Established in 1979, Longacres is a family-run group of six garden centres in the south east of England. Our flagship Bagshot store is the largest independent garden centre in the south of the country.
We've been selling online since 2002 and have two purpose-built warehouses for stock and packing.

Feb 03,2025I would give 0 stars if I could. I thought Longacres Chelmsford would be the perfect environment for my 17 year olds first job, after going to this local store for the past 25 years myself. Chelmsford cafe - Shocking, I wish I never suggested here, treated my child disgusting, now doesn’t want to go into the workplace due to toxic nasty people, 6 weeks meeting called three days before mocks exams at college, had to go in on day off, to be sat down with a manager and unknown member of staff, to be told you don’t work hard enough, they left sobbing and utterly defeated. Clearly that wasn’t delivered very well. No wonder they are always advertising for staff there, when your told you cant clean a table correctly. now we all know why! Ridiculous!! They have definitely lost our custom and my husbands gardening company will no longer use them. I will advise anyone to go anywhere but here, as it’s also all so over priced!

Feb 03,2025Initially I thought that the order had been forgotten but had been re-routed from Bourne Valley to Bagshot as BV flower shop not open on Sunday. Hand cut bouquet arrived about 30mins after my frantic phone calls. BV couldn’t have been more helpful and I would certainly use them again especially as the bouquet is exceptional!

Jan 30,2025For my birthday last Christmas I was given a basket of Hyacinth bulbs. I treated them as per instructions, and looked forward to the colour and scent in due course. The blooms were very disappointing and looked thin and feeble, the scent hardly noticeable. I contacted Longacres to tell them about this. The response came very quickly, and as the gift basket was no longer available, I was given a Credit Note. This swift and reasonable action is appreciated.
