The McColgan family began serving food in Strabane when we opened a tea shop in 1940. A café, butcher, and bakery followed. We started producing our award-winning sausage rolls in 1978. They proved so popular we had to build new premises on the edge of town to keep up with demand. Today we ship all manner of savoury pastry from a state-of-the-art facility, less than 2 miles from the original tea shop.
We send food seven days a week to retailers and wholesalers across Ireland, Great Britain, and Europe
In addition to McColgan's brand, we are the producer of choice for many retailers’ own brand sausage rolls, pies, pasties, and quiche.

Mar 23,2023Cheap fatty beef full of grizzle. Aldi’s pies are better quality. McColgans, you charge premium prices for cheap offcuts of meat for your pies. I dare not venture through the rest of your menu. I ended up chewing elastic bands from your beef mince pies, let me add, more then once. My 1 year old and 4 year old won’t entertain them. I have a feeling offal is part of the McColgans line up. Not nice and not impressed. Ill take tesco brand over yours any day. You need to rebrand your pies to beef offcut and offal pies. Yuk.

Apr 23,2024Having just eaten a McColgan’s pie after many years avoiding them, I have to say they have not improved in the last ten years or more. I didn’t have a choice today and the “tender beef “ pie certainly wasn’t tender. It was chewy and not much of it. I will never buy anything with the brand name of McColgans or anything made by McColgans ever again, even in an emergency.
