Feb 15,2023I received a Maxwell Scott bag from my wife for Christmas. Lovely looking bag. Unfortunately, the strap broke within a few weeks. I contacted the company about replacement. As they didn't respond, I followed up yet again. Then, they made me pay to mail the strap back to them. I had to mail it to NY where they in turn apparently mailed it to England. I had to follow up yet again a couple times to see what the delay was. Finally, I received it back. Very, very poor response to a flaw that was entirely their fault. It also makes me question the ongoing reliability of this bag.

Feb 02,2023I'm writing this more because i was genuinely disappointed in my experience dealing with Maxwell Scott, while being fully aware that we are all humans and mistakes happens easily. It wasn't a big deal, and there are other alternatives out there. But I was so excited to come across this brand and its history, that I was so sad to find that a company that prides themselves in quality and details, somehow left much to be desired in customer experience. First I wanted to buy a belt and was wondering if it could be cut to size. The answer was a polite no, but that instructions were provided and it was easy. No big deal, but it's a luxury brand and if its so easy, why cant they do it inhouse? my 2nd attempt was when I tried to buy a briefcase, which I wanted to be delivered the next day when I was off and were hoping to use it for a couple of important days coming up. I had been looking at this one for quite a while and was very excited when I purchased it. Sadly though, the current stock had not been updated on the website and it turned out it was not available. New stock were due to arrive in the weeks to come. No big deal really if I were expecting it from the beginning. But sadly the whole experience with this company just fell flat and there was no feeling of luxury or premiym service left.. Like I said, with everything that goes on in the world, this is nothing to complain about. But it was just sad it didn't live up to the expectations.
