Apr 17,2025From start to finish, the overall experience was great. Meeting ste the shop manager was fantastic, he is so friendly and looked out for me the whole 2 days I was in the shop. Always there if you needed anything, from endless cups of tea to sugary snacks to keep you perked up throughout. The other artists in the shop were just as friendly, always asking how I was getting on and looking at my design come to life. My artist Nico, even though his English isn't the best we both still made the most of the time we had together, sharing stories and pictures. He made the whole process seemles and the end result I could not of asked for any better. His attention to detail and thought process behind the design was mind blowing. Mine was a cover up and I can say with honesty, that you can not even tell I even had a tattoo underneath. That's how good it is. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone thinking of going for a tattoo. From overall conception of design to communication from ste the shop manager. Everything and everyone in the shop are a credit to themselves and to the brand.

Absolutley amazing... felt so at home with them they made me so welcome.. can't fault any of them in that studio so professional yet so down to earth.. wouldn't go anywhere else from now... and dougie is just an absolute diamond of an artist... il be back in soon lads for my next one ... thank you .x

Apr 05,2025The best experience I have had in a tattoo studio by far! The staff are amazing especially Chloe. I have 3 pieces now by her and it’s been an absolute pleasure to be her client. Extremely professional and super easy to work with. Couldn’t recommend this studio and Chloe more! Will be returning in the future!

Oct 12,2024I had my upper arm tattoo at Mogwai today, it was a full day session. Antonio was incredibly professional and made me feel comfortable and reassured throughout. He truly is a master at his craft. The whole experience was positive; the studio is quirky and spotless and the artwork from Antonio was absolute perfection. Despite the pain, I was confident that the wait would be worth it. I was not disappointed. Antonio’s attention to detail and commitment to complete the work in a full day session exceeded my already high expectations. Steve made me feel comfortable and welcome from the point of walking through the door to the point of leaving with a smile on my face! Don’t go anywhere else. Mogwai will not disappoint!

Jan 21,2024What a team... from the beginning first message via instagram baz give me all the information i need and which artist would best suit designing my tattoo.. douglas what a top guy from designing my tattoo then the tattoo itself unreal... i couldnt of asked for anything better. So help with it cant wait to go back and would suggest anyone to go there brilliant 🤩 thanks again guys

Sep 24,2023Just had my first tattoo done by Mauricio and I honestly can’t thank him and the team enough, amazing communication from start to finish via instagram and phone calls, Mauricio went out his way to stay really late to finish my piece with no extra charge this just shows how much Mogwai care for its customers 100% recommend and will be going back.

Aug 13,2023Just got a tattoo by Douglas and can’t thank him enough. The portrait he’s just tattooed is a masterpiece. It’s the spitting image of our dog gizmo. Would not go anywhere else for a tattoo. The tattoo shop is welcoming, got amazing staff and can’t thank them enough

Can’t thank them enough, the talent in that place is unreal, the place is spotless and all the staff are brilliant, had a good laugh while with them. Will definitely be using them again and telling all friends and family too

Jan 20,2023We Decided to go to Mogwai for our first tattoo after looking at there artwork and wasn't disappointed. From the first contact they were very helpful right through to the actual tattoos, which was done by Chloe, We were looked after and made to feel very safe in their hands. Specially after the past week hasn’t been easy with the sudden loss of our nan. Chole was dead professional really made us feel so at ease specially when picking the right size /designs it’s such a lovely tribute for our lovely nan which we get to treasure forever❤️ The finished tattoos are great and exactly what we wanted, Thanks for a great experience Mogwai Thanks again chole

Jan 19,2023Came here to get my 1st tattoo and I could not recommend more. From the second I walked in the door I was greeted with smiles and everyone was lovely, they made me feel so comfortable. The tattoo I wanted was very sentimental and the artist was absolutely amazing (I unfortunately didn’t get his name) but I didn’t feel awkward at all asking him to make slight adjustments and everything I asked for he did to make it perfect and in the end he produced everything I wanted and when he was tattooing me he made me feel so comfortable. I’m not from Liverpool, I’m here on holiday but I would come back to Liverpool purely to go here again, absolutely amazing.

Oct 12,2022Absolutely amazing place, and the stuff is professional and welcoming. Had my third tattoo at the place. From the get go from placing my appointment to the final touches on my tattoo the experience was great! My appointment was at the place in town,L1. The place was clean and the stuff showed amazing professionallism while also being welcoming to any guests. I went in not knowing exactly what I wanted. Douglas although cannot speak in perfect English understood my vision and pulled the idea from inside my head down to his ipad and drew something better than I had ever imagined. He then proceeded to make it even better while tattooing. Douglas is an amazing person and especially a great artist.

Oct 07,2022As the owner of quite a number of tattoos I can honestly say that Mogwai is the best studio I have ever been in. I had a full day sitting with Douglass and he is so lovely and an absolute perfectionist. He went old school and sketched out the design straight onto my arm rather than using a printed template and then got to work. Such a high level of detail and attention was paid to his work and I am so proud to have his work on my arm/hand. Another artist (Lauren) was working on a couple of people and the way she explained everything to them to make them feel at ease and checking in was everything you could ask for. Her work was also amazing! You’re made to feel so welcome and nothing is too much bother. Without a shadow of a doubt I will be returning and recommending to anyone and everyone! Thanks to Barry for keeping me entertained today and putting up with my squeaky moments at the end 😁
