenged on where it was written, their response was simply: “It’s just our policy.” This was clearly a dishonest tactic to recoup their £200 loss on the alloy issue. Once we got home, we searched their website for this supposed “£200 admin fee”, and it is not disclosed in any car advert or in their terms and conditions available on the website. After over an hour of arguing with Mehdi, we reluctantly agreed to a £100 discount just to put the ordeal behind us and start our long journey home. Once we arrived home, we attempted to charge the hybrid vehicle, but it wouldn’t charge. A warning message appeared: “Charging failed, contact service.” After inspecting the vehicle, we confirmed that the charging cable was broken and the charging port was faulty—which explained why the car hadn’t been charged before collection, an issue they must have known about but failed to disclose. We immediately contacted Mehdi, who promised to send us the necessary parts by Monday so we could fix the broken wing mirror and charging port ourselves. But Monday came and went with no response. By Tuesday morning (March 4th), after multiple calls, Mehdi finally sent the money for the charging port and wing mirror and we ordered the parts ourselves. However, when we followed up about the charging cable, Mehdi refused to send it, claiming we hadn’t paid the full “admin fee.” This was completely unacceptable. He was holding a vital component of our hybrid vehicle hostage over an arbitrary fee! He admitted he was just going to swap the cable from another car in stock, but suddenly went back on his word without justification. Throughout this ordeal, Mehdi has been deceitful, rude and unapologetic. He knowingly sold us a vehicle with damaged alloys, a broken wing mirror and a charging fault and then refused to take responsibility. The fact that the car wasn’t charged at collection due to a broken charging system should have been disclosed, yet it wasn’t—another sign of their dishonesty. Lennox Autos is dishonest, untrustworthy and completely unprofessional. We regret ever dealing with them and strongly advise others to stay far away. If you’re considering buying from this garage, don’t. Save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere.

My first experience. Honest review! I saw a car for sale at Lennox Autos via Cargurus.com. I called Lennox Auto who confirmed the car was available. I asked how the reservation fee works, and I was directed to Auto trader to put down the reservation fee. I explained to the guy on the phone I'd come down in the morning. I paid the reservation via Auto trader and planned to view the car the next morning. I literally planned my day around viewing this car. Arrived at Lennox Autos, waited almost 10 minutes whilst someone went to find the keys, only to then be told they have given out the car as a courtesy car. Wow!! No, call to inform me the car isn't there. Happy to lend out the car and sell it with additional mileage than listed. Not to mention that there could be additional damage, such as minor scratches. The explanation I was given was all cars are for sale. I think I had worked that one out, considering I was there to buy a car. Still didn't understand how they advertised the car, accepted the reservation fee, spoke to me on the phone and the car wasn't even available for sale. Of course I got my reservation fee back. Would I take my custom there or recommend them? You decide. Like my opening sentence mentioned " a honest review " I probably give zero starts Counting down from 5 stars 5 - no car to sell, why? 4 - no car to view, why? 3 - car given out as courtesy car ( answer to the above) 2 - no phone call, made me waste my time 1 - would have sold the car not as listed, for example, additional mileage 0 - see, would award zero starts if possible.

Terrible! We purchased a car, called up for more info on body work, engine etc they told us no problem with the car at all. We get there to find out there was damage to the bumper that had been sprayed in the wrong colour. Drove away engine light popped on literally seconds up the road so had obviously been turned off before hand. Long story short they took the car for 2 MONTHS! It went in and came out worse with more issues. They “fixed this” . Within 24 hours engine light was back on and after visiting our own garage there is a leak and the chain/belt is well over due for a change. None of this was listed. When we arrived we was also stung with hefty charges that added up to an extra £500!! We also was not allowed to test drive it even thought it was not blocked in by their other vehicles…Communication is ridiculous all they do is lie to you constantly! save your money and your sanity shop elsewhere !

Bought my dream car from Lennox Auto and i'm absolutely loving it. Thanks to Mehdi who was an absolute super star with his customer care and professionalism throughout the purchasing of my new car. Always answered my phones calls all hours in the weekday and weekends. Also arranged for the delivery of my car on the same day of purchase. Even now even after my purchase Mehdi is giving me best advise and customer around Warranty cover for the car. Mehdi always polite, patient and Professional at all times with me . Just because of Mehdi and his customer care I will be coming back to him when I replace this car in the near future. Thank you Mehdi

This company has a very wide range of modern low mileage Vehicles available and if you can't find what you are looking for in their stock they are willing to locate that particular brand and model you require for a small fee . So.if you are after a quality low mileage Hybrid Petrol or diesel car give them a call you will leave there smiling 😃 Peter from Weybridge.
