Munchery is a whole new way to get dinner on the table: we deliver our chef-crafted meals and cooking kits made using fresh, whole ingredients to your door at everyday prices.
Over all my meal was less than usually satisfactory from Munchery. The time estimated to heat the shrimp dish was way too long, which I probably should've figured out which, of course, dried out the the shrimp. The grits however were fabulous. The corn on the cob was really bad. It may be that corn doesn't travel well or reheat well, rather that it's best served immediately after cooking. But it certainly was not worth the price and the topping was not particularly good. Also I'm not sure why you stopped carrying desserts. It would be nice to have something light and not too sweet to end the meal. The caramels are only OK.
Meals are not always as pictured; food is not as healthy - recipes are much higher in fat, carbs & calories than in the beginning. Menu items get repeated often. Prices have been raised significantly but quality has not improved along with the added costs. I've had to complain so many times that I think now I'm just ignored.
If you're looking for a great variety of chef quality menu meals that are oh so good. Munchery is the place for you
Love it, great service. The ony reason I don't give five stars is almost everything has some type of pepper. Even dishes that are rated not spicy have red pepper flakes in them.
Overall, great, fresh food. Great delivery service. Wish there were more healthier items with lower calories to choose from. Other than that, perfect!
Great food and top notch customer service. Menu changes frequently and it is a rare occasion when I do not enjoy a meal. When that happens I contact Munchery who are wonderful with service recovery.
Quality products. Reliable delivery. Can't ask for more.
I appreciate Munchery's talented chefs, their on-time drivers and friendly customer service very much. I suppose if you allowed "half" stars, I'd give them 4.5 - because there is always room for some improvement - no matter how good a service is overall (and Munchery is pretty awesome.) But for proactive feedback sake, I would recommend MORE new main dishes (and sides) each week to try - and of course keep some "best sold" ones on a regular basis, as they usually do. I like the fact they are starting to add some lighter main dishes - and variety is always a plus. Please try to keep some meals not more than 500 calories. Although even less would be better. Think 400 calorie range with some protein, that would be great. I am guessing a lot of women order from Munchery - and if they are anything like me, I eat smaller and lighter dinners - keep that in mind for some of your new dishes (as I noticed you have recently.) And some of Munchery's side dishes are also perfect for a main meal (speaking to all you ladies reading this right now.) I started with Munchery over 2.5 years ago, because of a traumatic right arm injury (5-hour surgery and 2-year rehab) I sustained - so as a very good cook myself, losing use of my dominant right arm was no fun. Particularly the first year when I was mostly "one-handed." And then it happened - I got so used to Munchery's chefs who cook healthy and with flair as I did - that even though now I can cook again, it's like "why bother?" I have Munchery! Lol. Okay, I still cook now and then - but mostly I bake these days. It's been a nice couple year break from cooking and freezing my fancy meals (what I usually did as a single person pre-injury); but now I am too spoiled with Munchery's home made and nutritious meals :-)) They cook the way I do - healthy, but with flavor and pizazz. And with love. Keep up the great work, chefs - and to your corporate headquarters for hiring responsible drivers and a welcoming customer service staff.
Overall the food is very good, especially the beef dishes which are exdellent. The salmon portion in the one I had was small. The drkuvery was excellent.
THE BEST prepared food service I have ever used. Note the "prepared food service" reference. I cook 90% of my meals, so when I order something, I want to know the ingredients are what I'd buy myself. Thanks to Munchery, Salmon is now a weekly part of my diet. (Hate cooking fish!)
Some recipes are fabulous when I first order them and then after that they use inferior meat or produce and the recipe tastes horrible. An example is what used to be called the Brisket and bean dip and is now the beef and bean dip. When I ordered it when it was first introduced it was absolutely delicious, but the last couple of times it was gristley and completely inedible. Not fit to eat. Had to throw it out.
They have outstanding customer service!!
Food has gotten less homey I enjoyed good comfort meals that didnt take much effort after a hard days work
I couldn't live without Munchery. Anytime I can get a reasonably-priced, tasty meal on the table for the two of us, that means I don't have to find a recipe, buy the ingredients and agonize all day about cooking. I am a very good cook and I'm very picky about restaurants. Munchery is great. Almost everything is cooked perfectly and ingredients are top notch. Salmon is always moist! And they do steaks rather well. We have Munchery 3-4 times a week. My review is for Seattle kitchen.
Excellent food at a great price.
Mostly deliver within the window and food quality is great!
The meal kits are great, would be nice to get more for the price. Ready made kits are not worth the price. I do love the variety and that you include Asian foods!!
Convenient like fast food, fresh and delicious like restaurant cuisine!
Everything is fresh, timely and delicious! But I'd love to see the sodium and fatty daily values drop significantly for your meals.
