Jan 23,2022Overall, Medwyn was very useful in providing the necessary tests for our recent travel. However, prior to going on holiday on 15 Jan we had booked departure LFTs but unfortunately there was an IT glitch which meant that we were not contacted by your online consultant. I waited for some 10 mins then attempted to ring Medwyn but there was no answer with me being told that I was number 1 in the queue for 20 mins. Frustrating! I eventually started a live chat and the problem was sorted quickly. I have had a problem phoning you before last year and maybe you need to review your telephone response team?

Jan 22,2022When service fails it can come as a complete surprise. What can you say when a self-styled professional health provider fails utterly? Medwyn Occupational Health failed to email a vital Lateral Flow Test result to me. I was depending on this to allow travel the next day. Phone contact was fielded by an answerphone message that told me they were closed until the next day. But it turned out that they were actually still open for business and I eventually contacted Mathew, who was still on duty late into the night, by email. He then sent me the vital certification. A deeply flawed operation saved from humiliation by an employee who answered my emergency email. Mathew 10/10. Medwyn OC 1/10. In response to the Medical Director's comment below I can only add the following: Website works very poorly and is difficult to navigate. Phone contact is well nigh impossible. The answerphone kicks in immediately and delivers the same message at all times of day saying that the service is closed and will reopen at 0830 the following morning. I have never managed to speak to anyone on the phone despite calling both numbers. I sent a raft of emails and Mathew luckily replied to one of them. The emails which are sent by the practice do not allow replies or are unmonitored. The email I used to contact Mathew successfully was a probably a personal one which I had guessed. It was not published by the practice. I look forward to discussing the whole matter with Medwyn Occupational Health management when I return to the UK.
