Jun 07,2022Cherisse provided a non-judgemental and validating space that helped me understand my past experiences and how they affect me presently. She was very good at reflecting back what I was saying and putting it into different words to help me understand it better. I appreciated her patience, as the therapy process was new to me and I needed time to settle in. It also felt important to have my unique cultural and social experiences acknowledged and understood. Something that also feels important to note is that many of the ‘aha’ moments therapy helped bring occurred between sessions rather than within them. Mine and Cherisse’s work together has been invaluable to my improved mental health and well-being and has equipped me with the tools and desire to learn that will keep me healing and growing. Thank you very much!
